Journey Together | An anonymous donor blessed us with a double-decker bus for our trip to Dallas.
New friends, old friends, sisters in Christ.
 It's a Girl Thing
 Joel, our bus driver
Bus Games Nicole and Kirsten created some really fun games for the trip to Dallas. Guessing whose hair, smile, eyes, and nose kept us walking the aisles.
Checking In Better known as "Social Hour" | The bus riders arrived around 12:30. Since there were over 3,600 CHRISTIANS attending the retreat, the hotel was a little slow in getting rooms ready. We met up with the car riders and spent the time visiting and relaxing. What a great start to a fabulous weekend.
A group of our ladies found a nice spot outside to chill out. The weather was beautiful. Remember those repeated trips to the check-in desks that were divided by alphabet just to be told "No. Not yet!"? Once we got our keys to the North Tower or South Tower we set off with our BSF roomie to get ready for our hostess training. What fun that was...getting to greet all those people from all over the state of Texas at their first retreat meal. What a blessing!
Prayer Boas Our prayer boas were a hit everywhere we went at retreat. Not only did they give us a chance to pray for each other all weekend, but it gave us opportunities to explain it to other people at the retreat.
 Prayer Sisters
Our first glimpse at the meeting hall was humbling. It gave us chills to think we wer going to be part of such a celebration of God's Word. When the chorus of the room full of voices praising our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, started it almost brought us to tears.
God blessed us with such a wonderful waitstaff. They were so efficient and courteous. It seemed that we impressed them, too. We were sure they had never witnessed such love, thankfulness, and joy from a group of nearly 4,000. The love of our God was evident in all that we said and did.
Susie Rowan | Principle: The wrath of God is right and just. | Truth: A persons response to the cross of Jesus determines his or her destiny now and for eternity | "Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy...." Revelation 1:3 | "Come, Christ Jesus" Revelation 22:20
50 Years of BSF | Truth: | Truth: A fresh revelation of Jesus Christ begins with repentance. | Principle: The truth about final judgement provides a great motive for evangelism.
Our meals were shared with other leaders from across the state. It gave us a chance to compare notes on class sizes, host churches, class members, and personal leadership history. We had one meal where we shared challenges and prayed for each other. Just one of the many blessings we received. We had one dinner we were able to sit as a class. | Joyous!
Jesus shines through all His servants' faces.
Kirsten's room became the Hospitality Suite for our group. Everyone brought goodies....more than we could eat. We were too busy talking and laughing. Leftovers showed up on the bus home. It was a great time to get to know each other better. God brought us all together as part of his magnificent plan. We pray that our love for each other brings him glory. | The Pole
Reverent Morning There was silence throughout the hotel, on every floor. Even the hotel employees observed the quiet. People were sitting on the floor, on ledges, in chairs....any place they could find. Thousands of Bibles were open. What an amazing sight. | Principle: Prostrate worship is due to the lamb who will execute God's eternal plan.
Sunday morning is a special time at a BSF Retreat. All morning is "silent" from the time we wake up until 9:45. After breakfast, we spent time in personal evaluation of Revelation. What a precious time this was. You could feel the spirit of Jesus communing with each individual in a way that only He can do. Then we came together in the meeting hall to sing our glorious hymnss.
"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, Your God reigns!" Isaiah 52:7
The trip home was full of anticipation. We were refreshed (atleast spiritually) and ready to serve our Lord. | Principle: Now is the time of telling others of our Savior's love and grace.
As the bus pulled away from the hotel, this billboard was in plain sight. This could only be orchestrated by God. Enough said!
