FC: Dwayne Dolan Henry | Happy Fortieth Birthday!!
1: On July 8, 1970, four months after the death of your grandfather, I was so very proud to give you his name. Today you are forty years old and I am equally as proud of the man you have become. 36: Dwayne, Man, we have some awesome memories, don't we? Pictures don't do justice. The horseback rides, the trampoline, Gumby, the California Rasins, and giving me a foundation of quality music--these things always remind me of you. Even though we're not kids anymore and the adult-life (along with several hundred miles) have kept us from
37: keeping in touch as well, know that I appreciate you more than words can say You've played such a huge role in my life and I'm so lucky to have a brother like you...I mean that from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for everything. I hope this next year brings so many beautiful surprises for you. You are so loved , Staci
41: Dwayne, You've always been a role model in my life. I looked up to you with pride while you were away in the military and looked forward to your loving letters in the mail! I looked for you any time I needed a good leg to fuzz. As I got older, your impressive musical abilities always inspired me to excel musically myself. Despite the hundreds of miles separating us, our annual visits were always fun-filled, whether you took us to the zoo or out to play tennis. You're the best big brother a girl could ask for, and I hope you have a very blessed birthday. You really deserve it! Thank you for being the wonderful brother you are! I love you! Megan
46: Dwayne, From the day I was born you were my teacher. You taught me to love and you taught me to play. You taught me to climb trees and how to walk to school. You taught me how to be safe and how to follow the rules. I may not have always listened but I always respected your
47: words and I ALWAYS HAD FUN!!! Today you continue to teach me--to continue on in school despite the balancing act of work and family. You fostered in me the desire to do work that matters. Thank you for being my teacher! I love you, Lisa
55: Dear Dwayne, We started our journey together twenty-three years ago (October 1987), and it seems only yesterday that we shared that bus ride from New Braunfels to San Antonio. So much of who I am today is made up of the many remarkable recollections, trying times, and lessons learned with you since that magical day. Although, we are embracing a new path filled with different exciting experiences (and even rocky terrain), I feel like, now in your fortieth year, we are riding to the destination we were meant for. No matter what the future brings, my love for you will remain unchanged.
56: Unconditional Love (Elizabethan sonnet senior English class 1990) A true companion loves without restrain, This unconditional friendship I've found. Through life's narrow way we trod, sun or rain, Like budding trees grow high above the ground. My dear, he is a dream at last revived. I wake knowing he's near to share my thoughts. Yet Time our Cherished love awhile divides, To somehow test our heart-sincere or not.
57: My Soul, shall thou be faint when love departs? Be still and long for Fellowship's return While grows maturity upon the heart Lighting a flame that will forever burn. Though miles part us, our precious time stands still. I know love binds according to God's (the Universe's) will. Yours always and don't forget, m (a.k.a. bd, kk)
59: Wishing you many happy memories on this fortieth birthday! | With Love, Michelle, Mom, Lisa, Joy, Staci and Megan
