22: I love and miss you dearly; you've been a wonderful mother. I'll always appreciate how, as a young single mother, you had the courage to make the difficult choice you did. You worked so hard to provide a safe and healthy home for your six children. I didn't really know back then how much of a daily struggle it was for you but today I can appreciate the constant challenges you faced. You often worked two jobs and were on your feet all day, worrying about how you were going to make ends meet, coming home after a long day to us kids with your endless supply of patience, love and nurturing. You took care of the house, the car, all of our catastrophic boo boos, and the rest of our needs--and you did it all by yourself. You taught us how to be responsible, independent and so much more. I'll never forget the time when I was as a young boy you sat me down and talked to me about the importance of growing up to be a gentle and loving man. I've always remembered that promise I made to you. Mom, your spirit will be part of me forever. There are no words to express the love and respect that I have for you. Rest in peace, I love you.

26: Grandma, I love you and I miss you so much! You always were my favorite nana. Sing with the angels, walk with jesus, and rest in peace. We will all be together again :) I love you grandma. | Granddaughter, Mariah Barnes
30: My Rock (My Mom) Sometimes I catch myself Thinking, "When I phone, I can talk of this or that!" Then remember, I'm alone She was always there To answer my calls - To listen to my "small talk" Or when I climbed the walls. At times, I didn't feel like talking And somehow, she understood - Didn't say she wished I'd call Or make me feel like I should. Now, I wish I would have More times, to show I cared - To say, just how important Were, all those times we shared. | Deticated by: Robyn
31: I could have shown my love So much more than I did - I never, did it enough Even when I was a kid. Now it's too late to do or say All those things I wish I had - No way to ease the pain inside When my heart is sad. She was my "anchor" to this life - The "rock", that I clung to - The place, where I could turn When, nowhere else would do. Now, the ravages of time Have worn my "rock" away - And all I have to cling to Are memories of yesterday. - Author Unknown
34: The children of Jacob Salter and Katie Eden Alice, Minnie, Bessie Dorothy and Juanita Salter | Grandma DeVona was a great lady and the best grandma I have been blessed with having. 39: I too love and miss you mom. I know that you have moved on to the most wonderful place possible. Please tell Jesus Hi for me when you get a chance. I am comforted in knowing that you are now smiling and happy, without worries and troubles. Thank you for everything you have done in my life and for taking care of me along with the rest of us kids while we were growing up. You were very good to us and you did your best to raise us in both good times and bad times. If everybody had a wonderful mom like you were, then this world would be a much better place. Take care mom and I'll see ya when I get there later on. Love ya, Steve
42: I wish I could take snap shots of my memories to share with all who loved our mom. Like the time we went to Canyon Glen for a picnic and mom was pushing the huge huge watermelon in Robyns stroller and Robyn was walking, carrying moms purse. Ah what fun times. We went there often with her as little ones. It was such a refreshing get away. She always seemed to know what we needed and I still stand in amazement when I think of all she did for us. It was different times back then, divorce was not accepted easily and public assistance for single moms had not begun. I imagine the determination she must have had to keep us happy and healthy. The inner strength required to face a world with 6 little mouths to feed, 6 growing bodies to clothe, and 6 very different, sometimes very defiant(me),personalities. I am so thankful for her courage and strength and the lessons I learned from my mom. | Charlie Emily Nielsen
43: Time cannot destroy the the memory, And years can never replace the tenderness and the beauty of the Love in a Mothers face.
45: Memories of yesteryear...
46: 24 years ago, when I graduated High School, mom gave me a gift, that I still have today... a recipe file box, with some of her favorite recipies. I'm going to randomly post one from time to time. | Posted by: Robyn | Fruit Leather Fresh fruit (apricots, peaches, berries, apples, pears, grapes) Water Lemon Juice Sugar (if needed) Spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg (optional)
47: Place fruit in a large saucepan. Add a half cup of water for every 4 cups of chopped fruit. Bring to a simmer, cover and let cook on a low heat for 10-15 minutes, or until the fruit is cooked through. Uncover and stir. Use a potato masher to mash up the fruit in the pan. Taste the fruit and determine what and how much sugar, lemon juice, or spices to add. Add sugar in small amounts (1 Tbsp at a time if working with 4 cups of fruit), to desired level of sweetness. Add lemon juice one teaspoon at a time to help brighten the flavor of the fruit. Add a pinch or two of cinnamon, nutmeg, or other spices to augment the flavor. Continue to simmer and stir until any added sugar is completely dissolved and the fruit purée has thickened, another 5 or 10 minutes (or more). Line a rimmed baking sheet with sturdy plastic wrap (the kind that is microwave safe). Pour out the purée into the lined baking sheet to about an 1/8 to 1/4 inch thickness. tent the tray with some cheesecloth and leave it outside in the sun on a hot day. To store it, roll it in its plastic wrap, put it in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator or freezer. 4 cups of fruit yield about one baking sheet of fruit leather.

62: It's been a month today, I miss you mom, and love you dearly... With Love Today We thought of you with love today, But this is nothing new, We thought of you yesterday and the days before that too. We think of you in silence and often speak you name. All we have now are our memories, and you picture in a frame. It broke our hearts to lose you, But you didn't go alone. A part of us went with you The day God took you home.
