FC: April 2011
Noah raised Painted Lady butterflies from larvae for school. They fed on fresh oranges. Once it was warm out he set them free.
Jacob makes a great AT shuttle. Sterling's all matchy -matchy in her dress with a cowboy boot on it and her real cowboy boots that used to be Mommy's. All of the kids have worn them now. Love seeing the kids piled up on each other and enjoying it.
 Love those dimples!
 Happy 4th Birthday Isaac!
Wow! Isaac is 4! He is just a delight and lives up to his name's meaning, "Laughter," every day. He has one of the best and most contagious laughs ever. He made his cake easy on Mommy this year. For a long time he wanted a blue dump truck, then a green tractor, but he decided on blue cupcakes with chocolate frosting with blue stars on them. Mommy swirled the batter and found some star shaped cupcake holders I'd forgotten about - perfect. Mykenzie made royal icing blue stars. Of course a few had vanilla frosting so Daddy could celebrate with us, too. If Daddy's not in a rush to get to work, we've started doing presents in the morning so the kids have all day to enjoy them.
"Blossom by blossom the spring begins" | Isaac was blessed with a new Cars shirt, construction eating utensils, swords and knives, nutella, a puzzle of himself on a tractor and more. He chose lunch and it was very colorful. It was purple mashed potatoes, broccoli, green beans, fruit cocktail, and ritz crackers.
It's a beautiful day, don't let it get away.
Isaac spent part of his birthday being Dash and Mr. Incredible and pretending to fly. What a great way to spend a day.
It was a great day. Isaac loved his choice in birthday cake. He was creative with his candles and chose a number 3 plus one long blue candle to make 4.
Our family outing for Isaac's birthday was to Coco Key, an indoor water park. Daddy had never been there with us and even Grandma Dorothy came along. Sterling LOVED the beginner slides. She probably slid more times than the rest of us all together! Isaac and Noah did a great job of walking her around to the top again and again. So many smiles!!
Lunchtime! | Sterling really gets into Mommy's homemade spaghetti sauce.
It's finally time to build our garden beds. Daddy has lots of helpers. It's good to work together.
 it's always spring in a mother's heart
We enjoyed a beautiful spring day at the zoo. Even the bears were relaxin'. The three little ones enjoyed a bubble machine dance party on the back patio.
Mommy got her belated Valentine's Day gift from Daddy - a pasta maker. On our first try it got a little stuck and needed a little help. My pasta makers were quick to help. | Fresh whole wheat pasta. So Yummy!
Mykenzie finally got her wish and started sharing her double bed with Sterling at night. I only wish I'd gotten a picture on the night they were cuddled towards each other.
Apparently the only thing better than Mommy's spaghetti sauce is having it over fresh homemade pasta!
When you have kid's that play crazy and goofy like Isaac's doing here ... | you can end up with crashes that result in multi-color foreheads. Ouch!
A Smile As Sweet As Spring | Sterling loves showers and baths, but she especially loves showers with her sister. She loves being a big girl. | Here, Sterling is wearing summer jammies that used to be Mommy's; Grandma Dorothy loves seeing them being used again.
Mykenzie's final cake for her class was gorgeous and it tasted amazing. It was vanilla cake with a peach cream filling and fondant decorations. Way to go; we're so proud of you.
 Some of Mykenzie's sugar
work from cake class. Most of it is made from pastillage.
Sterling's first time to decorate Easter eggs.
"be like the flower, turn your face to the sun." - Kahlil Gibran | It's a beautiful day, don't let it get away.
Blessed Easter! We celebrate because we have a risen Savior.
 Simply enjoying the outdoors.
Sterling tries her new fingerpaints, relaxes on the kitchen floor, gets lots of love from Isaac, and practices being a gun slinger. Noah builds a city. | Isaac uses ear protection while helping with the mixer. Jacob and Noah with the first butterfly caught this year. Our new chicken coop!
It's strawberry time!! Mommy got a great deal on flats of yummy strawberries so we ate a bunch, but are prepping a bunch for freezing. Lots will go in whole, but some are getting sliced and packed. | Shame on me for thinking Sterling was too little to help. She mastered the slicer and was a super hard worker and a true help!
Our beautiful strawberry princess really enjoyed the fruits of her labor!
They got pictures with New Hope's director Pam Glenn, who was shocked and delighted by their total and with Mr. Woeste who's been raising money for them for years and is usually in the top 3. He was thrilled to be beaten by the next generation. He encouraged the kids to keep living in a way that makes a difference and is selfless and thinks of those who are helpless, like the unborn babies. What a great way to end the month and our school year. | The kids' last day of school was April 30th, the day of the Walk for Life. Noah did it with Mykenzie and Jacob this year. Together they raised $2368 for the New Hope Center; they were this year's top walkers.
