S: Cousin Camp Summer 2011
BC: Cousin Camp 2011 See you next year!
FC: Cousin Camp Summer 2011 July 1-4
T-shirts are made and the fun begins in Waco
Taking two and leaving two. Hoping in another year or two, the twins can come! | And the kiddos are locked and loaded, ready for the road trip to Fort Worth!
Mommy, however, is a bit sad. | July 1st Waco, Texas Christian drove from Austin, Veronica drove from Fort Worth
Super splashing fun at NRH2O! Veronica loved sharing her favorite summer place with Christian. And Christian was a great swimmer, doing back flips and twists and turns. We enjoyed slides, the lazy river, the wave pool and splashatory.
Christian and Veronica ride with Uncle Matt in the new Corvette. Uncle Matt just a tad excited!
On the ride, Veronica says "Dad, want to know what my brain just told me? My brain just told me that this is going to be my car when I'm older." | After his ride, Christian said it "was AWESOME!" | Uncle Matt got two fabulous treasures on the same day! Nephew Christian and a new toy!
Ahhhh...after a long day of driving and swimming, Veronica and Christian settle down for a screening of "Tangled", complete with brownies and ice cream! | Alas, the day was too long and we only made it through half the movie. Upon trying to settle down for bed, | Christian informed us that he did NOT want to sleep in a room with pink in it ("It's a dirty color. I HATE pink!"). And Aunt Dorothy poked Veronica's eye out trying to cover her with her blanket. I think we were all tired.
Semi-rested, the first morning Christian and Veronica make bounce houses for the stuffed animals and entertain themselves by rough-housing and acting generally very silly.
Fort Worth Museum of Science & History
From dinosaurs to trains, Nicolas, Veronica and Christian had a great time at the museum!
The water feature was fun for everyone! Designing, squirting, and getting drenched!
Christian built a plane and the kids learn about spinning, tops, and gyroscopes.
Left: Giant lite brite where Christian and Veronica worked really hard to design a cat, waiting for our 4-D movie (with dinosaur spit!), digging for dino bones. Right: Transportation tube to get to and from the front and back of an old bomber plane. And the strategically placed dino slide.
Veronica and Christian work to drill into the Barnett Shale. | And dear, sweet Nicolas must purchase a woolly mammoth.
An | Cousin Camp care package arrives! Lots of goodies...squirt guns, CANDY, poppers and lots more!
 Fun in the backyard!
 Splashing and squirting
Sand Art! Of course there's sand art at summer camp!
Did we have dinosaurs for sand art bottles? Why yes, yes we did!
"Fireworks on a peaceful night," says Veronica.
Fireworks ban in Austin prompted us to find fireworks for Christian.
Christian says George Washington "was an awesome man!"
 Family, Fun, Food and Fireworks
Spencer AC, sponsor of Irving festivities!
There's a whole lot of party going on | Family, Fun, Food and Fireworks
 Amazing Fun on the Fourth
 Parade floats
Veronica teaching Christian the finer points of parades: "Stand and cheer wildly and you will get candy!"
Amazing Fun on the Fourth | As you can see from the full bags, they definitely got the cheering down pat.
At Founder's Plaza, an observation park at the end of one of the runways at DFW Airport. Live tower radio is broadcast over speakers as planes are taking off and landing. Very cool! Though the kids mostly enjoyed "flying" around.
Above: Uncle Matt, Christian and Veronica and their best airplane! Below: Waiting for dinner and a movie-Cars 2!
Only the best accommodations here at Cousin Camp. Beds? Bathrooms? Who needs those?
