S: Liberty University FamilyWeekend
BC: What a great time we had!
FC: Liberty U Family Weekend October 2011
Nothing stupid about driving all night to see this face! What a blessing to be able to see Nick again! We had so much fun as a family.
Southern Baptist Convention of Virginia Certificate
Friday we had the opportunity to attend Nick's classes. First we went to his English class but, they were taking a test so we left. Clark, Raegan, and I hopped on over to Jazz's for a snack and drink to kill time. We then met Nick for his Evangelism class with Dr. Wheeler. It was through this class that Nick heard about the Disaster Relief trip to New York. Today he and the others were presented a certificate in recognition of Sharing the love of Christ during the Hurricane Irene response along with two pins.
After classes Nick had to go to work at the Student Advocate Office. We went to Walmart to get some game flags & then Chick-filA for a late lunch. We grabbed Nick a bite to eat & took it to his workplace. There he showed us all the scholarship stuff he is responsible for. | Friday Night Family Dinner & Entertainment | Nick's work cubicle
We have no pictures but Raegan (dressed as a man) & Nick (wearing a mask) went to a Halloween Costume Party Friday Night | Nick and Raegan meet some folks at the party and decided to go see "Cars 2" with them afterwards.
Poor Nick didn't get much sleep as he thought he was suppose to work the Parent's Breakfast Saturday Morning. We were scheduled to attend but I was so exhausted from no sleep since Wednesday night that I couldn't get up to go. Needless to say Nick wasn't very happy with me! | We headed out to Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre. All the times we've gone to Virginia we've never gone up on the mountain.
Dr. Jerry Farwell used to roam this area as a child exploring and hunting. As an adult he went up on the mountain and prayed that God would give him this land to build a Christian school on. The Sepia picture taken of Liberty Mountain is in 1977 and shows the vast forest land available. Beyond this picture you can see Liberty University in the distance. God granted the desire of his heart. Dr. Farwell came to this mountain on his last day on earth and sat in the Gazebo, that Nick and I took our picture in, with his son and some students.
The Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre is amazing. The building has such a nice resort/chalet feel to it. There is a great view of the campus from the front deck.
 Snowflex Skiing and Snowboarding
The picture to the right is a practice slope in the front of the lodge. The main runs are located behind the lodge as shown in the lower picture.
The story goes...we went out shopping to find Nick an Otter box for his iPhone. We went to Walmart, Target & Best Buy and no luck. | We went to those places first hoping we wouldn't have to go to AT&T. Little did we know that God was going to bless us.! | Photos from my new iPhone
Raegan noticed I qualified for a free iPhone 3GS & then the Representative found out Dad qualified for a 22 percent%discount through Home Depot. | Yeah God
Saturday started out sunny and cold and just continued to get cold and windy as the sun went down. Nick's friend, Cydney Vance, joined us in the stands.
 Liberty kicked butt and won!
Nail Bitting Overtime A magical night at the football stadium! | A news anchor showed up in the stands to do a live feed of the game. I climbed in behind the college students to be in the filming of it. Haha!
 Sunday Oct. 30th 2011
Bitter sweet last day in VA. Saying goodbye is always hard.
Next to the hotel were some abandoned homes that looked really cool. Raegan suggested we explore & take some photos. So here are my attempts with my iPhone & the iPhone app Instagram.
So I am quickly becoming an iPhone shutterbug freak. It is so amazing that such a small thing can take such great photos. | Thomas Road Baptist Church services we attended on Sunday
