1: "Baking is one of my greatest joys in life. These recipes are some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do."

2: Cheese Ball 2 8oz packages cream cheese 2 Tablespoons minced onion 1/4 cup mayonnaise 2 cups chopped ham 1/4 tsp dry mustard 1/2 cup chopped chives Mix together and form into ball. Roll with chopped nuts if desired. Refrigerate 30 min. | Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts | Skylar's Finger Jello 3 small boxes jello (9 oz) 4 envelopes unflavored jello 4 cups boiling water Mix together well & put in a 13x9 pan. Chill until set. | 1 can water chestnuts, halved 1/2 pound sliced bacon, cut in half 2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar 1/3 cup ketchup Wrap bacon slices around water chestnuts. Mix together remaining ingredients and pour over wrapped chestnuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.

3: Smoked Turkey Roll-ups 4 oz low fat cream cheese 4 green onions, chopped 1/2 cup cucumber, seeded and chopped 1/2 tsp dill weed 4 flour tortillas 4 oz smoked turkey Combine cream cheese, onions, cucumber, and dill weed. Spread each tortilla with 1/4 of the mixture. Top with some smoked turkey and roll up. Slice into pinwheels | Ham and Pickle Rolls 8 thick slices of ham 4 oz cream cheese Jar mini pickles Spread cream cheese on ham slices. Top with mini pickles. Roll up and slice. | Aunt Debbie's Veggie Bars | 2 packages crescent rolls 8oz cream cheese 8oz sour cream Press crescent rolls into bottom of pan. Bake at 350 degrees until golden. Combine cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch mix. Spread over cooled crescent rolls. Top with veggies. | 1 pkg dry ranch mix chopped veggies

4: 1lb cooked spaghetti 1/2 lb pepperoni 1/2 cup celery 1 green pepper, chopped 1 onion, diced 1 can black olives Dressing: 3 Tbsp sugar 1/4 cup white vinegar 3//4 cup oil 1 Tbsp oregano, pepper, and salt Mix and refrigerate 24 hrs | Italian Pasta Salad | Pasta Salad | Patio Tuna Salad 3 pints salad greens 2 medium size tomatoes, diced 1 cucumber 1 7oz can tuna, drained 1 medium avocado, diced Dressing: 1/4 cup salad oil 1 1/2 Tbsp wine vinegar 2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper 1 tsp grated onion | Mix all ingredients together, toss with dressing. | 1 box macaroni, cooked and cooled 1/2 cup celery 1/2 cup onion, chopped finely 1/3 cup chopped radishes 5 hard boiled eggs, chopped 1 can tuna fish, drained mayonnaise to taste catalina dressing to taste Combine all ingredients and chill 2 hours.

5: Christine's Broccoli Salad 1 lg head of broccoli 1/2 lb crumbled bacon 2 Tbsp cider vinegar 1 cup sunflower seeds 1/2 cup mushrooms Mix mayo, sugar, and vinegar together. Mix into large bowl with remaining ingredients. Chill 2 hours. | 1 cup mayo 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 onion 1 cup raisins | Cabbage Slaw 4-5 lbs cabbage 2 green pepper, chopped 2 med onions, chopped 1 cup pimentos, diced | 1 Large head lettuce, chopped 1/4 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped 1/2 cup celery, chopped 1 cup fresh peas 6 hard boiled eggs, chopped 1 1/2 cup mayonnaise 2 Tbsp sugar, mixed with mayo 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Bacon bits to top. | Layered Salad | Layer all ingredients in trifle. Refrigerate overnight. | Dressing: 1 pt white vinegar 2 1/2 cups sugar 1 tsp celery seed 1 1/2 tsp mustard seed 1/2 tsp tumeric powder 1 1/2 tsp salt | Mix dressing and bring to boil. Pour over vegetables and let cool. Refrigerate 24 hours. Put in a jar and store in the fridge.

6: Pineapple Salad 1st layer: 2 small pkgs lime jello 2 cups hot water 2 cups cold water 1 can crushed pineapple 1/2 cup nuts 2nd layer: 8oz cream cheese 1 large pkg cool whip 3rd Layer: 1 cup pineapple juice 4 Tbsp flour 3 egg yolks 3/4 cup sugar Add 3 beaten egg whites to cooled cooked mixture. put on top of second layer. Cover with coconut. Refrigerate until ready to serve. | Dissolve Jello and mix together. Let set in 13x9 pan. | Beat until smooth. | Cook til thick, stirring constantly. | Bean Salad 1 can wax beans 1 can green beans 1 can red beans 1 cup celery, chopped 1/2 cup green pepper Mix Well. | 1/2 cup onion Salt & Pepper 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup vinegar 1/2 cup salad oil | Krunchy Cabbage Salad 1 pkg ramen noodle mix 1/2 head cabbage, chopped 1/4 cup green onion 1/2 cup sliced almonds 2 tsp sunflower seeds 2 tsp sesame seeds | Dressing: ramen seasoning 3 Tbsp sugar 3 Tbsp vinegar add 1/2 cup salad oil slowly. | Brown sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, and almonds. Let cool. Combine all ingredients and toss with dressing. Serve immediately.

7: Strawberry Ambrosia Salad 1 pkg strawberry jello 1 pkg raspberry jello 2 cups boiling water 1 cup strawberries, cut Dissolve jello in boiling water. Place strawberries in jello. Stir in cold water and crushed pineapple. Chill until consistency of unbeaten egg whites. Add coconut and milk. Mix well and chill 4 hours. | 1/4 cup cold water 1 cup crushed pineapple 1/3 cup coconut 2/3 cup carnation milk | Ambrosia Salad 1 cup mandarin oranges 1 cup pineapple tidbits 1 cup coconut 1 cup mini marshmallows 1 cup whipped cream Combine all ingredients and chill. | Cranberry Fluff 2 cups raw cranberries, ground 3 cups mini marshmallows 3/4 cup sugar 2 cups diced tart apples 1/2 cup green grapes, halved 1/2 cup broken walnuts 1/4 tsp salt 1 pkg whipped cream Combine cranberries, marshmallows, and sugar. Cover and chill overnight. Add apples, grapes, walnuts, and salt. Fold in whipped cream. Chill.

8: Refrigerator Rolls 1/2 cup sugar 2 cups warm water 1 1/2 tsp salt 2 pkg dry yeast Mix well. Place in refrigerator overnight. Remove 2 hours before baking. Shape into balls (3 per muffin tin). Let rise 1 1/2-2 hours. Brush with melted butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes. | 1 egg 1/4 cup soft shortening 6 1/2-7 cups flour | Zucchini Bread Mix: 3 eggs 1 cup oil 1 3/4 cup sugar 2 tsp vanilla 2 cups shredded zucchini Pour batter into greased pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 min. Cool for 10 min. Remove from pan and cool on wire racks. | Add: 3 cups flour 1 tsp bading soda 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder 3 tsp cinnamon | Monkey Bread 3 cans lg home-style biscuits 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 stick butter cinnamon sugar Quarter the biscuits. Coat the biscuit pieces with sugar, then with cinnamon. Place biscuit pieces in greased bundt pan. Heat butter, add brown sugar. Pour into the bundt pan evenly. Bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

9: Amish Friendship Bread | Starter: 1 pkg dry yeast 1/4 cup warm water 1 cup all purpose flour 1 cup white sugar 1 cup warm milk Dissolve yeast in water. Let sit for 10 minutes. In bowl, combine sugar and flour. Mix thoroughly. Slowly stir in milk and yeast mixture. Transfer all to a ziplock bag. Follow directions for Friendship Bread. | Directions: Day 1: Do nothing Day 2, 3, 4, 5: Mush bag 1-2 times per day Day 6: Add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk. Mush. Day 7, 8 ,9: Mush bag and let air out twice daily. Day 10: Add 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk. Stir and pour four 1 cup starters in ziplock bag. Keep one starter for yourself, and give 3 to other friends. Combine the remaining cup of Amish Friendship Bread starter with the following ingredients in a large bowl: | 1 cup sugar 2 cups flour 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda | 2/3 cup oil 3 eggs 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon | Pour batter into two greased pans and bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes, remove from pan.

10: Pumpkin Loaves Apple-cinnamon muffin mix 3/4 canned pumpkin In mixing bowl, combine 3/4 cup pumpkin, 1/3 cup water, 1 egg, and 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice. Add 14oz pkg muffin mix and 1/2 cup raisins (opt.) Bake at 350 degrees for 35-50 min (depending on loaf size) | Apple Kuchen | Dough: 1 pkg yeast 1/4 cup warm water 3/4 cup scalded milk 1/4 cup butter 1/4 cup sugar 1 tsp salt 2 eggs slightly beaten 2 3/4 cup flour 2 Tbsp melted butter | Filling: 5 cooking apples 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon 2 Tbsp raisins | Dissolve yeast in water. Scald milk, add butter, sugar, and salt. Stir until butter melts. Stir in yeast and eggs. Beat in 1 1/2 cup of the flour. Cover and let rise until double the size (40 min). Stir in enough of remaining flour to make it easy to handle. Cover and chill 1/2 hour. Turn out on floured board and knead. Roll out to fit 9x13 pan. Brush with butter. Pare, quarter, core, and slice apples. Press closely together into dough. Combine sugar, cinnamon, and raisins. Sprinkle over apples. Cover and let stand until dough is springy. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min | Cranberry Fruit-Nut Bread 3/4 cup orange juice 2 cups flour 1 cup sugar 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 1/4 cup shortening 1 egg 1/2 cup chopped nuts 1-2 cups ground cranberries | Mix well and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in 9x5x3 pan.

11: Banana Cup Muffins 2 cup flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 cup shortening 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 cup mashed bananas 1 tsp lemon juice 1 12 cup chopped nuts | Mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-17 minutes. | Applesauce Doughnuts 3/4 cup sugar 2 tsp butter 2 eggs 3/4 cup applesauce 4 cups flour | 2 tsp baking pwdr 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp soda 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 cup buttermilk | Roll out. Cut with doughnut cutter. Drop into 375 degree oil and turn over when they rise to surface. Turn again after three minutes. Drain, cool, and dust with cinnamon sugar. | Cream sugar, butter, and eggs. Add applesauce. Add dry ingredients and buttermilk. | Potato Doughnuts 1 1/2 cup mashed potato (warm) 3 eggs, beaten 2 cups sugar 6 Tbsp melted shortening 1 tsp baking powder | 3/4 cup milk 6 cup sifted flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp nutmeg | Mix together. Chill 1 hour. Fry in oil 2 1/2 minutes per side

12: Baked Beef Stew 1 can diced tomatoes, undrained 1 cup water 3 Tbsp quick cooking tapioca 2 tsp sugar 1 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 2 lb lean stew meat cut in 1 inch cubes 4 medium carrots, cut 3 medium potatoes, peeled and diced 2 celery ribs, cut 1 slice bread Combine tomatoes, water, tapioca, sugar, salt, and pepper. Add remaining ingredients, mix well. Pour in greased 13x9 pan. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 1 3/4 hours-2 hours or until tender. | Sauerkraut Soup 4 cups chicken broth 1 10oz can cream of mushroom 1 16oz jar sauerkraut, drained 8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced 1 medium potato, diced 2 carrots, diced 1 onion, diced 2 stalks celery, chopped 3/4 lb polish sausage, cubed 2 teaspoons dried dillweed 1/2 teaspoon pepper Stir all ingredients together. Cover and cook on low 8 to 12 hours.

13: Grandpa's Chili 2 lbs ground beef (cooked) 2 tsp salt 4 Tbsp chili powder 2 tsp paprika 2 Tbsp crushed red pepper 1 1/8 tsp black pepper 1 can kidney beans | 2 tsp ground cumin 1 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic 3 12-oz cans tomato paste 1 8oz can beef broth 1 12oz can diced tomatoes 4 Tbsp cornstarch (add 30 min before serving) | Combine all ingredients in a crock pot. Cook all day. | Cabbage and Baked Bean Soup 1 Tbsp olive oil 1 med yellow onion, diced 2 baking potatoes, diced 6 cups shredded cabbage Heat oil. Add onions, caramelize. Stir in potatoes, cabbage, and broth. Bring to boil. Cover and simmer 15 to 20 min. Add beans, salt, and pepper. Heat through. | 2 10oz cans chicken broth 1 15oz can baked beans 1/2 tsp salt and pepper | Garden Vegetable Soup 2/3 cup sliced carrots 2 garlic cloves, minced 1 1/2 cup cabbage 1 Tbsp tomato paste 1 tsp dried oregano 1/4 tsp salt Saute carrots, onion, and garlic over low heat. Add everything except zucchini. Bring to boil, simmer 15 min. Stir in zucchini and heat 3-4 min. | 1/2 cup diced zucchini 1/2 cup diced onion 3 cups broth 1/2 cup green beans 1/2 tsp dried basil

14: Vegetables | Auntie Val's Baked Beans | Green Bean Casserole | Tawna's Corn Casserole | 1 box Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix 2 eggs 1/2 cup melted butter 1 can corn, drained 1 can creamed corn 1 cup sour cream Swiss Cheese to top. Mix all ingredients together. Bake in a 13x9 pan at 350 for 25 min. Top with swiss cheese and bake additional 20 min. | 2 cans french cut green beans 1 can cream of mushroom soup 2/3 cup cheddar cheese 1/2 cup finely chopped onion 1 cup French's fried onions Combine all ingredients except fried onions. Place in 9x13 pan and bake for 25 min at 350 degrees. Top with fried onions and bake additional 5 min. | 1-2 jars great northern beans (light in color) Barbecue Sauce to taste Brown Sugar to taste Bacon or Bacon pieces Combine all ingredients and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2- 2 hours.

15: Cheesy Potatoes | Tawna's Sweet Potato Casserole | Thanksgiving Stuffing | 2 pounds shredded potatoes 16 oz sour cream 1 can cream of chicken soup 1/2 cup melted butter 1/2 cup finely chopped onion (optional) 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese Mix all ingredients together, reserving 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Place in 13x9 pan and top with remaining cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hr. | 4 quarts of day old bread,dried out and lightly toasted (1 1/2 to 2 loaves of bread) 3 eggs well beaten 1 cup finely chopped celery, or celery flakes 1/2 cup finely chopped onion, or minced onion 1/2 cup melted butter 1 Tbsp salt 1 tsp pepper 1 tsp sage 3 cups of turkey drippings, or canned broth 2 tsp poultry seasoning hot water as needed | Melt butter or margarine on low heat. Sauté celery and onion until tender (not brown). Crumble bread or cut into squares and put in large bowl. Add seasonings,warm butter mixture,well-beaten eggs and broth. Stir well. Dressing should be thin enough to pour into casserole dish. Bake approximately 30 minutes at 350. You can stuff into turkey as well. | 4 1/2 cups mashed sweet potatoes 1/2 cup butter, melted 1 cup light brown sugar 3/4 cup sugar 1 cup chopped pecans In bowl, mix together sweet potatoes, milk, melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar and flour. cut in 1/3 cup butter.Add pecans. Pour sweet potato mix into 9x13 greased pan. Top with pecan mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. | 2 eggs, beaten 1/3 cup milk 1/2 cup flour 1/3 cup butter 1/4 tsp vanilla

16: Breakfast | Pancakes 1 cup sifted flour 1 tsp baking pwdr 1/2 tsp salt 1 Tbsp sugar Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Mix together eggs and milks. Add to flour gradually, beating until smooth. Add butter. Drop cakes onto greased griddle. | Waffles 1 1/2 cup flour 2 tsp baking powder 2 Tbsp sugar 1/4 cup butter (melted) Mix all ingredients except egg whites. Fold in egg whites, stiffly beaten. Pour the batter slowly into the waffle maker. | 2 egg whites 1/2 tsp salt 3/4-1 cup milk | 1 egg well beaten 1/4 cup milk 1/2 cup buttermilk 3 Tbsp melted butter

17: Dinner | Oven Fried Cornflake Chicken | 3 cups cornflakes (crushed in bag) 1 tsp italian seasoning 1/2 tsp thyme or marjoram 2 pounds chicken breasts 1/4 cup butter | Mix flakes and seasoning. Brush melted butter over chicken breasts. Coat in seasoning shaking in a plastic bag. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 min or until done. | 1 pound chicken breasts, diced 2 Tbsp soy sauce 1/4 tsp salt 1tsp sherry 1 Tbsp garlic powder 1 Tbsp corn starch 1/3 tsp pepper 2 medium onions, diced 4 Tbsp oil 2 Tbsp curry powder blended with 4 Tbsp water 2 Tbsp soy sauce 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced 2/3 cup water 1 tsp corn starch blended with 1 Tbsp water (add last) Heat oil in pan or wok. Add chicken and stir fry until color turns (1-2 min). Remove chicken. Add onion and stir for a few seconds. Add curry blend, stir and mix for 1 min. Add rest of the ingredients. Bring to a boil. Add blended cornstarch and cooked chicken. Mix well. | Combine in bowl | Stir Fried Curry Chicken

18: 1 pound ground beef 2/3 cup milk 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs 1/4 cup ketchup 1 tsp salt 2 tsp warcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp pepper Peel and slice 3 medium potatoes, 3 medium onions, and 3 medium carrots. Surround meatloaf with vegetables. Sprinkle with 2 tsp dried parsley and 1 tsp salt and pepper. Bake at 375 for 1 hour covered with foil. Uncover and bake additional 10 min. | Combine all ingredients. With wet hands, shape into loaf in the center of a 13x9 pan. | Pot Roast Meat Loaf | 12 oz ground beef 1 small onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 2 cups water Cook beef, onions, and garlic until browned. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 10 minutes or until cabbage is tender. | 8 cups chopped cabbage 1 cup crushed tomatoes 1 1/2 Tbsp dark brown sugar 1/2 tsp salt and pepper | Unstuffed Cabbage | 2 pounds ground beef 2 eggs, beaten 1 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp garlic pepper 2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce 1 tsp onion powder Mix lightly to make into patties and spread with mustard. Stuff patties with any of the following: onions, cheese, pickles, olives, mushrooms. Seal Well. Grill. | Bonion Burgers | "A watched pot never boils"

19: Filling: 1 1/2 pounds steak, diced 4 medium potatoes, diced 1 small onion, cut fine 1/2 cup diced rutabaga (opt.) Mix ingredients together and season well with salt and pepper. Crust: 2 1/4 cups flour 3/4 cup shortening 1/2 cup water Divide dough into four parts. Roll each piece into the size of a dinner plate. On half the dough, place 1/4 meat-potato mix. Place a piece of butter the size of a walnut on top. Fold unfilled portion, crimp edges. Make 1" slit in top. DO same with remaining crust and mix. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes. Reduce to 375 degrees and bake 40 min more. | Cornish Pasties | 3 pounds beef short ribs 2 Tbsp shortening 1 tsp salt 1/3 tsp pepper 1 1/2 cups water Brown short ribs on all sides in shortening. Pour off drippings. Season with salt and pepper. Add water, bouillon cubes, vinegar, worcestershire sauce, and onions. Cover tightly and cook slowly for 2 hours or until meat is tender. Measure cooking liquid and if necessary add enough water to make 1 1/2 cups. Thicken liquid with flour for gravy. | 2 bouillon cubes 2 Tbsp vinegar 1 tsp worcestershire sauce 2 medium onions, sliced 3 Tbsp flour | Family Style Short Ribs | 1 tsp pepper 1 tsp garlic powder 2/3 cup soy sauce 1 1/2 cups wine Combine all ingredients into crock pot or pan with pot roast. | 1 onion, minced 1 Tbsp vinegar 1 Tbsp sugar | London Broil

20: Bottom Crust: Cut 2 Tbsp butter into 1 cup Bisquick. Stir in 2 Tbsp milk. Pat on bottom of 9x13 pan. Filling: 1/4 cup butter 1/4 cup Bisquick 2 Tbsp onion 1/8 tsp pepper Heat butter in 2 qt pan. melt and stir in Bisquick, onion, and pepper. Add broth and veggies. Heat til boiling and stir 1 min before adding chicken. Pour onto crust. Topping: Combine 1/3 cup Bisquick, 1/3 cup milk, 1 Tbsp butter. Pour over Chicken mixture. | 1 1/4 cup chicken broth 1 cup frozen veggies 1 1/2 cup cooked chicken | Easy Chicken Pot Pie | 1 1/2 pound flank or sirloin steak In large skillet, stir fry: 2 cups green peppers, sliced 1 cup onions, chopped 2 Tbsp veg oil Remove from pan. Add 2 Tbsp of oil and fry steak til pink is gone. To Make Sauce: 1/2 tsp ginger 2 Tbsp cornstarch 4 Tbsp soy sauce 3 Tbsp sherry or brandy Add vegetables and sauce to steak. Cook until liquid is clear. Serve over rice. | Chinese Pepper Steak

21: 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of chicken soup 1/2 stick of butter, melted 2 cups of uncooked rice 2 cups water 1 pound frozen chicken breasts Combine all ingredients except chicken. Spread evenly in a 13x9 dish and top with frozen chicken breasts. Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350 for 90 minutes. | Chicken and Rice | 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed 1 Tbsp butter 1 Tbsp finely chopped onion 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese salt and pepper to taste 5 carrots, chopped and cooked 1 Tbsp vegetable oil 1 onion, chopped 1 pound lean ground beef, browned 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour 1 Tbsp ketchup 3/4 cup beef broth 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese Cook and mash potatoes. Mix in butter, onion, cheese, and season to taste. Add onion to browned ground beef. Set aside the drippings and combine with flour. Cook drippings one minute. Add ketchup and broth. Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes. In a casserole dish, add ground beef mixture, gravy, and carrots. Top with mashed potatoes and remaining cheddar cheese. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes. | Classic Shepherd's Pie

22: Grammy's Cookies | 3 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda 4 eggs 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup peanut butter 1/2 tsp salt Mix together eggs, shortening, sugars, vanilla, and peanut butter. In separate bowl mix soda, salt, and flour. Gradually add to wet dough. Add chips. 40: Double Flaky Pie Crust 3 cups flour 3/4 cup shortening 3/4 cup butter 1 Tbsp vinegar 5 Tbsp water 1 egg Cut shortening and butter into flour until pea-sized pieces appear. Beat one egg. Add vinegar and beat again. Add water and beat again. Fold into flour mixture. Refrigerate 1 hour. Roll-Out. Top with either strudel topping or lattice crust. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Pour into crust and bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Combine sugar, flour, and remaining cinnamon. Cut in butter til crumbly. Stir in walnuts. Sprinkle on top of pie. Bake additional 45 minutes at 350 degrees or until set. Let cool. | Pumpkin Pie

42: Homemade Strawberry Jam | 5 cups mashed strawberries 1 box Sure-Jell fruit pectin 1/2 tsp butter 7 cups sugar Steam wash jars in dishwasher or in a pan of boiling water. Keep lids in boiling water until ready to use. Measure 5 cups of mashed strawberries into large saucepan. Add pectin and butter to reduce foaming. Bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Stir in sugar. Bring to a rolling boil again and boil an additional 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and skim off any foam. Immediately ladle into jars and seal lids properly.
