1: The United States became involved with the epic struggle of World War II for several reasons. One was the fact that both The United States allies, Britain and France, were already deep into the war. Therefore, the U.S. was helping to contribute | to their war efforts. Secondly, there was the bombing of Pearl Harbor. After this unfortunate tragedy many Americans felt it was their obligation to go to war to avenge those lost. Some say that current president of the time, Franklin D. Roosevelt, had prior knowledge on the attack of Pearl Harbor -- even so, the United States then became involved as a major force of the Allied Powers, helping to change the course of the war entirely. | Why Did the U.S. Get Involved?

3: Prior to the U.S.'s involvement with World War II, it is believed that the war itself started when Hitler and the Nazi Party both attacked and invaded Poland. At that time, Poland had a defensive pact with Britain and France, which caused the two allies to then declare war on Germany. Despite this, Germany continued to capture and conquer countries as it went along, even up until the United States stepped in. | How did the War Start?
4: Which countries were involved with World War II? Well, that is a good question -- to generalize, the opposing sides were split into two groups: the Allied Powers ("good guys") and Axis Powers ("bad guys"). The Allied Powers consisted of Britain, France, United States, China, Russia, Canada, and Australia. 6: During the time of "Rosie the Riveter" World War II was at its peak -- the men were away, which left the ladies to take care of the children and possibly get a job to provide for their families. Many women took to working in the factories and so Rosie the River was born. She was a symbol of encouragement, a role model, to those brave women who used all their strength and heartache to make victory possible. | "Rosie The Riveter"
7: By entering World War II, the United States was finally dragged out of The Great Depression and back into prosperity. Boys and men alike were shipped over seas to fight the countless battles while the woman created numerous planes and other such materials. This provided a circulation of jobs which slowly restrengthened the economy back to proper health. | Ending the Depression
