FC: World War II & The Holocaust | Sean Mack
1: Treaty of Versailles | This was a treaty formed at; the end of World War I. It required Germany to take blame for starting WW1 and also that it pay reparations to different countries.
2: Adolf Hitler | Leader of the Nazi party during World War II. He was responsible for the deaths of millions of Jews.
3: Franklin Roosevelt | President of the U.S. during most of World War II, he came up with the New Deal, which was supposed to help bring America out of the depression.
4: Pearl Harbor | When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor naval base in Hawaii unexpectedly on December 7th, 1941. It marked the beginning of U.S. involvement in WWII.
5: Atomic Bombs | “Little Boy” was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945, and “Fat Man” was dropped 3 days later in Nagasaki. These bombings marked the end of Japanese involvement in World War 2.
6: The worst genocide in human history, where millions of Jews, handicapped people, Prisoners of War, and other minorities were murdered.
7: They were put in concentration camps and most of the prisoners were gassed. Others died from malnutrition, starvation, shooting, and infection. | The Nazis forced these prisoners to work. If they didn't they were shot on the spot.
