Mom and Dad, Merry Christmas! Thank you for all you have done to make Christmas memorable for me and my family. The traditions you started in our family have carried over into my family and now into our children's families. It was fun for me when Ken and I got married and we had many of the same Christmas traditions. It is fun to see our children implement many of the same traditions in their families. I will never forget those growing up years, waiting for Santa, everyone having to go into the room together to look at what Santa brought, the Christmas when Santa came a little early and we were all in tears. The caroling at the Baugh party, and having to learn how to play "Frosty the Snowman" so I could perform for all the relatives. I remember Grandma Baugh making me the coolest robe with a matching night cap. I remember that white Christmas tree, with the red poinsettias, after Dad returned the purple decorations and that cool light that made the tree change colors. The Christmas's when we packed up our bags a couple of days later and moved to a new house. I loved coming home for Christmas when I was in college, even though there was no snow. And I have loved having you in our home on Christmas whenever it was possible. I am so thankful that I was raised in a home where the gospel was not only taught, but I had such great examples to follow. I always think of Dad sitting in his chair, fully dressed, reading his scriptures when I was leaving for seminary. Mom was always so willing to support Dad in his work and his church callings. Who knows how many people she helped feel more of the Christmas spirit as they had dinner in our home. As time passes, these memories become more and more important. Thank you for being who you are and teaching us the gospel. Thank you for focusing on the "things that matter most" Thank you for helping build the foundation for my testimony. I love my Savior and am so thankful for the atonement in my life. Thank you for providing opportunities for our family to get together and get to know each other. Many of our favorite family memories are in Park City. And now my kids have great relationships with all their cousins. Park City just wasn't the same this past summer without both of you. I love you both !!! Love, Diane

To Mom & Dad Baugh There are scores of memories that bring smiles to my face and good feelings to my heart. Of course Park City always comes to mind but there have been many other good times in Sandy, Logan and other places as well. Rather than try to list a lot of them I thought I would just mentioned the 4 that I tend to look back on the most. They are not the funniest or the most unusual just the ones that I most often reflect upon. 1.The first time I met Boyd was at restaurant in Salt Lake. Diane and I met him there for lunch. I was a little concerned about what he would think of me. I have always known that some people find me to be “different” but I have never really cared. But now I did care because I was in love with Diane and I knew she had great respect for her father. I was not sure what to say or how to act. When I shook Boyd’s hand and looked him in the eye I felt totally at peace. His gentle demeanor, kind eyes, and soft spoken manner made me very comfortable. A couple days later Diane told me she asked her Dad what he thought of me and he told her he did not have any reservations at all about me. 2.During our engagement, I went over to Glenn Baugh’s to pick Diane up one evening. Diane and Boyd came to the door to greet me. After saying Hi to both of them I gave Diane a hug. As I was hugging Diane I opened my eyes and saw Boyd over Diane's shoulder. As he turned to walk into the kitchen he clasp his hands together and rested his chin on them while looking up. It looked like he was motioning “thank you god”. I remember thinking “Wow he is almost as excited about this as I am.” 3.When Diane got her gall bladder removed she was down in bed for several days and her Mom came to stay with us to help out. We had two babies and I was working full time. I thought this was an extraordinary given all the health issues she was dealing with at the time. She prepared food, changed diapers, cleaned and did all kinds of other stuff always asking if there was something else she could do to help. 4.During a Christmas party about 2005 we were playing catch phrase. We were all laughing so hard we could hardly catch our breath. I do not remember why or what triggered it. Just that we were all smiling and laughing together as a family. Thanks for the memories. Love, Ken

Grandpa & Grandma Baugh, Some of my earliest memories of you two were when you would come over and visit our home I remember Grandpa would straighten the rugs in the living room, and grandma would show us her purse and tell us the medicine wasn't candy. We always would get so excited when you would come to visit, and I remember always fighting over who got to ride in the car with you guys. I remember one weekend you took me up to Logan when I was a kid to spend a few days with Great Grandma and Grandpa Baugh. We picked cucumbers and ate creamy Popsicles. Through out our lives you have grown to be amazing influences for good in our lives. We love being around you, we constantly feel your love and support and have always felt your encouragement in all we do. Now that I am a little older I even enjoy more the conversations we have together. Its been a privilege learning about your lives, stories, and advice. You set great examples for all of us of hard work, loving family relationships, and finding joy in all things. When Justin and I were first married we really enjoyed the weekend we came to Los Altos to stay at your house when you took us to in-n-out, the golden gate bridge, and the most delicious crab dinner ever! We enjoyed talking and the drives around town. I am continually grateful for all you do. I can even put into words the gratitude and love I feel for you. From teaching us about saving money, to helping Justin and I make our first home, we've always felt your involvement and care in our lives. We were so excited to share that part of family history and live there the first year of our marriage. That place holds a special place in our hearts we will never forget. So many lovely memories. We appreciate all the sacrifices you have made to bring our family closer together. You are great examples in all aspects of life, and we adore you both. Love, Justin, Ashley, Corgan & Greyson

Grandma and Grandpa Baugh, Thank you for everything you guys do for us and the family. You guys are examples to us and we love you more than you will ever know. Thank you for sharing your love of the Gospel and family with us. You will never know how much your testimonies have showed us the path to living happy lives. Love Taylor and Kristie

 Courtney & Tyler

Dear Grandma and Grandpa, The older I get the more I appreciate and can see the importance of influences all throughout our lives. My parents have obviously been a huge influence in my life; teaching me the gospel and preparing me for a mission, marriage in the temple and life. You guys have also had a great influence on my life. The getaways to Park City each summer have helped me realize the importance of family for you guys. This has become a big example to me. I feel so grateful to have been born into such a wonderful family. As I grew up I started to notice more and more how much wisdom and experience you guys had in life. I love being around you and learning from you. This Thanksgiving when Grandpa shared with us his deep love for Grandma and the gospel, I was very touched. Especially being just a couple weeks married at that time, I just remembered thinking, WOW! I wonder what they did to perfect this relationship and stay so in love with such respect after so long. The more I've pondered these things, I've decided that living the gospel the best we can is what will lead to a happy marriage and family. I'm grateful for your example in living the gospel and your happiness in marriage in a world where marriage and family have been portrayed so far that. I'm grateful that long before I was ever around you guys were strong church members and taught my mother how to be a strong member of the church and amazing mother. This time of year I'm so grateful to be a part of our extended family and all the positive influences. I'm so grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ, his birth and atonement. I know that we can become better everyday. I know the gospel is restored on the earth today and that it is the way to return to our heavenly father and be together with our families forever. I'm grateful for all the helps we have in our day, words from modern day prophets, the Book of Mormon, church, leaders, programs. I know that family has played one of the biggest roles in bringing me to this happy point in my life, and I'm so grateful for our entire family. Thank you guys for your example in all aspects of life. Merry Christmas. Love, Courtney Rose Evans

Dear and Grandma and Grandpa Baugh, At the beginning of the year, I would have never believed had anyone told me I would be taking Courtney Rose to the temple and marrying her. But life has a strange way of turning things around on you rather quickly, and I couldn't be happier that that is just what happened. When Courtney and I first started dating, one of the things I enjoyed most was being at the Rose house spending time with the entire Rose family. I immediately felt included, and really felt like I belonged and was an actual family member. Indeed, I was just as happy being able to meet the two of you, because like the Rose clan, you welcomed me with open arms and treated me like one of your own grandchildren. I was immediately impressed with you as grandparents, as human beings, and as church members. I was very grateful being able to spend time with you in your home, and with the extended family in Park City during the 4th of July and Thanksgiving. I have seen how generous and committed you are to your children and grandchildren. You are certainly an example to both Courtney and I, even in the short time I've known you both. I want you to know that I have a testimony of the restored Gospel and Church of Jesus Christ. I have a strong testimony of prayer, of the scriptures, of the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith, and of a living Heavenly Father. I have a very strong testimony Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior and Redeemer of the world, and his eternal Atonement for all of mankind. It is my hope that Courtney and I can have a family and extended family as wonderful and strong in the gospel as yours. Thank you so much for all your kindness, generosity, and example to us both. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year in 2012! Sincerely, Tyler R Evans

Dear Grandma and Grandpa, I just wanted to thank you for all you have done throughout my life. All the times we have spent in Park City over the years has made me see what an eternal family can be like. The example that you two have set in living the gospel, working hard, caring for each other, and always striving to bring joy to the whole family, is an example I am extremely grateful to have witnessed. You raised such an amazing family, and because of your influences on your children, they have successfully raised families within the gospel. I hope to know that feeling of success when I start a family of my own. I know you have both supported all of us in ways we will never know of, I also know you have supported us in ways you may not have known of. When my dad was sick, I know my parents found great comfort in knowing they had people who loved them. My mom was under so much stress, and when we went to Park City, I could tell that having her family around her kept her going strong. It gave her the much needed 10 minute breaks she didn't get at home. I am so amazingly blessed to have you two as grandparents. You are fascinating and spiritual people who change lives daily.. Thank you again, you are amazing spirits! Love, Whitney Rose

Dear Grandma and Grandpa- I have so many memories going back as far as I can remember. I can't remember a big event in my life that you guys have not been a huge part of. I love that you two have always been there and been great examples for me. At this time in my life I seem to ponder more of the spiritual experiences and the family values you have shown me. You two have shown all the grandkids how important family is. That we should always think of others before ourselves and your selfless acts will never be forgotten. I want you to both know what a huge role you have played in my life and in my testimony. Your example has truly help me see what I want in my future family. I love you both so much. I love the Gospel, and How much it blesses our lives and our families. I love My Savior. I am grateful for this time of year when we get to focus on the birth of Jesus Christ and the Miraculous life he lived and that he died for us so that we could return to live with our Heavenly Faith and be with our Families for eternity. Love, Sister (Mckenzie) Rose

Grandpa & Grandma I just want to say how thankful I am for both of you. You are such great examples to me and all the grandkids. The happiness and joy you have for the gospel is amazing. Its because of you guys that my mom was able to marry in the temple to my dad and raise such a great family. Also thank you so much for inviting us to Park City every year. It really has brought us closer as a family. I couldn't imagine living my life and hardly knowing you guys or the Titensors, both have made huge influences in my life. All my favorite memories as a child are in Park City and spending time with our family. You guys have done so much to help me and my family and there is no way I could say thanks enough. You guys truly are an amazing couple and have taught me so much about life and the gospel. I know that this church is true and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. There have been many times in my life that I have needed the help of prayer and every time it has come through. From the little things like waking up for school on time to the big things like when my dad was sick prayer has made a huge difference. The days I don't pray are some of the hardest days of my life. I know that even if you just say a 30 second prayer it makes all the difference. I also have a testimony that we were given the family we have for a reason. The past few months with friends have been hard for me but I know that it would have been much harder if i didn't have a great family I could call up and hang out with. Thats not just talking about my immediate family but also because of you guys I have been able to stay close with my cousins. I love this family so much and I am so great full that you raised my mom the way you did. By your example she has made our home a happy place where we are all able to get along. Which is a miracle by its self to get 6 girls to be as close as we have become. I know that the Book Of Mormon is true and I cannot wait to go on a mission and teach this gospel. I think about what I will miss when I go but I know it is all worth it in the end because people will be able to feel the spirit. I know that Christ died for us and that he still lives. I know that when the presidency wrote The Living Christ it was inspired and is as true today as it will ever be. I know that God loves and knows each of us and knows what we are capable of and would never give us a challenge that with him we couldn't handle. He loves each of us and will help us when we ask. I know this church is the true church. Merry Christmas! Love you so much! Love, Lexie

The family is fundamental, not only to society and to the Church, but also to our hope for eternal life. -Henry B. Eyring | Dear Grandma and Grandpa, I just want you to both know how much I love you. I'm so grateful for the amazing influence you have been in my life. I am grateful for the love you both show me and my entire family. Being able to come spend a few days with you guys this summer was so great, I'm sure I will always remember that. Park City and all the fun times up there have been a huge part of my childhood memories. I love you both so much and I am grateful that you are both faithful members of the church and have raised your children in the gospel. I love my mom and I know I have so much to learn from her, and I know that all came from both of you. I love the gospel, and I know that Christ died for us, and through him we can find comfort, guidance, and forgiveness. I love having that knowledge, and I love having a great heritage that has kept that important through the generations. I love you both so much, I don't think I can ever say it enough. Love, Cassidy Rose P.S- Go Aggies!

Mom and Dad, I hope that this Christmas Season brings you much joy and happiness. I am truly grateful for the memories that I have of Christmases past with our family. Forever etched in my memory is our family prayer on Christmas Eve in Brigham City that was interrupted by a jovial Santa barging into our house. I was terrified that I had not been fast asleep when Santa arrived and that there would be no presents for any of us on Christmas morning. After a very long and restless night, I was very relieved to see that Santa had somehow decided to make an exception to the rule and leave presents for us after all. You always allowed us to enjoy the magical side of Christmas and spoiled us with nice presents, yet made sure that we understood and reverently celebrated the true meaning of Christmas. Acting out the Biblical account of the birth of the Savior as a young family was a great teaching moment for me and helped to form the foundation of my testimony and love for our Savior. Going to see the Christmas lights and nativity scene at Temple Square each year was another experience that left a strong impression on my young mind. Your teachings and example are reflected in the lives of your children and grandchildren. That is one of the greatest blessings one could ask for. You have provided many great opportunities for our extended family to be together and continue the traditions that mean so much to each of us. For this I am eternally grateful. Have a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy 2012! With Love, Ken and Melinda

Dear Grandma & Grandpa, Some of my fondest memories of my childhood were the sleepovers at grandma and grandpa's house. I remember going to parks, duck ponds, playing games, and riding the exercise bike 100 miles in one evening. I remember grandpa explaining the concept of stocks to me, and that as a shareholder of McDonald's, he owned a portion of it. I remember him saying that he very well could have owned the chair that we were sitting on in McDonald's. I remember being befuddled, but apparently seeds were planted which later developed into a love for finance and investing. I remember grandma playing pickup sticks and cootie with me. As a parent, I now realize how tedious those games can be! Some other random memories of grandma and grandpa's house include climbing in their front yard tree for hours on end, using their cordless phone as a walkie-talkie, and playing with grandpa's red LED moving sign. Grandma and Grandpa have always been there for me, and I'm forever grateful for their love and great example. I'm also grateful for their example of living the gospel. I know that it's true and that living the principles of the gospel will bring us much joy and happiness. -Brian Grandma and Grandpa were the first member's of Brian's family that I met and they were so sweet and kind to me. I'll never forget how nervous I was to meet them, and how fast that nervousness disappeared! They are both so warm and kind and loving. I've loved family reunions and other get together with them in Salt Lake, Park City and California over the years. I have some really fond memories of parades, and playing games, and just spending time together. My kids love their great grandma and great grandpa and love to talk to me about when they got to eat Ramen at their house. :) I am so grateful for Grandma and Grandpa for all that they have done in raising their own children, and setting a great example for their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I love them so much! --Tiffany

Merry Christmas Grandma and Grandpa! Thank you so much for who you are. You are both wonderful examples to us. Thank you for always being so kind and generous. It is always so much fun for us to be around you. We had a great time with you during your last visit to Utah. We are very excited to see you again in California for Christmas this year! It's during this time of year that we can reflect about the true meaning of Christmas. We're grateful for the knowledge of the Gospel that we have and for the hope that it gives to all. If we have faith in the teachings of Christ and live by them, we will find happiness in this life and in the life to come. We love you very much, Kevin and Meridith

Dear Mom and Dad, Merry Christmas.I have so many great memories ofChristmas's past, Baugh Christmas party's,Everyone crowding into Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's house, Sister Goats personal Japanese Opera for our family....my appendicitis attack and Ken going blind... Delivering Christmas trees to needy people in our ward with dad, making Christmas candy with Mom and Grandma Johnson...the golden Christmas music ball, our white Christmas tree, my first pair of skis... "Christmas crackers" with party hats, and prizes a beautifully decorated dining room table....oh and Harvey, my stuffed monkey...I really remember not being able to sleep, and kept Diane up all night-because I wanted a ventriloquist doll soooo bad..and who can forget the infamous "stapler" Christmas, when dad had to drive to his office late at night and get his stapler off of his desk for me. anyway.... lot of great memories, All revolving around family! Thank you so much for providing a loving and secure home where the Gospel was not just taught but it was lived. Your and mom's examples have been my greatest teacher. I am continually reminded of the things I have learned as I try to emulate you as we raise our own family. The Gospel becomes more and more important to me as I age, and as I recognize the blessings it has and will bring to our family. I know that families are eternal, and and grateful for the covenants you have made and kept in order for us to be an eternal family. Thanks for giving me a wonderful life, I love you. Sherry

Boyd and Donna, Merry Christmas, this is the time of year when we reflect on the Savior and his birth, it is also a time when we ponder the blessings we have accumulated. Where do I startThat’s easyFamily! I have been so blessed to have married the girl of my dreams who has followed the example of her parents. The influence you have had on Sherry and I have reflected in the three wonderful children we have raised. We are so proud of them and I thank you for being part of their lives. The annual or semiannual trips to Utah have been a blessing for our family as we reunite with extended family. To get to know my nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-law, grandparents, and of course the both of you are cherished times. We really appreciate the time, cost, venue, and sacrifice. In order to make this all possible. One of my favorite memories of the many trips to Park City was the time the family toured the silver mine. Not only was it a fantastic experience but was funny to see the whole family wearing plastic ponchos packed in an elevator like a box of Twinkies. Along with the good times we have experienced with you there has been some sad times. Like the time I swore on the sidelines and got busted by you Donna (I still don't recall what I said)...I apologize. Or the time I got sand on your car, Boyd. Anyway, I am grateful for you and the love we share for each other. I also want you to know the love I have for my Savior as he is my redeemer. He gave his life for me that I can be cleansed, that I can return to my Heavenly Father and reunite with family. I know the Book of Mormon to be true and I know the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored through a prophet of God. I know we are led by a living prophet today who receives direct revelation from our Heavenly Father to help me in my daily struggles of life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true as it has blessed the lives of my family. Love, Glen

Grandpa and Grandma, I want to wish both of you a very merry Christmas. I wish that we could spend this special day with you both. I was very happy to spend Thanksgiving with you in Park City and to see grandma walking around. I am so grateful for for the example that you have set for me and for my family. I have so many great memories with you guys. I remember spending time at your house learning to juggle with lemons. I remember when Grandpa would show us a picture of the Rose family and give us a dollar if we were able to name all of the kids. haha I remember seeing you both love each other and care for each other. Its what Elise and I talk about being all the time. Through your examples my testimony has strengthened. I am so grateful to have a family that is so strong in the gospel, and their beliefs. It is so amazing gathering as a family and realizing that everyone has the same goal and that is to be together forever. I want you to know that I am grateful for my Savior and for the atonement. I know that through Christ we will live with each other forever. I know that there is no grateful joy then to see our family go through this life together and faithful. I am grateful for the Church and the gospel and the teachings I have learned. I know that I would not be where I am now if it wasn't for my parents, and your examples. I love you both so much. I have the best grandparents in the world. Have a Happy Holidays! Love, Scott

Dear Grandma and Grandpa, Merry Christmas! I hope you will have a wonderful Christmas, this is such a wonderful time of the year. I want to express my love and gratitude to the both of you. You have shown me love and treated me like a family member since the first time we met. You are both so kind and giving, and dedicated to one another and family. I see the way you go about your life, all the hard work you have put in, and I admire you so much. All the struggles you have been through as well, as I have watched you I have learned so much and see so many traits I myself want to attain. You are amazing examples, not only of how people as individuals should be, but as partners in marriage and as members of the church. I want to thank you so much for being the best Grandparents I could have ever wished for. I love you both so much, and enjoy seeing you and spending time with you. My Testimony: I grew up in a home where my Mom was a convert and my Dad was raised a member. I had good examples throughout my life but throughout my teens years I struggled with my beliefs and what I wanted. It was not until l went through some particularly difficult things that I recognized my need to rely on my Savior. I changed for the better and am so happy I did. I recognize the goodness that the gospel bearings to my life, and know that without it I would surely be lost. I am so thankful for the trials I have experienced, because they brought me to where I am today. I love the Lord and pray often to him, and know that he hears me and answers me in his own way. I am especially thankful for the knowledge that the gospel gives us in regards to life after death. Even though it is impossible to comprehend what will happen, it gives me great comfort to know that I can be with my family forever, and that Scott and I are sealed together. I love going to the Temple and feeling the spirit and peace that it brings, nothing can compare to that feeling.I choose to rely on the Lord to get through trials, and thank him for all the many blessings I have.Although at times life seems more difficult than enjoyable, I know that learning to love the happy moments and remembering them is what matters. I know that the Lord blesses the righteous and faithful, I know that he hears us and answers our prayers. I love you both and hope you have a very happy Holiday! Love, Elise

Dear Grandpa and Grandma, Thank you so much for everything you have done for us. Erin and I are so grateful for the example that you have been. We look up to you so much and everything you do motivates us to continue working hard, being optimistic and having a passion for life. We love spending time with you two and we are so so grateful for all of the opportunities you provide that allow the family to spend time with one another. Those times are some of the best memories we will have together. I will always remember pushing Grandma around in that huge wheel chair at the Ice show, and going 4 wheeling with Grandpa in Park City.or when Taylor, Scott and I broke into the pool at the Lodges, or just everyone playing games together. It has been awesome to spend time with family and get to know our cousins over the years. We are so thankful for the Gospel in our lives and for the example you have set for us to become eternal families. We love you so much...its time for you to move up here so that we can spend more time together! Love, Erin ,Brad, and Dozer

Merry Christmas! I am just so grateful for both of you. All of my favorite memories have been at our family reunions. I love being able to see y'all every year and sometimes even twice a year. You have really brought us all closer together as a family. If we didn't do that, I don't think I would know my cousins or even you very well. I just want to let you know that I will be eternally grateful for the opportunity to come together as a family every year. You have raised some pretty darn good children and grandchildren! We have all been blessed by the good choices that you have made throughout your life. Your great examples to me, especially in the gospel. Because y'all have lived the gospel principals throughout your life and taught in to my mom, she now teaches me. I have been taught the gospel through my family and I know this church is true and I know that the family is ordained of God. I love this church and I know it's teachings to be true. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I am also extremely grateful for seminary. (shocking, I know) But it has taught me so much and it has strengthened my testimony. Thank you for everything. I love y'all so much! Love, Kristy
