FC: Fisher Family 2011
2011 started with a bang. The Fisher's headed West for a Rose Bowl and Disney trip. The year didn't slow down from there. Put yer feet up and enjoy the highlight reel!!!
There is no better way to start the New Year than going to the Rose Bowl. Ben and Evette traveled to Southern California to see the TCU Horned Frogs square up against the Wisconsin Badgers. It was a nail biter 'til the end but the Frogs came away with a win. Rah Rah TCU!!! And where do you go when your team wins the Rose Bowl? Disneyland!!!
These sisters fight like crazy, goof off 'til they are out of breath from laughing and they love and defend each other like no other pair we've seen before. They had lots of fun this year on Valentine's Day making crafts, baking and giving lots of hugs!
 Easter 2011
Mother's Day 2011 The girls and Ben took Evette to Daniel's Gate park for a picnic and our first attempt at geocaching. To cool off, we went for gelato and we all loved it!
Charlotte turned 3 this year.! She chose an Earthworm cake and we had a game of pin the cottontail on the bunny. The present she got most excited about was a bag of Funyuns. A good reminder that for 3 years old its always good to keep things simple.!
For Charlotte's birthday, we were having new floors put down so we escaped to the mountains with Nana. We enjoyed the park, alpine sliding, the jacuzzi and all the wildflowers.
Grace turned 5 this year!!! For the first time in 8 Fisher kid birthdays, Ben and Evette decided it was time for a party. Grace celebrated with friends at our recreation center and had a gymnastics party with a Candyland theme.
This year was very exciting for the girls during Halloween. They each chose their own costumes. Grace went as "Creopatra" and Charlotte dressed as "Stwa-berry Horecake."
The Fisher's decided to go to Texas for a vacation to see family and friends. We were gone 7 nights, visited 4 cities and had 5 sleeping venues. We were blessed with a great time on this adventure! | Our first stop was in Arlington to play with The Hunyh's. We enjoyed visiting with them and the girls had fun meeting their kids. Nancy was nice enough to take our family pictures while we were there. Our second stop was to visit Grandpa and Grandma Knapp at Pecan Plantation. Always a relaxing and peaceful time!
Our next stop was to Abilene to visit with Grandma Fisher, Aunt Erin and all the cousins. Unfortunately we didn't get a lot of family pictures because our phones were dead. We got to go to the Grace Children's Museum and the Fall Festival at Brookhollow Church. The girls were pretty worn out by the time we headed back to Dallas. | Our final stop was back to Dallas. We got to visit with our friends the Hudson's and the Chaisson's. The girls got to play with the Chaisson twins while all the parents got to go to Cowboys Stadium to see TCU square up against BYU. Lots of fun had by everyone!
Introducing the first Fisher Family portraits!!! Our friend Nancy took these and we thought she did an amazing job keeping everyone happy and getting some good moments of our family.!
Evette is still enjoying her cake decorating. She decided to take a basic cake decorating class this year so she could learn how to frost. Here are some of the fun cakes she got to make this year...including venturing into wedding cakes!
November 17, 2001, Ben and Evette were married at the TCU Chapel in Texas. | For their 10 year anniversary, they went to Estes Park, stayed at the Historic Stanley Hotel and visited Rocky Mountain National Park. They had a great time!
The Fisher's have enjoyed this holiday season more than ever. We built a robot snowman, spun dreidls, baked cookies, built a gingerbread house, looked at lights, watched holiday movies, visited with Santa and had daily visits from Fred the Elf. Life is good with these little girls! Merry Christmas!!
