FC: Flying 'U' Country Store 1981-2011
After moving home to Sevier in mid 1980, we all started getting bored. To fill our free time in early 1981 we decided to build the store. In April of 1981 we already were having customers trying to buy gas, this was good because we knew we would have some business but, we were not ready to open until July of 1981.
We started the evening off with a beautiful performance from Joelle and Jamie singing the National Anthem
Jay, Justin, Joey, Lacy and Merlene played Bile them Cabbage Down, Cripple Creek, and Oh Susanna
Jamie Wilkerson gave a solo performance singing Broken Wing
When we first started talking about opening the store, we had considered buying 'The General Store' but JR said "Don't buy the old one build your own".
Jack Dean played Beer Barrel Polka on the Accordian
It was a fantastic evening of Performances with friends and family
Jerry Brooks performed some great Cowboy Poetry as part of our program for the evening!
Great food and lots of fun!
Joelle Parker gave a solo performance singing Independence Day
 Friends & Family
We ended off the night with a great display of fireworks set off by Colin and Justin
After Grandma thanked her customers and shared her story of opening the store 30 years ago, she made sure we all knew she would be dying behind the counter before she was ever going to retire!
 Celebrating 30 Years!
