August 13-15 | We took our first Michigan camping trip in our Mazda 6 (a small car). It was comical squeezing everything in! The Groveland Oaks Campground was on Stewart Lake in Holly. We enjoyed the campfire, swimming and water slide. Renting the paddle boat and cruising the lake was our favorite part! You came home with a snail for your fish tank.

You and Morgan always find something fun to do; from canoeing, to jet-skis, riding the 4-wheelers, tubing, taking boat rides, swimming, exploring, playing games, rope swinging or fishing...there's never a dull moment. Our entire family got to join you for Memorial Day and Labor Day 2010. We had a terrific time!!! Especially on Mike and Steph's jet-ski!

 Cut the Cake!
Your 12th Birthday Party was one of the funnest parties I have ever thrown you. We had a "SIlly Band" party. As prizes, your guests earned dozens of Silly Bands and all the games required the use of a SIlly Band in some way. We had Silly Band Ring Tosses, Silly Band Target Shooting, a Silly Band Walk (like a cake walk), and a Spin the Wheel to see what crazy task you must perform to win a silly band, just to name a few. We all laughed for hours!
We continued our tradition of baking Christmas cookies together before Christmas. Great Grandma Josie also got you a special gift; The book "The Night | Before Christmas" which she recorded her own voice reading, so it was like she was reading the Christmas story to both of you on Christmas Eve. It meant a lot to all of us!
 Christmas Day | 2010
 December 29th
We decided to mix it up a bit and went roller-skating with the Palmer's instead of bowling during Christmas Break. On New Year's Eve, you personalized Daddy's birthday cake yourself! Unfortunately, we made the frosting too thin...so it smeared together....but you really did a terrific job, especially for your first time doing it!
We made a calendar for both of your Nana's & Papa's for Christmas. It was a true family effort. We all came up with great ideas and then Dad made it happen with Photoshop. These are a few of our favorites!
