 MAKING MEMORIES

Engagement | October 18, 2009 One Sunday after church Joel & I went for a drive in the mountains North of Spokane for a hike and picnic lunch. After driving around for a while we found "No Name Lake", we named it this because we have no clue what it's actual name is and are not sure we could ever find it again. After hiking for a bit we decided to stop and eat our lunch by the lake shore. While sitting on a fallen log listening to the waves hit the shore, the birds singing and the wind blowing through the trees, Joel started talking about how much he had enjoyed the last few months getting know and grow together. He said he was thankful that he had met me and asked of I would make him the happiest man alive and be his wife. To which of course I said... YES!!

 HONEYMOON IN PARADISE

was late in it's arrival so we weren't able plant our first garden until the end of May... and then it snowed again two days later, so only our green beans, zucchini, peppers and tomatoes survived. In fact these little plants did so well that by the end of the summer we didn't want to see another green bean or eat one more loaf of zucchini bread the rest of our lives. | SPRING

On May 1st 2007 I closed on my first home in Spokane while I was still single and before turning 30. This was a major life goal realized. The inside had been completely remodeled but the outside desperately needed some TLC. The front yard was immediately seeded and 3 giant stumps removed, but a new driveway, fenced back yard and exterior paint job still remained a top priority. In May 2010 with Joel's expertise, a lot of hard work and a very long exhausting weekend for us both my house finally received the face lift it needed,.. including the red front door I had always dreamed of. | 112 E.
