FC: EIGHT | is great! | Cayton Langston | My Testimony Book

And now, my son(s), remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall. ~Helaman 5:12 Cayton, we desire that you head the words of Helaman and gain a testimony of your own and make Jesus Christ your rock and foundation. We know that you have the faith because you have made the decision to be baptized. Continue to build that faith through frequent and heartfelt prayers, studying the scriptures and obedience to the commandments and through that you will grow your own testimony. You are surrounded by many who have done just that and have very strong testimonies, read them and lean on them until you have grown your own. When in doubt look to those who have been there and know the truth. If you ever feel alone or lost we hope that you will look within the pages of this book and know that you are surrounded by many who love you and would do anything for you! May all your goals, aspirations and dreams be set towards the temple always! All our love, Mom and Dad We Love you SO much!! | Make your testimony your | ANCHOR

The Fellowship of the Unashamed I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The dye has been cast! I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made; I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I won't look back, let up, slow down, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure. I'm finished and done with low living, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tainted visions, worldly talking, cheap giving, and dwarfed goals. I no longer need preeminence, positions, promotions, plaudits or popularity. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk with patience, am uplifted by prayer, and labor with power. My face is set, my gait is fast and my goal is Heaven. My road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my guide is reliable, my mission is clear! I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, divided or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won't give up, shut up, or let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, and paid up the cause of Christ. I must go till he comes, give till I drop, preach till I know, and work till He stops me. And when He returns for His own. He will have no problem recognizing me. My banner will be clear! Henry B. Eyring

 I am not | ASHAMED

Dear Cayton, I first just want to tell you that I love you so much! You are the one who made me a Mother and you will always be very precious to me.. First of all I hope that you can tell by the way that I carry myself and by the way that I live that I indeed have a very strong testimony. I pray that you too, someday, can say just what the 2000 stripling warriors said in Alma 56:48, "We do not doubt our mothers knew it." My testimony did not come all at once but line upon line. Cayton, I want you to know That I know God lives! He knows me by name. He loves me. He hears my prayers and he does indeed answer them. I know where I came from, why I am here and I know where I am going. I know that Heaven;y Father wants nothing else for us but to spend eternal life with us. I know that he places trials in front of us so that we can learn and grow and increase our faith in him and he does it out of pure love. That is a concept that I could not grasp onto until I had children of my own. Nothing we can do could ever keep Heavenly Father from loving us. We may make him sad but he will never stop loving us. He loves us unconditionally and always will! I truly believe that, I want you to know that I have a testimony of Jesus Christ, my Savior. I know that he loves me because he suffered and died for me. He is truly our perfect older brother whom you should always look to and try to emulate your life after. He walked on this Earth and performed many mighty miracles. I know that the scriptures are true and know that they are powerful. I also know that prayer is a mighty tool that our Heavenly Father has lovingly given us. He wants us to talk to him and have faith that he is listening. Be obedient, walk the straight path, read your scriptures, pray constantly and you too will see many miracles in your life, and when you do, don't forget to thank your Heavenly Father for them. Be that "one" (Luke 17: 11-19) that turned back and thanked Heavenly Father. He truly has a hand in all things and wants nothing but the best for us! Congratulations on becoming a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the only true church. Always work on growing your own testimony. Be a light to all those around you and you will find joy! You have been given a wonderful gift, the Holy Ghost, use him, listen to him and always be worthy to have him with you. I can't believe that you are already 8! Prepare daily to serve a mission and may you always look towards the temple. There you will find nothing but pure joy and eternal happiness which is what I want for you and also your Father in Heaven. My love for you is eternal and I will always be here for you. I love you so much Cayton! In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Love, Mom

Dear Cayton, I am so proud of you Cayton! I can't believe you are already 8! You like me are the oldest of 6 children. You have a great responsibility and privilege to be example and leader in your family! You have already been such a great example to your younger siblings! Now you are taking a super important step in returning and living with your Heavenly Father. I know that you understand that baptism is the first step in your journey back to Heaven. Cayton I want you to know that I have a testimony of baptism and know that by being baptized you will be cleaned of all of your sins. You are also showing your Heavenly Father that you love him and are willing to take the necessary steps to return and live with him some day. Cayton after you are baptized you have taken the name of Jesus Christ upon you and you must do everything that Jesus did. Cayton I invite you to study the life of Jesus as much as you can so you know how he wants you to be. Cayton I also want you to know that I like you have the gift of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is one of my best friends. He is always helping me choose the right. Cayton the Holy Ghost will only be with you if you choose the right and keep the commandments. Work your hardest to always do your best and be a good example to your younger brothers and sisters. Cayton I want you to know that I have a testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is the only true church on the face of the earth. It contains the fullness of the gospel and the complete map we need to return back and live with our Heavenly Father and our families forever. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and was written by prophets of God. As you read from the Book of Mormon and Bible you will find happiness and answers to questions you have in your life. I also know that the church was restored by a prophet of God, even Joseph Smith. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ and through that vision and others the church of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth. I know that after Joseph Smith there has been a living prophet on the earth and that there is one on the earth today named Thomas S Monson. He is a prophet who talks with God and I know that Jesus directs his church through his prophet. Cayton the Gospel brings true and sustainable happiness. If you want true happiness you must stay true to the faith and keep the commandments! Cayton I'm excited to see you grow up and advance in the church. Your next big goal is to receive the Aaronic Priesthood. Stay on the straight and narrow path, choose good friends, go to Primary every weeks and obey your parents and teachers. We are all cheering for you Cayton and want you to be an awesome big brother and leader in the church. Cayton these next 11 years will be best used preparing to receive the Melchizedek Priesthood, enter the temple and receive those special ordnances and then serve a honorable full time mission in the army of Heavenly Father. Cayton I love you so much and am so glad to have you as my oldest boy! We have some awesome years ahead of us and an eternity we can spend together as a eternal family! In th name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Love, Dad

Cayton, I exist because of the Prophet Joseph Smith and the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Because I exist so do you! I will explain in more detail anytime you want to listen. In my lifetime I've had several spiritual experiences that make it possible to tell you "IKNOW THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST IS THE HOPE OF THE WORLD,' the only plan for man to live with man on this earth in peace. Man has tried many other ways to make this happen, they have failed but twice in the scriptures, during the days of Enoch and after the Savior visited the Nephi's after his resurrection. Man lived the gospel with wonderful results. I know there are Eternal truths we can count on forever. The Gospel is a truth YOU can count on forever. Let it be your guiding star. Follow it throughout your life. If you do you will, as I have, receive answers to your prayers, experience spirit to spirit communication, be prompted by the Holy Ghost and have spiritual manifestations too precious to share. I know this because God the Eternal Father is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. So, the blessings that have been mine and others throughout time can be yours. This is an Eternal Truth. Eternally your, Great Grandfather Ronald Jones | Cayton turns Eight! Now you are accountable for your actions. You are a special Great Grandson. You are the "BIG" brother to 5 younger brothers and sisters, who will always be watching and following your example. You will be the one they look up to and want to be like. So what kind of example will you set for them? It will be tough but I know that you will follow the Lord's commandments and be a great example for them. You will be a helpful brother and son and will mind and follow your parent's example. You have great parents who Love you very much and want you to be like Jesus, but you do have your free agency and they will never force you to do what is right, it's up to you to make the right choices. I want you to know I have a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that we have a living prophet, President Monson, to guide and direct us today. I love my Heavenly Father and my brother Jesus Christ and hope I am living so I can see them face to face someday. Read your scriptures, say your prayers, and one day you'll know that you have a strong testimony too. Remember to let your Father in Heaven help you make all of your decisions whether they are small or large decisions. He loves you and wants you to return to live with Him. I love you too. Happy Birthday! Great Grannie Jones

Congratulations Cayton on being baptized, what a great day! Your Grandmother and I are so proud of you and your decision to be baptized; you will receive so many blessings because your Heavenly Father is also very proud of you. One of the greatest blessings is the Holy Ghost who will be with you always., to help you make the right decisions and choices so some day you can return to live with Him. Heavenly Father wants that more than anything!!!!! Remember he loves you very much and wants you to be happy in all that you do, and the best way to be happy is to follow his teachings and the Holy Ghost will help you do that. That is why your Heavenly Father has given you such a wonderful gift!! Your Grandmother and I love you very much and we want more than anything for you to be happy!!!! Love, Grandpa Jones

Grandma & Papa Jones | Cayton, Here you are eight years old. You are growing up so fast. You will learn that people say that a lot. I love you and all that you do. You are a kind and thoughtful boy. Always think before you do things. I believe Joseph Smith was a Prophet and leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He also was a kind and thoughtful boy. Listen to your heart and the Holy Spirit and you will never go wrong. Heavenly Father Loves you and will always help you. So, say your prayers and listen for the answers. Prayer is a great tool and a great way to talk to Heavenly Father. He always listens. Love you lots, Grandma Jones

I I lived in Heaven a long time ago it is true lived there and loved there with people I know so did you then Heavenly Father presented a beautiful plan all about earth and eternal salvation for man Father said he needed someone who had enough love to give his life so we could return there above there was another who sought for the honor divine Jesus said Father send me and the glory be thine | Dear Cayton, I am so proud of you that you are getting baptized. What a wonderful and important step you are taking. Cayton, I want you to know that your Grandma Langston has a testimony. I know that our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ lives. I know they love me and my family. I have had so many prayers answered by our Heavenly Father it is hard to imagine that he doesn't love and care about me. I have been blessed with such a wonderful family, which includes my wonderful grandchildren. Wow! How very blessed I am! I have read the Book of Mormon several times and each time I read it my testimony is confirmed that it is a true book. We are very blessed to have this book and it has blessed my life and I know it will bless yours. Please read it often. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and we have a prophet on the earth today, Thomas S. Monson. When I watch General Conference and see and hear him speak, the spirit I feel from him is so strong. I really feel a great love from him. I know the love we feel and the good feelings we have when we see him and hear him is the Holy Ghost telling us that he is a prophet of God. I love the primary songs that teach us about Jesus. Do you know this one? I lived in Heaven a long time ago it is true. Lived there and loved there with people I know so did you. Or- A long time ago in a beautiful place children were gathered around Jesus. He blessed and taught as they felt of his love. Each saw a tear on his face. The love that he feels for his little ones, I know he feels for me. I did not touch him or sit on his knee, yet Jesus is real to me. I know he lives, I will follow carefully. My heart I give to him. I know the savior loves me. I may have messed up a little on this song, but the message is there. I know that the Savior loves me and I know that he loves Cayton and is proud of him. You are a great young man Cayton. I want you to know how much I love you. You are such a great example to your younger brothers and sisters. You are a great example to me. Heavenly Father blessed you to be a pat of a wonderful family. I LOVE YOU! Grandma Langston | Grandma & Grandpa Langston

I I lived in Heaven a long time ago it is true lived there and loved there with people I know so did you then Heavenly Father presented a beautiful plan all about earth and eternal salvation for man Father said he needed someone who had enough love to give his life so we could return there above there was another who sought for the honor divine Jesus said Father send me and the glory be thine | Dear Cayton, Wow! You're turning 8 years old and are being BAPTIZED into the true Church of Jesus Christ! I'm so excited for you and happy that you've decided to take this most important step into your life! You are such a fine young man! You remind me so much of our oldest son, your dad, Jarron! He is Grandma and Grandpa Langston's oldest son just like YOU are the oldest son of your parents. Just like Jarron, you are setting a GREAT example for your younger brothers and sisters to follow. You have chosen to be baptized, you will receive the Gift of the HOly Ghost, you are string in your faith, you are honest, you are a hard worker, you are happy and obedient-all traits you share with your father and mother. CONGRATULATIONS on being such a fine young man! I want you to know your Grandpa Langston knows that being baptized is the RIGHT thing to do. By being baptized you are following the example of God's oldest son, Jesus Christ. You are joining HIS true church on earth.I know this with all my heart! I know God lives, Cayton, that he guides His people today through a LIVING prophet-even President Monson. I know the BOOK of Mormon is the word of God for I have read it and felt it's power. It's a marvelous record God has preserved for these latter days. Stay close to the church, Cayton. Cling to the iron rod-just as you have done in your youth-and you will go far in life. God has saved YOU for the last days because he needs his most VALIANT sons and daughters NOW to prepare the world and it's people for HIs Son's second coming. You have been sent to goodly parents who have raised you in righteousness. Remember the things they have taught you! Remember the good example they have set for you-and you will be happy all your days. Remember your Grandpa Langston loves you too, and that he is here for you and will help you whenever you need help. God bless you Cayton, as you take this big step in your life. Stay true to the faith, Cayton! Love, Grandpa Langston

I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and our Redeemer. Without Him we would have no chance of returning to our Father in Heaven. I know that through Christ I can repent of my sins and be forgiven. I know that President Monson is a true Prophet of God and was sent here to help guide us back to our Father. I know that Joseph Smith was the Prophet that God used to bring us the gospel once again in this dispensation. I know that this is the one and only true church of Jesus Christ. In his name. Amen. Love, Uncle Skyler | Cayton, I am SO proud of you for making such an important step in your life! I am a firm believer in the power and strength of prayer. My Mother taught me that no matter what I was feeling or needed the Lord would ALWAYS listen and be there for me. There have been times when getting down on my knees saved me and gave me the strength I needed to go on. I cannot imagine not being able to go to Him in prayer and ask whether it was for help or guidance. The answers we sometimes receive are not always what we expect or want them to be, but his plan is more important than our wants and desires. He will be there for you when you need him if it be at school, home, if you are scared or sad the Lord knows how to make us feel better and sometimes He just can send your Mom and Dad and it makes everything SO much better. I am so grateful for prayer and all aspects of the Church but I wanted you to know that I especially believe in the importance of prayer and even if you are surrounded by people you can always say a prayer in your heart and that can make all the difference in the world.I love you so much! I am so happy that we are family and I get to watch you learn and grow. You can always talk to me about anything even if it might be something you don't want to talk to anyone else about. I am here for you! 17: LIVE WELL LAUGH OFTEN LOVE MUCH | Cayton, A testimony is spiritual thoughts and belief in God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. It comes a little at a time as you have experiences in your life. The Holy Ghost , which you will receive after you are baptized, will guide you as you seek to gain a testimony. The Holy Ghost will protect you and tell you all things that you should do. Pray always for the Lord's strength. Through these things you can gain a strong testimony of the gospel because that is how I have done it. I know these things are true in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen Uncle Chris | I have a family tree with branches by the dozens I have grandpas I have grandmas I have uncles aunts and cousins I have a family tree with branches by the dozens I have grandpas I have grandmas I have uncles aunts and cousins I have a family tree with branches by the dozens I have grandpas I have grandmas I have uncles aunts and cousins I have a family tree with branches by the dozens I have grandpas I have grandmas I have uncles aunts and cousins I have a family tree with branches by the dozens I have grandpas I have grandmas I have uncles aunts and cousins I have a family tree | Cayton, A testimony is a strong and wonderful thing to have. One must obtain it on their own and in their own way. Some of us receive ours at as young of an age as eight when they are baptized, others won't until they are twenty and serving a mission and still others may not welcome the knowledge until they are forty or sixty-five. Nevertheless whenever you receive your testimony it will be precious and is something you can hold near to you, to protect you and strengthen you in hard and troubled times. I was sixteen when the spirit touched me in a way I could never and would never ignore. I believe in God the Eternal Father. I believe He is real and true and that he loves me. I believe in the Savior Jesus Christ, I know that He lives! The atonement is a wonderful and powerful event. It is something that every single one of us will need in our lifetime, study it, review it, believe in it and it will be there for you. Christ will be there for you. I know that Joseph Smith was and is a true and living prophet, that through him the Lord established His church on this earth again and that through the love and dedication of this man we have the true word of God in the Book of Mormon. I know this church is true, I believe in President Monson and know that he speaks to Our Heavenly Father to help us and guide us. People in your life, down the road will question this, challenging you and your testimony but remember always that you are loved. And if you truly desire to know the truth and open your heart in prayer the Lord will always bestow upon you the truth and knowledge that he has because he knows and loves you just as much as he knows and loves me. Aunt Charlie

Cayton, What a wonderful choice you have made to be baptized! I remember when I was in primary and I would sing the song that went like this: "I like to look for rainbows whenever there is rain, and ponder on the beauty of an earth made clean again. I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain. I want to be the best I can and live with God again!" I know that when we are baptized, we ARE clean, and we are doing what our Heavenly Father wants us to do. Our Heavenly Father loves us, and wants us to live with HIm again. I know that this church is the true church and that it will lead us back to our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ. The book of Mormon is the word of God. We have a living prophet, who has been called of God. I love this gospel, and I am so grateful for it, and for the peace that it gives me. In the name of Jesus Christ . Amen. Love, Aunt Keli | I have a deep and abiding love for our Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. I know He is our Savior. I am grateful beyond words for the Atonement, for that selfless sacrifice in our behalf, the great and infinite event that changed the world, and changed me. I have felt the mercy, love and forgiveness that only comes through the atonement and I know that it is only through Jesus Christ that we can be saved. I have a testimony of my Father in Heaven. I have a profound love for Him, and have found comfort from Him as I have sought Him in sincere and earnest prayer. More than anything I have felt His love for me, individually...a pure and perfect love that has no qualifications or agendas. He loves me unconditionally, and that is indeed a great thing to know. The Holy Ghost is a true being that has greatly influenced my life on a daily basis. I have felt his promptings often and have come to rely on their direction and warnings. As I have strived to follow the Spirit I have noticed an ever increasing amount of happiness and love in my life, and I know that I am where I am because of the influence of the Holy Spirit. He is the comforter. He will be a large part of your life. I know that this church is true. I have felt with complete assurance that this church is true, that the true gospel has been restored along with all of the laws and ordinances of the gospel. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and that we have a living prophet today. I am grateful for my testimony of the gospel and want to express my testimony of all the principles and doctrines of the gospel. I know that happiness, peace, joy and love will follow those who are obedient to what we know to be true and I want to leave this testimony in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Uncle Jacob

Cayton, I'm so proud of you for getting baptized and following Jesus example. I know that if you always try and follow the example of Jesus Christ you can be with your family forever in heaven in the Celestial Kingdom. One of the best ways to ensure your reward is by getting baptized which you just did and then renewing your baptismal covenants every Sunday by taking the sacrament-again following the example of Jesus Christ. Cayton, I want you to know that I KNOW this church is true. President Monson is our modern day prophet-He is leading this church through Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I have 100% feeling inside (the spirit0 that has let me know that this church is true and I'm going to try my hardest to be like Him. Love ya man Uncle Jon | Cayton, I'm so excited for you and your decision to be baptized! I know that Heavenly Father is so excited for you as well. I know that being baptized is one of the necessary steps we need to take to return to our Father in Heaven. I know that following the example of Jesus Christ is the only way to true happiness. You're the best older brother to your siblings and helper to your parents. Your willingness to serve others will allow you to bless so many people throughout your life. I know that if you remain steadfast and obedient you will have comfort in knowing that the Holy Ghost will be your constant companion. Stay close to Heavenly Father. We love you! In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Love, Aunt Brittany

I FEEL MY SAVIOR'S LOVE | Cayton, I love you. You are my friend. I like jumping on the trampoline with you and playing with you. I like playing chase and hide and seek. I like going to Boise. I am excited that you are getting baptized. So excited! Heavenly Father loves you! I know Heavenly Father loves me. I love my Mom and Dad. Love, Aunt Katherine | Dear Cayton, I have written this testimony to you three times and now I know what I should say. I know that Jesus Christ was baptized as an example to us and as we are baptized as he was, our lives will be forever changed. The Spirit will forever rest and abide in us, as a protector and as a personal guide to our decisions. All we have to do is keep His commandments and we will forever be happier. I say this with all my heart and love. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Love you Cayton, Uncle Jordan

Happy Father's Day | THE LOVE HE FREELY GIVES ME | Cayton, You will never forget the day you are baptized. I think it's awesome that you have decided to enter into the waters of baptism. I know that baptism is essential to our salvation. It is a commandment of God! The purpose of our lives is to prepare ourselves to meet God. I know the best way that we can prepare ourselves is to follow the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He set the perfect example for us. I have learned for myself that as I try to follow Him, I am happy. Cayton, He was baptized even without sin! He was baptized so that He can perfectly obey His Heavenly Father and set the example for us. We are all sinners. Not only do we need to be baptized to wash away those sins, but also to obey God and make covenants with Him that will enable us to receive abundant blessings throughout our life. Learn and remember those covenants. Always remember Him. Always remember that part of baptism is to receive the Holy Ghost. I testify that this third member of the Godhead is so, so essential to have with us at ALL times. We must be worthy to have it with us to guide and help us. I hope, Cayton, that you will be able to recognize this important spirit in your life and that you will feel if often in your life and that it will lead you to continue making the right decisions throughout your life like serving a mission. ~Uncle Jamison

My testimony is that I know the scriptures are true and that I know our 1st Prophet of the church was Joseph Smith. I also know that the pioneers went to Zion, because they knew the gospel was true. They went through a lot of troubles and hard weather but they stuck to the gospel and made it to Zion, as our Lord was watching over them. I know that if you stay with the gospel and never give up you can do anything that you put your mind to. As you read the scriptures and pray often and pay your tithing you will have many blessings to help you in life and in our afterlife with Heavenly Father. I say these things in the name of thy son Jesus Christ. Amen. Love, Zach | Dear Cayton, I want you to know that each one of us is a Child of God. As children of our Heavenly Father we are guaranteed rich blessings when we study our Heavenly Father's plan and choose to obey his laws. Heavenly Father has a plan and it's a plan of Happiness. In this plan he has given us our agency, and agency is a precious gift. To know this you must know you have the power to choose right and wrong, in all choices there are good and bad choices. God's laws are how we know right and wrong, and most importantly we have been given the knowledge of good and evil. This last part of agency is important to us in our lives and in our gospel of Jesus Christ. Knowing Good and Evil comes from reading our scriptures, praying to our Heavenly Father, receiving and listening to the Holy Ghost, learning from our parents and most importantly to know and listen to our living prophet Thomas S. Monson. I know this is our Heavenly Father's church; I know the Book of Mormon to be true, I know that Joseph Smith spoke with God and his son Jesus Christ and restored this church and the priesthood on this earth. I know that God's plan involves families and that families can be together forever when we follow God's laws and choose to obey. Our lives have a purpose and God has a plan for each of us. To know that plan is to speak via prayer to him daily. THank him for our blessings and to seek comfort and direction as needed in our lives. I know that we are not perfect children and that is why Heavenly Father sent his son Jesus Christ to die for us, so that we can ask and receive forgiveness for our mistakes. Cayton, I know that Heavenly Father loves you; you are special in his eyes! He loves you and wants you to model your life after our living brother Jesus Christ. Learn of him, love him, spend your life in his service and we will be together for eternity as a Family in our Heavenly Father's Kingdom. I know these things to be true for I have received these things in answers to my prayers. I humbly, write these words in our brother's name, Jesus Christ. Amen. Uncle Ryan

My testimony is that I know the scriptures are true and that Joseph Smith was the 1st President of the church and President Thomas S. Monson is the current Prophet of the Church and he is leading the church the way Heavenly Father wants him to. I also know that the pioneers went to Zion because they knew the gospel was true and they went through tons of trials and tribulations but they had Heavenly Father watching over them. I also know that if you pay your tithing you will receive blessings because ten percent of your earnings are nothing compared to the blessings you receive. I say these things in the sacred name of thy son, Jesus Christ. Amen. Hunter | Cayton, I have watched you grow into such a sweet, kind, loving and thoughtful person and you are only eight years old. I can't wait to see what wonderful things you do with your life. Heavenly Father gave you a family that loves you and always wants the best for you. If you listen and obey your parents Heavenly Father will bless you and provide a way for you to have a very happy life. Ezra Taft Benson taught us that , "You cannot do wrong and feel right." If you listen to the promptings of the holy Ghost you will always feel right. I am comforted by the knowledge of the gospel. I know that I am part of a church that builds us up to be good people and serve one another just like Jesus did when He was on the Earth. Pray to Heavenly Father and ask him to help you each and everyday. He wants us to turn to Him for help and guidance. You will be blessed in more ways than you could ever imagine. I am so proud of you Cayton! You are a CHILD OF GOD who loves you and we love you too. Love you, Aunt Terri | happiness

Dear Cayton, I feel lucky to know you, happy to be part of your family and honored to be part of you're life. I love you! 25: Hey Cayton, It's Aunt Mitzi here, your Mom has requested that we write you a note about our testimony of our faith to put into a book for you on your 8th Birthday. For starters, Happy Birthday, this is a BIG number and a milestone in your life. Lots of exciting things will be happening, enjoy every minute of it. I'm not sure that anything I say will really mean anything to you at this time but I believe that as you get older you will remember these words and they will help you through life. You are a very special and lucky guy to have been born into such an amazing family. Along with your Mother, Father, brothers and sisters that love you with all of their hearts and would do anything for you, you have a "truckload" of Aunts, Uncles, grandma's and grandpa's (and tons of cousins) that love you as well. As you go through life with all the trials and decisions, don't forget that you can lean on any of us for anything you need. We are here for you no matter what. You are very BLESSED....and most of all LOVED. Finally, Love God for he loves you and will always be with you. He will help guide you through the rest of your life and he will never judge you for the decisions you make. Happy 8th Birthday. Enjoy the special day. Love you with all my heart, Aunt Mitzi | LOVED | I am

Happy Birthday, Sweet Cayton! How wonderful it is to be celebrating your birthday! You are an amazing young man and you are going to do spectacular things with your life. You may wonder how I know this. I know this because your Mom and Dad have God in their hearts and they show Him to you every single day. They show you the goodness of our Savior in their words and their actions. I have known your Dad since he was 14 years old. I have a very, very special place in my heart for him. When he told me that he was going to marry your Mom, I knew that I would love her too and I do. Together, your parents are a living and shining example of what God's love is all about. They are selfless, responsible, respectful, passionate and dedicated to you and your sisters and brothers as only parents who put God first in their home and lives can be. On this your 8th birthday, I want to tell you that I am thankful to know you and your family and that I look forward to seeing God's love shinning in your heart! I love you Cayton! Annmarie

Dearest Cayton, My testimony is made up of a thousand small instances that have touched my spirit. I cannot say that I have had "a" moment in which I have all of a sudden known that he Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. For me, it was a thousand little moments...moments while reading the scriptures, while attending church meetings, while praying, and other activities. As I actively took part in the gospel, the spirit testified to me of its truth. I have no doubt that sometime during your life you will also experience something of what I speak. I plead with you to hold to that moment, build upon it. In Alma, it talks about faith being like a seed. Alma explains that if it is a good seed, it will swell within our souls, and we will know that it is good. But knowing something is good is not enough. Alma also talks about how we must then nourish it, and allow it to grow. Testimony takes action-without nourishing the seed or that "moment", the seed will not grow within us. Cayton, I have taken Alma's challenge. I have nourished the word of God, and I have felt it grow within my soul. Because of this action, I testify that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I know that God loves us, and wants us to live with Him again. I know that God knows you individually, and that His arms are outstretched to you. I know that as a loving Father in Heaven, He wants you to return to Him. I also know that it is only through our Savior, Jesus Christ, that we can return to Him. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is for me and you! Cayton, congratulations on getting baptized! You have made the first step in seeki8ng the Kingdom of Heaven! As you continue on this path, You will be blessed! Love, Carrie Miller

Cayton, I have a testimony of my Savior, Jesus Christ. He created this Earth and the Heavens and everything in them. (Doctrine & Covenants 14:9, Moses 1:33) He knows me personally. I know this because as I have read the scriptures I have felt the burning of the Holy Ghost. It has testified the truth of it to me. I know that by reading the scriptures with a prayer in your heart, you will know the scriptures are true. (Moroni 10:3-5) I know my Father in Heaven loves me too, and he hears my prayers. I know my family will be with me after I die, because of the covenants I have made in the temple of God. I hold onto those covenants with all my heart, might, mind , and strength, because if I do God will allow me to be with Him again. I believe in His Plan of Happiness or Plan of Salvation. Just as the primary song says,"My life is a gift. My life has a plan. My life has a purpose, in Heaven it began." I know Baptism is essential in the plan. (Article of Faith #4) Even our Savior who was perfect, was baptized "to fulfill all righteousness". (Matthew 3:13-17) I know that the Savior suffered for my sins. I love Him for that. No matter what mistakes we make, we can through His atonement, become clean again. Just as clean as on your baptism day. I want to share with you a special memory I have from my baptism. When I went down into the water, I felt very warm inside. I cried. Then, when my Dad, Grandpa, brothers and uncles laid their hands upon my head and confirmed me a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I felt wrapped in the arms of my Savior. I knew the Gospel was true, that I had made the right decision, and my testimony burned. You will feel those feelings of the Spirit on this special day. Listen to them. I bear this testimony in the name of Jesus Christ,. Amen. Sister Cynthia Langford | Cayton, I believe in Jesus Christ. I know that He is real and that He died for us. And He gave us the Melchizedek Priesthood. I know that Jesus created the Earth. I know that Baptism is a good thing. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen." Kian Langford | The Langford Family Brian, Cynthia, Kian, Emma and Lauren

Landon | Spencer | The Tobler Family Nick, Jen, Spencer (4), Landon (2) and Cooper (1 mo.) | Cayton, I would love to bear my testimony and let you know, that I know the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church restored on the earth today. I believe that the Prophet Joseph Smith was called of God to translate the Book of Mormon and re-establish His true church for us in these modern days. The words written in that book bear testimony of a living Savior and Father in Heaven that love us and want us to be obedient to their words and commandments so we can return and live with them again someday. I am grateful for the example of modern and ancient prophets who have shared with us their testimony by word and action so we have a pattern we can follow to build and strengthen our own testimonies. I know through my own experiences that the Lord loves His children and watches over them. We are never alone. He hears and answers every prayer especially those that earnestly seek His council and wisdom. I have had many heartfelt prayers answered exactly how I had hoped, and I have had a few answered in a very different manner than I had expected. As I have learned to accept our Heavenly Father's plan for me and His children I have grown to feel a great peace in my life that I can't find anywhere else in this world. Our perspective at times can be small and limited but the Savior knows our heart, desires and capabilities. He knows how to strengthen us and line upon line he teaches us to trust in Hom and learn on His wisdom and eternal sight. I love my Heavenly Father and am thankful for our living Prophet Thomas S. Monson. I know he teaches us in truth and that he is the mouth piece of the Lord. He was called of God and manifests His teachings to us. I trust that when we follow his teachings and strive to do what is right we are blessed. I also have a strong testimony of the magnificent blessings that come from paying our tithing. I have never hesitated to pay back ten percent of what the Savior has so richly blessed me with, and because of that I believe that He has never hesitated to bless me. I stand all amazed at the love and blessings our Heaven;y Father bestows upon His children. If we stand still and ponder on what the Savior of the world has done for us it is overwhelming to think about. He truly did die for us so we may live again. He voluntarily made the ultimate sacrifice because he loved us and wished for us to have every blessing available to us. I am grateful for the Holy Ghost and the witness He bears of the Father and the Son. We are fortunate to live when the witness of the Holy Ghost is ours to know and feel. I can't think of a greater gift that our Heavenly Father could send to us in these days than that of the Spirit. Cayton, I hope you come to love and recognize the Holy Ghost as your new companion so that you too can feel of our Savior's love and know that He lives! You are making the right choices and steps in your life. Continue to exercise your agency for righteousness- You will never regret the consequences! I love you, Jen Tobler

Dear Cayton, I know that it is right to get baptized. I know that the church is true. I know that Joseph Smith prayed in the Sacred Grove. I know that the Prophet tells us true things. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Love, Amber Miller | Dear Cayton, How do you feel about getting baptized? I know the church is true. 31: Dear Cayton, I know that the Church is true and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he restored the Church. I know that the temple is a House of God, and that our bodies are temples too, and that we need to keep them clean. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true Prophet and he gets revelation from Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that Heavenly Father lives. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and the prophets in it are true prophets of God and they know what they are talking about. I know that just like Nephi had obedience, so should we have obedience. I know that by getting baptized we move closer to Heavenly Father. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. 32: Bishopric | Dear Cayton, Congratulations on your decision to be baptized, conferred a member of the Church and receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost. That is an extremely important decision and step to take in your life. I'm very proud of you as your Bishop and am grateful for your good example to the younger kids in our ward. Cayton, I want you to know how grateful I am for the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. Everything that is good in my life and that has brought me happiness and peace has come through living the gospel principles. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of happiness and as you follow His perfect example it will affect every aspect of your life. It will make you happier, give you direction in life, help you with the difficult decisions you will face in life, help you with your friends, help you in your future marriage, and overall help you to be a better person-the type of person your Heavenly Father wants you to be. When things get difficult in your life it is such a blessing and help to know who you truly are, that you are a Son of God and that he knows you and will help you. You know where you are from, why you are here and where you are going-that knowledge will bring you great peace. I am grateful for the opportunity we have to repent when we make mistakes. The atonement of Jesus Christ makes that possible. One of the best ways we can show our appreciation to him is by taking advantage of His atonement and using it in our lives. I am excited for the opportunity you will have someday to go through the temple and be sealed to your eternal companion. The temple is an amazing place where we can get closer to our Heavenly Father. Always make that a priority in your life-that you will be married in the temple. Again, congratulations Cayton. Continue to stay close to the gospel and build your testimony, it truly is the path to happiness. Love, Bishop Nathan Olsen

Cayton, Baptism is an exciting thing and your decision to be baptized brings joy to so many of the people who love and care about you, including Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, your immediate family and extended family, your teachers and all of your friends. I am sure you have learned of the importance of baptism and your choice to follow in the footsteps of Jesus is the right one. I hope you will remember the Spirit that you feel and write it down. There is happiness in being baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost. After another 4 years pass and having received the Aaronic Priesthood, you will be able to experience that happiness again by going to the temple and being baptized for people who have died but still need that ordinance. And then a little later in life you will have the opportunity to teach the gospel and baptize those who have accepted truth and want to join the Church. I have a testimony of the importance of what you are doing. Baptism is necessary for us to return to Heavenly Father. I have a testimony that God continues to teach us through living prophets. I have a testimony that the scriptures help us learn and grow while providing us strength to do what is right. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of mankind. I also know that He loves you very much. Pray always that you will always feel the Spirit close to witness of truth and the love your Heavenly Father has for you. I share with you a portion of my testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, as we do all things in His name. Amen. Brother Larry Horton First Counselor

Cayton, I testify that our Heavenly Father lives, that we are His children and that He loves us with a perfect and infinite love. I know that because of that love for us He sent His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ to come to the earth to show us the way to love. He showed us how we should love and serve one another and be obedient to our Heavenly Father in all things. I testify that Jesus lives. As the primary song says, Jesus is real to me. I love Him because He first loved us. I know He gave up His mortal life for me, that He suffered for my sins so that by exercising faith in Him, being baptized, repenting when I make mistakes along the way, trying my best to keep the Holy Ghost as my constant companion and being obedient to His commandments I can return to live with Him someday. I know these things are true, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. Brother Kai Wittwer Second Counselor | Bishopric

Primary | presidency | Dear Cayton, Congratulations! You've waited 8 long years, and the day has finally come for you to be baptized. What a joyous and exciting experience for you! You've grown up so much since you were in my preschool class 4 years ago, and it has been so wonderful to watch you become such a handsome young man. The decision you've made to be baptized is one of the biggest and most important decisions for you to make in your life here on earth. Heavenly Father is so proud of you and the choice that you have made to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He is our Father and loves each of us individually, and I know he will be with you, in spirit, on this special day. I want to bear my testimony to you that I know this Church is true. I know that Jesus Christ is our brother and that He lived on the earth. I know that he ministered to the people to teach the the same gospel that we have today here on this earth.- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that his mission on this earth was to give his life for us, that we would have the Atonement, so we could repent of our sins, be forgiven, and return to live with our Heavenly Father again someday. I know that Joseph Smith was preordained to reorganize the church so we could have it on the earth today. I know that it was through the power of the priesthood that he was able to translate the Book of Mormon. I know that through the priesthood we continue to have a prophet and apostles who are called of God to lead and guide us in these latter days. I know that you are making the right decision to be baptized. I know that by being baptized and receiving the Hold Ghost you will be watched over and protected from the adversary in times of need. I envision angels singing when they see those wonderful boys and girls, such as yourself, make the decision to become members of the church. You are such a terrific young son of our Heavenly Father and I know that the example you've set to be baptized will make a huge impact on your brothers and sisters, friends, and neighbors. You are loved by our Heavenly Father so much, as well as your friends, family , and teachers (that includes me) Congratulations, and Ill see you on your special baptism day. With Love, Sister Heather Merritt/Miss Heather President

Primary | presidency | Cayton, I am so happy to see you following the Savior. I know that by being baptized you are doing what Heavenly Father wants. It is part of His plan for you and each of us. I know that our Heavenly Father loves you. YOu will feel that love through the Spirit and through the family and friends that surround you today. You will receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost today. Listening to the Spirit will help you choose the right. Remember to listen closely. He often is quiet. I know that God lives. He listens to us. I know that Christ came to this earth and made it possible for us to live with Heavenly Father again. Use the Atonement to repent and then continue trying to be like Jesus. I'm trying to Be Like Jesus is my favorite primary song. I think of those words daily. As you try to be like Jesus your own testimony will grow. Heavenly Father has given us a living prophet. Listen to him. He is called of God to teach us. I know that the scriptures are written by true prophets. I know that Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ. I know that families can be together forever. Continue trying to be like Jesus. Love, Sister Ruthanne Horton First Counselor

teachers | Cayton, I have enjoyed teaching you in primary class. The testimony you have that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true shows by your actions, the way that you talk and the glow in your face. 40: Cayton, Faith has always been my strong point. I have always had faith. But, since July it has been as though I've been looking for my faith literally under a rug. It was like it was gone. The second Elder that bore his testimony about, The Race, was for me. Since July I have wanted to quit, give up. I felt like I'm finished, I'm done. We don't know what is going to happen. But I do know God lives. I'm not different than anyone else. We all have trials. I've received a lot of messages from Heaven lately and I've needed them. I've also received a lot of blessings lately. Heavenly Father gives us blessings because He loves us so much. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Love, Sister Christy Tarbet CTR 6 Teacher * In July 2011 Sis. Tarbet was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer

"Quit! Give Up! You're Beaten!" They shout and plead, There's just too much against you now, this time you can't succeed. And as I start to hang my head in front of failure's face, My downward fall is broken by the memory of a race. And hope refills my weakened will as I recall that scene. For just the thought of that short race rejuvenates my being. A children's race, young boys, young men; now I remember well. Excitement, sure, but also fear; it wasn't hard to tell. They all lined up so full of hope. Each thought to win the race. Or tie for first, or if not that, at least take second place. And fathers watched from off the side, each cheering for his son. And each boy hoped to show his dad that he would be the one. The whistle blew and off they went, young hearts and hopes of fire. To win, to be the hero there, was each young boy's desire. And one boy in particular, his dad was in the crowd, Was running near the lead and thought, "My dad will be so proud." But as he speeded down the field across a shallow dip, The little boy who thought to win, lost his step and slipped. Trying hard to catch himself, his hands flew out to brace, And mid the laughter of the crowd, he fell flat on his face. | So down he fell and with him hope. He couldn't win it now. Embarrassed, sad, he only wished to disappear somehow. But as he fell , his dad stood up and showed his anxious face, Which to the boy so clearly said, "Get up and win that race!" He quickly rose, no damage done-behind a bit, that's all, And ran with all his mind and might to make up for his fall. So anxious to restore himself to catch up and to win, His mind went faster than his legs. He slipped and fell again. He wished that he had quit before with only one disgrace. I'm hopeless as a runner now, I shouldn't try to race. But, in the laughing crowd he searched and found his father's face That steady look that said again, "Get up and win the race." | So, he jumped up to try again. Ten yards behind the last. If I'm to gain those yards, he thought, I've got to run real fast. Exceeding everything he had, he regained eight or ten, But trying so hard to catch the lead, he slipped and fell again. Defeat! He lay there silently, a tear dropped from his eye. There's no sense running anymore- three strikes I'm out- why try? The will to rise had disappeared, all hope had flew away. So far behind, so error prone, closer all the way. I've lost, so what's the use, he thought, I'll live with my disgrace. But then he thought about his dad, who soon he'd have to face. "Get up.," an echo sounded low. "Get up and take your place. You were not meant for failure here, get up and win the race." With borrowed will, "Get up," it said, "You haven't lost at all, For winning is not more than this, to rise each time you fall." So up he rose to win once more. And with a new commit, He resolved that win or lose, at least he wouldn't quit. So far behind the others now, the most he'd ever been. Still he gave it all he had and ran as though to win. Three times he'd fallen stumbling, three times he'd rose again. Too far behind to hope to win, he still ran to the end. They cheered the winning runner as he crossed first place. Head high and proud and happy; no falling, no disgrace. But when the fallen youngster crossed the line, last place, The crowd gave him the greater cheer for finishing the race. And even though he came in last, with head bowed low, unproud; You would have thought he'd won the race, to listen to the crowd. And to his Dad he sadly said, "I didn't do so well." "To me you won," his father said, "you rose each time you fell." And when things seemed dark and hard and difficult to face, The memory of that little boy-helps me in my race. For all of life is like that race, with ups and downs and all. And all you have to do to win-is rise each time you fall. "Quit!" "Give Up, You're Beaten!." They still shout in my face. But another voice within me says, "Get up and win the race!" | The Race by Dee Groberg

President Gordon B. Hinckley's Testimony in the Sacred Grove This is the Sacred Grove this hallowed ground is reverenced by Latter-day saints throughout the world. Here is where it all began. The miracle of this great work which has spread over the Earth. This is the scene of the first vision, it was here, that God the Eternal Father, appeared with his beloved Son Jesus Christ, the resurrected Lord. The father pointing to his son said," this is my beloved son, hear him". Do you realize the import of that declaration? Here was God the Eternal Father, The Almighty, bearing testimony in words plainly spoken. No more important or compelling testimony has been given of the risen lord than this testimony of his own father. The curtains that have been closed for centuries were now parted, a new and glorious gospel dispensation was opened introducing yet other marvelous revelations. Another testament of Jesus Christ was brought forth to speak as a voice from the | 15th Prophet from 1995-2008 | dust, the Holy priesthood originally bestowed by the master on his living apostles was restored upon living men by these same apostles now resurrected. There followed a veritable cloud of witnesses with keys and powers to complete the restoration of the church established by Jesus when he walked the Earth now to be known as the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Here in this very place the long night of apostasy blossomed into the glorious dawn of a new age, God himself was both seen and heard. Here where we stand in the quiet of these trees, in this most sacred of places, the nature of deity was again revealed. The uncluttered and receptive mind of a boy became the instrument of the revelation here given and of many more yet to follow. Standing as the 15th in line from Joseph Smith and bearing the prophetic mantel, which came upon him, I solemnly declare my testimony that the Prophet Joseph's account of these events is true. That the Father here bore witness of the divinity of his son, that the son instructed the boy prophet, and that there followed a chain of events which lead to the organization of the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth. With which he declared," I the Lord am well pleased". On the reality and the personality of the living god and of his son our redeemer I stand as a solemn and reverent witness speaking these words by the power of the holy ghost in the sacred name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

I know without question, my brothers and sisters, that God lives. I testify to you that this is His work. I testify as well that our Savior, Jesus Christ is at the head of this Church, which bears His name. I know that the sweetest experience in all this life is to feel His promptings as He directs us in the furtherance of His work. I testify that each one of us can feel the Lord's inspiration as we live worthily and to strive to serve Him. I have the sure knowledge that God directs His prophet. Throughout the journey along the pathway of life, there are casualties. Some depart from the road markers which point toward life eternal only to discover the detour chosen ultimately leads to a dead end. Indifference, carelessness, selfishness, and sin all take their costly toll in human lives. | President Thomas S. Monson First Testimony as Prophet | In the private sanctuary of one's own conscience lies that spirit, that determination to cast off the old person and to measure up to the stature of true potential. Take literally the Lord's invitation, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light." (Matthew 11:28-30) It was said of the Savior that He "went about doing good...for God was with him."(Acts 10:38) May we follow that perfect example. In this sometimes precarious journey through mortality, may we also follow that advice from the Apostle Paul which will help to keep us safe and on course: "Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." (Philippians 4:8) The world can at times be a frightening place in which to live. The moral fabric of society seems to be unraveling at an alarming speed. None-whether young or old or in-between-is exempt from exposure to those things which have the potential to drag us down and destroy us. Our youth, our precious youth, in particular, face temptations we can scarcely comprehend. The adversary and his hosts seem to be working nonstop to cause our downfall. We are waging a war with sin, my brothers and sisters, but we need not despair. It is a war we can and will win. Our Father in Heaven has given us the tools we need in order to do so. He is at the helm. We have nothing to fear. He is the God of light. He is the God of hope. I testify that He loves us-each one. Mortality is a period of testing, a time to prove ourselves worthy to return to the presence of our Heavenly Father. In order to be tested, we must sometimes face challenges and difficulties. At times there appears to be no light at the tunnel's end-no dawn to break the night's darkness. We feel surrounded by the pain of broken hearts, the disappointment of shattered dreams, and the despair of vanished hopes. We join in uttering the biblical plea "Is there no balm in Gilead?" (Jeremiah 8:22) We are inclined to view our own personal misfortunes through the distorted prism of pessimism. We feel abandoned, heartbroken, alone. If you find yourself in such a situation, I plead with you to turn to your Heavenly Father in faith. He will lift you and guide you. He will not always take your afflictions from you, but He will comfort and lead you with love through whatever storm you face. With all my heart and the fervency of my soul, I lift my voice in testimony as a special witness and declare that God does live. Jesus is His Son, the only begotten of the Father in the flesh. He is our Redeemer; He is our Mediator with the Father. He loves us with a love we cannot fully comprehend, and because He loves us, He gave His life for us. My gratitude to Him is beyond expression. I pledge my life, my strength-all that I have to offer-in serving Him and in directing the affairs of His church in accordance with His will and by His inspiration, and I do so in His holy name-even the Lord Jesus Christ- Amen | 16th Prophet February 4, 2008

I am a child of God and he has sent me here has given me an earthly home with parents kind and dear lead me guide me walk beside me help me find the way teach me all that I must do to live with him someday I am a child of God and he has sent me here has given me an earthly home with parents kind and dear lead me guide me walk beside me help me find the way teach me all that I must do to live with him someday | Cayton, "When we were baptized we took upon us not only the name of Christ but also the law of obedience...each week in sacrament meeting we promise to remember the atoning sacrifice as we renew our baptismal covenant. We promise to do as the Savior did-to be obedient to the Father and always keep his commandments. The blessing we receive in return is to always have his Spirit to be with us...The gift of the Holy Ghost, given to us when we are confirmed, gives us the ability to discern the difference between the giving ways of the kingdom of God and the taking practices of the world. The Holy Ghost gives us the strength and courage to conduct our lives in the ways of the kingdom of God and is the source of our testimony of the Father and the Son. As we obey the will of our Father in Heaven, this priceless gift of the Holy Ghost will be with us continually. By choosing to be in His Kingdom, we separate-not isolate-ourselves from the world. Our dress will be modest, our thoughts pure, our language clean. The movies and television we watch, the music we listen to, the books, magazines, and newspapers we read will be uplifting. We will choose friends who encourage our eternal goals, and we will treat others with kindness. We will shun the voices of immortality, gambling, tobacco, liquor, and illicit drugs. Our Sunday activities will reflect the commandment of God to remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. We will follow the example of Jesus Christ in the way we treat others. We will live worthy to enter the house of the Lord. Our Baptism and confirmation is the gateway into His kingdom. When we enter, we covenant to be of His kingdom-forever!" (Robert D. Hales. "The Covenant of Baptism: To Be in the Kingdom and of the Kingdom". Ensign, Nov. 2000, 6-9)
