FC: Our | Life | 2010 | in

1: This is a start to something that I've been wanting to do for sometime. I have enjoyed scrap booking the memories so far, but was looking for a better way to journal our memories and to share and store pictures while saving time and money on printing off photos to cut up and place into books. I wanted to preserve some of mommy's, daddy's and your memories in a more updated way. Starting out I want to tell all four of you, that you are my life and my purpose in life. I have always wanted to be a mother and to be a stay home mother. I wanted to be here for you always and to protect, nurture and teach you in these years that I can never get back and fly by so fast. Daddy and I decided before Mitchell was born that the best place for you was here with me and as long as we could provide that for you, we would be eternally blessed. You will spend a big portion of your life in school and we believe that these early years are the most important years that shape your mind, personality, morals and traditions. We wanted to shape these first years and not have outside forces doing that for us in these years. I know and your daddy knows, that everyday you are loved and well cared for. It gives daddy great peace knowing you are with me. Our days usually consist of dancing (one of our favorite things to do), coloring, games, playing outside, going to the park, going for walks, visiting relatives, shopping, errands, exploring and just being children. Mommy gets dinner ideas set out early and cleans our home and then the day is ours to enjoy!! That's what we want most for your childhood, is for you guys to just be able to be children and not have to worry about adult issues, because again, you will have plenty of time for that. Your daddy has made this possible by being the hardest working man I know (sometimes to hard). He has been in the Labors Union for almost 10 years now and the Operators for almost 8 years. He has a very physical job and mommy hopes that it doesn't take to big of a toll out on his body. He takes pride in his work and is dedicated to the Unions he represents. Mommy is very proud of him and my prayers were answered when they brought Daddy to me. To get started on today, this morning as I was walking Mitchell and Kortney down to the school bus, Mitchell asks me "Mom, how come it's dark out now when we get on the bus?" Kortney replies very wisely "Because Mitchell, the sun doesn't like this cold weather and it doesn't want to see these naked trees." Thank you Kortney, you gave a better answer than mom could ever have. Kortney just got her progress report and received 9 A's!! She is a very smart little girl and takes in information like a sponge. Mitchell is the top reader in his class and he enjoys reading at home as well. He brings home books from the library quite often and they are always hunting or some kind of sports books. I'm happy as long as he is enjoying reading and liking what he reads. He is going to take after his daddy with outdoor sporting and recently has been begging us for a dirt bike. Besides those big brown eyes, he's is his daddy's boy all the way. Brooke and Mason as I type are watching Dora while enjoying a snack. A little cool down time for now. They keep me on my toes and are of course are very active children. I give thanks everyday that you guys are healthy, active kids. Mason has learned so much and the wheels in his head are turning every second. He as learned to open the front door, push a chair to the counter to climb up and watches me and everyone else intently and trys to mimic our actions. He recently was trying to use the phone thinking Grandma would be on the other end talking to him and he couldn't figure out why after he punched the buttons, nobody would talk to him. Brooke, is a very independent, softhearted, wild soul that has a very strong will. She loves to dance and sing and her Dora Microphone has become her companion and moms slight headache. She recently was a Cheerleader for Halloween and has wore the outfit everyday since. Cory has been working longer than usual hours this time of year and we have not seen him as often as we like, but we know that it will eventually slow down to regular hours and we just try to stay busy in the meantime and look forward to our family time all together again. We love to go places and explore new towns. This year alone we have been on Sledding trips, the water park, swimming at beaches from all over this county, fishing, boating, Paul Bunyan Land, Baseball games, County Festivals, Duluth Zoo, Imax Center, Children's Center, Camping at Libby Dam, Camping at Little Sue, to the Air Force show in Fargo ND, Numerous family picnics, day trips exploring the beautiful woods we are surrounded by and along the Soo Line, Parades, birthday parties, and so much more. We are busy and are exposing you to so much that we didn't get as kids and love every minute of seeing this world through your eyes. I hope you enjoy this album and look forward to creating more to share! Love Mom | This is a start to something that I've been wanting to do for sometime. 31: Today at 9:13am Mitchell turned 8 years old!! He was so excited for today, because he knew we was getting an Archery Bow. He was up at 4am today before his dad left for work and Cory says "Mitch, you better go back to bed it's pretty early" Mitchell tells him "Dad, I can't sleep, I'm so excited to go and get my Bow today" He has been looking forward to getting this Bow for a few months now. He even tried to pull a Cory and get his Birthday Present 2 months ago. It didn't work tho and the wait was worth it. He is in heaven today with his new camouflage bow and new camouflage hunting/winter packs. He picked out some cupcakes and brought them to his Grandpa Lamke's where him and his dad are staying tonight to get ready for the big Deer Opener tomorrow, another thing that he is so excited about. He asked me on the way home tonight if I have ever shot a deer and I told him no that I don't like to kill anything. He replies by telling me Grandpa King wants him to shoot the red squirrels because they get into the gas tanks and stuff and Grandpa Lamke wants him to shoot the squirrels, because they get up under the trailer, so it's their fault he says, for getting him into hunting. LOL, silly boy. Mom enjoyed spending the afternoon with just you and watching your eyes light up when that Bow was put in your hands. You will forever be my little boy and I love you!!
