1: Clarence James Mullen Dec. 16, 1917 - May 23, 1978 | Ruth Rutledge May 26, 1924 - April 18, 2010

2: Great Grandparents | Harold Silas Rutledge married Margaret Annie Major Feb. 12, 1907 (left - wedding picture, right - 50th Anniversary)

3: Baptismal Certificate of Silas Harold born May 7, 1889. He was born in the county of Pontiac, Que. of the lawful marriage of Joseph John Routledge, a farmer & Elizabeth (Lizzie) Sullivan of North Onslow. Harold Silas as we knew him had 2 brothers Percy & Earl.

4: Harold Silas with brother Dr. Earl Rutledge & wife Ada. Picture on the right is their mother Elizabeth (Lizzie) Sullivan who died at age 32 in Regina, Sask.

6: Margaret Annie was born to Thomas & Isabelle Major at Shawville, Que. on Sept. 18, 1889. She had 6 sisters & 1 brother. Her mom was 82 at the time of her death. Margaret Annie died May 11, 1960.

9: On the left is Jean (Ruth's sister) Robert Harold known as Patty died at 10 mths old in 1918 before Ruth was born & brother Earl. Below is brother John & sister Isabel Hope.

14: Clarence James born Dec. 16, 1917 born to a family of 8 in Section 26 TP 10 Range 16 Yellowgrass, Sask. . Our grandfather James Mullen - Clarence's father was the only boy to live & have children. He died young, Clarence being the oldest was left to raise & support his younger siblings. (On the left baby Clarence & mother Mabel)

15: James Mullen & Margaret Soanes married Dec. 6, 1916. James died on Feb.12, 1936. Mabel Soanes Jan.16, 1891 - March 2, 1981.

16: Clarence's sister Maxine & Ernie Urschel's Wedding. Brothers Donald & Gerald, Sister-in-law Isabel, Sisters Eileen & Eleanor (Missing from photo sister Margaret Kurtz & brother Gilbert who was killed in the Dieppe Raid in 1943. )

19: Grandfather & Grandmother to Clarence. James Mullen & Mary Jane had 8 children. Immigrated from County Antrim in Ireland to Allenwood, Ont. James wore a straggly black beard & had Masonic lodge tattoos on his arms. James was murdered & Mary Jane married a wealthy prominent man & her daughter married his son. James was buried in Allenwood Methodist Cemetery in Flos County Ontario. | Mullen Family History
