The transparency on this photo was adjusted to 50%. Can one get the idea of the picture and still read the text?
This is a reflection. Does it provide a good place to put text to tie it to the picture?
Roses | We planted a garden of seventeen roses in our front yard at The Forest at Duke. It is an experiment in color a variety. It serves several purposes: it provides subject to photograph and something that can be shared with neighbors. This is Century Gothic, 8 point. The title above is 26 point.

After several moves--from F Street in DC, to Woodburn Village Drive in Fairfax, VA, to McBride Avenue in White Plains, NY, to McKinley Street in DC, we settled into Surrey Street, in Bethesda, Md. Helvetica Neue LT
Our home for 35 years was on Surrey Street, in the town of Somerset. Although just over the border from the District of Columbia, the town maintained some small-town advantages. The house was on a cul de sac where, even though they changed over the years, the neighbors shared a special willingness to help each other out. The font is Tahoma.
"InI believe a leaf of grass is no less than the journey work of the stars." Walt Whitman | In August 2010, we moved to Durham, North Carolina, where we now are in a cottage at The Forest at Duke. The Forest is a continuing care retirement community that we identified as meeting our interest and needs, including lots of music and other activities, good medical facilities, an international airport, and comfortable living space. We have found friendly and stimulating neighbors, a new church home, and an all-round pleasant setting.
We started planning our first trip even before we were married--a delayed "honeymoon" in Scandinavia. Since then, we have traveled to all seven continents and are working toward 100 countries.
Our family expanded, first with Rachel Rose, born July 12, 2004, and then with David Wesley, born September 11, 2009. Century Gothic font -16 point here - 22 bold for title -12 point for captions. | Family--in recent years | David and Wes | Cathy and Rachel
