1: Dear Expectant Mother, We appreciate your willingness to learn more about our family. We have been married for almost 13 wonderful years, and have been together for over 18 years. This will be our first child. Adoption was our first choice to grow our family, and we are certainly blessed that the Lord has given us the possibility for your child to become part of our lives. “Every good and perfect gift is from above.†James 1:17 Brandon owns his own business caring for the elderly, and Kindra is a pediatric nurse. Additionally, we are active in our church, Brandon as a deacon and Kindra as the Director of Children’s ministries. Because we are blessed with flexibility in our professional lives, we have the wonderful opportunity to be home each day, and look forward to time playing on the floor or snuggling for a nap with our child. We have been working hard to make our home comfortable and welcoming for our first child. His/her room is within our room, so we are only a few steps away at all times. His/her bed is warm and soft, and he/she is surrounded with toys and books that will help him/her learn and grow. His/Her medical care and education are very important to us, and we will do our best to help him/her grow into a healthy, well-educated young man or woman who follows his/her dreams and loves and serves the Lord. Our prayer for your child: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.†Deuteronomy 6:5 We are inspired to make his/her heritage a daily part of their life, surrounding him/her with photographs, gifts, and stories from his/her birth family, and we would be honored to share his/her life with you through pictures and stories, as well. May he/she always be proud of her culture and her birth-right, and may his/her life story be a witness to the love and grace of our Lord. “For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved†Acts 2:21 “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations!†Matthew 28:19 Our family and our church are so excited to meet our child and become a part of his/her life. Her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many others cannot wait to shower him/her with hugs and kisses, love and guidance. We have so many people in our lives that are anxiously awaiting his/her arrival- he/she will be blessed with so much love! We will celebrate the Lord together with our church family each week, and will celebrate events like Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and birthdays together with food, family, friends, and fun. We will spend summers enjoying the sun, the pool, and the lake, and warm cozy winters cuddled up inside as a family. He/She will have the opportunity to travel and see the world, and discover the great adventures life has to offer. Family is one of God’s greatest gifts, and we are so blessed that you would consider allowing your child to become a part of ours. "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in My name, there am I with them." Matthew 18:19-20 He/She will be showered with love and care, be kept safe, obtain the best possible education, will be encouraged to follow his/her dreams, and above all will know that he/she is loved by his/her Heavenly Father. It is our prayer that you may know you are loved, as well, and your sacrifice will never be forgotten. May you know that with our God, nothing will be impossible for you. Your immeasurable sacrifice will be used by our Heavenly Father as our greatest gift. We are praying for you and your child, and will continue each day. Your love for him/her will always be something that we emphasize, and something that we will never forget. It is an amazing blessing which we would be honored to have received. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.†John 3:16 “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20 May God Bless You and Keep You- Brandon and Kindra York
