S: Bennon Family Yearbook 2010
FC: Bennon Family Yearbook 2010
This album is dedicated to Sean's grandfather, James McCoy. He passed away on September 9, 2010. This picture was taken at Michelle (Bennon) & Wayne Morrow's wedding on July 30th of that year. Northern Michigan University gave him his degree posthumus.
January January brought another month of Sean underway with the good ship Alabama...but brought me the opportunity to travel. I was able to visit Iceland to beg for a job at CCP/Whitewolf..the gaming company I stalk. I celebrated my 37th birthday there, but alas didn't get a job. I did enjoy scenery and a hot dog from the world famous hot dog stand that was visited by US Presidents. I have to admit, Iceland is beautiful and I would love to go back! | Downtown Reykjavik, Iceland
Just a few shots of the amazing scenery around the island.
Where the European and American continents meet. | A dried fish farm, locals playing golf and a snow capped mountain.
January also brought a trip to Scotland to visit mom and Robin. On the menu: touring around a bit and letting Trish know we intend to get married in a few months. Guess who's heading back to Scotland soon!
Dinner with Robin's son Barry, his wife Claire and their children Neve and Ronan. Of course, the other people are Robin (top) mom (next to him) and me!
February 19 Sean got home just in time to see Bon Jovi at the Key Arena. It was definitely an adventure...as Sean had already been "celebrating" a reinlistment at the Pike Place Market for a few hours prior to the show. We had an awesome time..even if we were at the top of the arena surrounded by "cougars" that still thought they were in the 80s!!!
Before the show started. | Why can't you let me sleep in peace!!
April showers bring... the Submarine Birthday Ball! Sean was in port this year for the annual Submarine Birthday Ball and he took me (almost willingly this time!)
Chris & Mary Kline (the captain) The boys!!! | Roll Tide!
May Jim and Susan Morrison hosted a housewarming party at their new house in May. We had some good BBQ, visited with friends and played some Beer Pong.
June On the way to Scotland to attend mom's wedding, I thought it would be fun to have a few days in London. Yeah..well..I was incredibly sick the entire time..so I only ventured out a few times. (Hotel staff felt so sorry for me they brought me soup on the house!) I did manage to catch a World Cup game in a pub (England was playing!), see a play (Lion Ling), do the Jack the Ripper Tour, and see Buckingham Palace!
The happiest day of my life... | Mom & Robin's Wedding | June 25, 2010
August | The Bama Babes Go Pin Up!!! We wanted to surprise our men for the next mail drop..so a bunch of us scheduled a pin up party!!! We had a lot of champagne, fun and laughs. The end result pictures were incredible!!
USS ALABAMA Patrol 72 This patrol saw Sean gone for a full deployment. Even though the separation was hard, Sean did advance to Senior Chief and came home safe and sound. | STSCS Bennon | Roll Tide | Congratulations Senior Chief Bennon
 Welcome Home Baby!
Early October brought Carrie's birthday and a cruise in Poulsbo Harbor and a mystery dinner event!
After saying I was going to make Sean a Spawn costume for years..I finally made good on my word. Go Spawny!
November 5th Charles Celebrates his 11th birthday at the Marine Science Center in Port Angeles. Sean and I were able to go and Charles had a great time!
For Thanksgiving we drove to Michigan in the new Subaru the kids bought Sean's parents. Driving to Michigan in the winter..never again!
"And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, How could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more." ~ Dr. Seuss
For Christmas this year was extra special since Sean was home for the first time in seven years. He got me a laptop and an Ombudsman shadowbox and I got him a smoker (not for the kitty!) and some books. It was good to have him home this year. | Christmas
