FC: World History Ancient River Valley Civilization Classical Greece/Rome Post-Classical (Medieval) Europe Renaissance/Reformation Enlightenment/Revolutions World War l World War ll Cold War

Ancient river valleys were made because people learned how to farm so that meant permanent housing for everyone that wanted to stop hunting and gathering their food. Women had different roles compared to the men and children. Women cleaned and took care of the children and house while the men went out and maintained the fields of crops There were two river valley areas were in China and Egypt.

If people didn't learn how to farm then we would be way behind in technology. We would also not have permanent housing either since the only reason we have permanent housing is because of learning how to farm.

Ancient Greece and Rome both treated women the same, their land was the same in the way it looked, and the government was the same in the way it was developing. In Greece and Rome art was developing at a fast rate as well as philosophy which is poetry, technology not like the kind of technology we have no a days, and art was changing in a big way. Many people were starting to see things in a whole new way.

If Athens hadn't changed to democracy then there would be many more conflicts with the government and people. The people didn't agree with what a lot the government had to say.

Post-Classical Africa and Asia is from the 5th to the 15th century C.E. This time period made a big impact in world history because this is when Europe loses much of their knowledge due to the crusades. People in this time period were very dirty and the black death happened killing majority of Europe's people.

If the Mongols hadn't opened the silk road then many areas of Asia would have had to figure out different ways of trade and many people would have had to find different places to get the items they wanted.

During Medieval time pilgrims, knights, soldiers, and peasants would march in the roads and trails learning the different cultures of people and arts. After learning all these different ways of living they would have ships loaded to be able to take what they wanted back home. But on these ships they soon found out it also carried disease.

If the Black Plague did not attack Western Europe then the "dirty" time and lose of knowledge wouldn't have set us back in time we would probably be more advanced then we are now.

Mom | Due to the crusades the Renaissance/Reformation happened helping Europe gain knowledge back and health as well. This was from the fourteenth through the sixteenth centuries. During this time Europe experienced financial growth. In this time art, social, and political ideas went into a new direction.

If Gutenberg hadn't invented the printing press we would be set back in technology because without the printing press books would be very rare because of having to write them out and no one would really want to copy a book over and over by writing it out.

The Enlightenment led to the way we think today about personal freedoms. While many wanted to speak up France was the biggest group to speak out and actually try to get the freedoms they wanted for their people. The Enlightenment was the main reason for the French Revolution but the money problems really started it. Even though the Enlightenment started in England the French were the first to make a move. The French Revolution was due to money problems due to the wars that King Louis XIV and Louis XV were in.

If the Enlightenment ideas were not embraced by the colonists then the spark for personal freedoms and the want for them would've been delayed putting us back in time even more then already.
