FC: The landscaping project of 600 Hidden Valley Dr.
The project begins with a new house. | Hidden Valley Drive July, 2002
We started with the deck, we wanted to have our hot tub installed before the snow started to fly. Family helped, Grandpa Bob, son-in-law Eric, and son Ben. | November 2002
We were done with the main enclosure by Thanksgiving.
The next phase started in the spring of 2003. We rented "heavy machinery" and got started making tiers in the back yard.
Our son had a great day moving dirt. | We built the retaining walls with "found" rocks.
Sod, bushes, and a river birch tree came next. We installed a watering system as we planted.
 May, 2003 The work continues....
More shrubs, flowers, wheelbarrows of rock, and other fun stuff (the wheel from Grandpa Jury's farm).....everything gets thrown in together. | The neighbors yards are green, ours is ....... COLORFUL!
The front yard got some work, too. The ugly scarecrow has since been tossed!
The hedge fence posts came from Grandpa's farm, many posts still have hardware attached.
It's been a couple of years since this non-stop project was started. The garden is really growing, including the vegetable garden in raised beds in the north corned of the back yard. Ben has been entertaining our niece, Kilynn, and nephew, Jaden.
Mary, Mary, quite contrary, how does your garden grow? | ...with silver bells and cockle shells, and little maids all in a row.
Summer, 2008 More and more plants added!!!
The back yard is starting to get the "oasis" feel we want.
See the We built a pondless waterfall and set up chairs beside it, our retreat spot.
From | To in 8 years.
