1: The United States made the decision to remain neutral at the beginning of World War II. However, that changed after Japan launched an attack on Pearl Harbor, and on December 11, 1941 the United States joined the Allies. The United State stayed in the war until Japan surrendered on September 2, 1945 and the war ended.
2: No one wanted a war, but when Germany attacked Poland on September 1, 1939, other countries felt they had to act which resulted in the six years of World War II.
3: Countries from the Allies in the war included Britain, France, China, US, Soviet Union, Canada, Australia and countries from the Axis were Germany, Italy, and Japan.
4: The weaponry of World War II included not exclusively Rifles, Submachine Guns, Machine Guns, Grenades, and Pistols.
6: During, before, and after World War II, women were hard at work and were often discouraged. The challenges of women inspired the first of what would eventually become a highly famous and widely known character. That character was Rosie the Riveter and she became famous in that she gave women strength in to get through the hard times. Companied with the famous saying "We Can Do It!" gave the women inspiration and made them believe in themselves. The Great Depression made the Riveter even more popular.
8: World War Ii played mainly played a part in aiding the end of the Great Depression because it reduced Unemployment rates. The massive rearmament policies leading up to the war helped to stimulate the European economies. The movement of war enforcement after the wore broke out finally ended unemployment. When the US entered the war they eliminated the final effects of the Great Depression and dropped the unemployment rate considerably.
