Debi, You have been a source of great joy, pride, and inspiration. You've pulled yourself up from some very rocky times to become a strong, independent, resourceful woman. You have every reason to be proud of yourself. Be good to yourself, trust in yourself, and enjoy your new life in retirement. Theresa
Debi, it was so great working with you and being friends with you over the past five years. You definitely kept it interesting and so much fun! I miss you already, but I know you are definitely enjoying your retirement. Please keep in touch and I hope we remain friends for a very long time! Love, Nicole
Debi, it has been so great working with you the last two years. No matter how the day is going, bad or good, you never failed to make me laugh or just chuckle when you were around. There were many days when I wished you were here and not downtown. I will never forget the day when I saw my blue coffee cup on your desk with flowers growing out of it. I will keep in touch with you on Facebook and don't hesitate to ask me for anything when you need my help. Love ya, Mark
Ms Debi, you know that I wish only the best for you young lady! The past 6 years or so have been so enjoyable, both working you and as one of "the fearless foursome". You WILL enjoy your retirement; just remember, we/I will always be there for you. I'm as close as the phone. Please keep in touch sweetie. Make all the crafts to you heart's content; however you must let us be the first to buy!!!! hugs, Pat
Debi, When you first joined the Fraud Bureau I wondered what we had gotten ourselves into. Here was this wild woman with tattoos, colored hair, and bright blue eye shadow. I thought "Geez" she'll never fit in. Well, not only did you fit in, you became a good fried of mine You brightened up my days wit your humor. You were a treasure to work with. As I've said many times, I never even bothered reviewing your work because it was always perfect! Enjoy the next stage of your life! You've earned it! Your friend and co-worker not "boss. Gary | To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch...to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded! ~Emerson... Whenever I read Emerson, this makes me think of you....Love you Always, Dianne
Debi, I wish you the best on the second part of the journey. Love, Laura | Debi, Always sparkling with jewelry and personality. I couldn't always understand what you were trying to tell me, bu I always loved our discussions. You're an extremely smart, organized, beautiful woman. Clint
Roast for Debi Sterling Theresa: Debi Sterling: daughter, sister, mother, co-worker,friend - Debi is many things to many people but most of all Debi is: sunshine, laughter, purple hair, tattoos, fairies, butterflies, scrapbooks, earrings, and scarves. Thinking back over the 5 years or so that we have worked with Debi, many different images come to mind. Jeanette: CONTRACTS- how many contracts is she now in charge of? There must be at least a million! Who is Stephanie???? And what has she done NOW??? Or not done? How many times does Debi have to explain
to her what to do??? Is anyone going to read my ****damn contracts? What do you mean they want to include HIPPA language?? Aren't they listening. Every inch of the contract has already been negotiated through three different departments during the last six moths. Don't try to change it now. Why do I seem to be be only one that cares that the contract is a year late? Pat: And then there are the earrings, necklaces, and scarves...(show the items). How does she ever have time to make more of these? What is Paul charging for Yvonne's scarves now? Impossible!
Jeanette: Scrapbooking: You can't just put pictures in a scrapbook - you have to have lots of pretty paper and stickers and writings and stuff like this: (Show an album) Once Debi has completed a scrapbook, she has created a masterpiece. Debi enjoys working in her garden which includes succulents, irises, and many other plants. Some of these plants are the same ones that were once planted right in front of the office building. Debi can't bear to see anything get thrown away. She even has co-workers gathering the plants that the building gardeners had just pulled out, and hauling them up to the office with a trail of dirt following. Her biggest concern was making sure that the dogs and the deer
didn't destroy her handiwork. Debi loves her animals and insists that anyone who doesn't totally love animals is obviously an animal hater whether it is cats that get kidnapped by the neighbors, or turkeys that need to be eliminated. Theresa: Debi, I did NOT run over that dog on purpose! And I was not responsible for the arrow in the turkey! I'm surprised Debi didn't throw blood on me for that one! Jeanette: Debi always was a good one for meeting the smokers in the building. She knows how to roll her own cigarettes while keeping everyone around laughing at her antics. How'd
she learn to roll cigarettes anyway? Ummm! What is she really smoking? Maybe that's why she keeps us all laughing. Debi is the most organized/disorganized person around. She generally manages to keep all her doctors' appointments straight while waiting until the last minute to run out to her car. "Can't talk now or I'll be late for my appointment!" Debi's the only person I know that has several organizers. She not only has several organizers she also carries a purse, a knitting bag, a larger bag to carry her purse and knitting bag in along with lunch, personal paperwork, and whatever else she feels she can't do without that day. I often wonder if she has told her doctor how much she's carrying when she's telling him how much her back and neck hurt. Theresa: Debi is a great friend and we wish her all the best as she starts her new phase of life - retirement - finally!
