This book is dedicated to all my family and friends who constantly believe in me and encouraged me to make this happen Also to Mom and Dad... Hey... I'm a published Author.. just like you!

My YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS My yellow rose of Texas is what you'll always be Soft delicate perfection etched in memory A tiny yellow rose bud nestled in my arms A sweetly fragrant blossom with the scent of newborn charms A precious little rose bud so delicate and so soft My life could never be the same; before you came I was lost I could stare at your face for hours, caress your tender cheek Trace your perfectly pursed lips with my fingertips all the while you'd sleep Angelic beauty encircles you a vision to behold A precious velvet bloom in spring with petals yet to unfold An enchanted field of flowers could never begin to compare With the whisper of contentment in my heart In which my yellow rose put there

MY LITTLE YELLOW BUD My yellow rose of Texas Has bloomed right before my eyes Her – own little yellow rose bud What a sweet and lovely surprise Words do not run deep enough To express the way I feel But when you hold her in your arms You will know (as I did) "GOD IS REAL" For there has never been such a precious gift This miracle of life, Please treasure every moment – as the years pass way to quick This is the greatest job – you will ever have To this child you carry – you must be both Mom and Dad This is not an impossible task - or “HE” wouldn't have chosen you To be the “Mother€ of this child - you are soon to give birth to

GRANDMAS LITTLE YELLOW BLOSSOM Grandmas little yellow blossom - Oh, what a joyous thing Grandmas little yellow blossom - Oh, just in time for spring I thought my yellow rose was gone - But here she is again My blossom produced her own little bud What a sweet and beautiful thing A tiny little rose bud –again- nestled in my arms A sweetly fragrant blossom - with the scent of newborn charms A precious little rose bud – so delicate and so real Words do not run deep enough to express the way I feel Every time she smiles at me – I'm lost as anyone would be Grandmas little yellow blossom couldn't mean any more to me An enchanted field of flowers could never begin to compare With the whisper of contentment in my heart In which my yellow rose – remains there

PASS ME A SMOKE You're no good for me – yes I know I look foreword to you – depend on you so I expect you to calm me – and make me look cool But from what everyone tells me – I am the fool I wish you would leave me and let me be I lack the guts to divorce you and set myself free You take all of my money, you're always there I can't seem to shake you, I wasn't aware You have such a hold – I’m devoted to you I left you once – thought we were through I thought of you often – and missed you so When you came back around – I couldn't say no

Eventually I let you come back in You took over my life – and now rule it again I think every night – about leaving your butt Yet you're always there to wake me up You'll probably be there until the day I croak I’m tired of worrying about it – Pass me a smoke

MY DOG “PHOEBE” Your there for me when I’m happy Your there for me when I’m sad You're always glad to see me Even when I come home mad You're loyal and true and devoted to me You're not afraid to show it – you want the world to see Your happiness spills over as everyone knows For when someone comes to visit your love surely overflows You light up the room with your silly ways And make people laugh when you romp and you play Your big warm and cuddly this is quite true Who needs a stuffed teddy bear – when I have you? You are my protector you keep me safe from harm I’m not afraid of much whenever you're around You are so special – you mean the world to me In my eyes the greatest – My little Phoebe!

A DIAMOND You truly are a diamond in the rough A superb gem worth digging up A genuine prize worth fighting for Please Eeyore, why do you hang your head so low? Why do you focus on a few small internal inclusions? With their un-cut lack luster shine? To the untrained eye, a rock shall you remain, Eeyore sits there feeling somewhat dull and unappreciated Yet I see your potential, your clarity, brilliance and beauty Just lying beneath the surface waiting to be dusted off and Polished up for the entire world to see Not long ago I remember someone saying Who will cry for the little boy, Who walks the burning sand? I say who will “fight” for the boy Trapped inside the man?

Take time to weep for that young child Who did absolutely nothing wrong Then ask God to help you forgive So that you may hold your head strong Grow to be that man within You keep so tightly guarded Let God lead you down the path You know that you can do this You have a great power within Anything you aspire to do You only have to begin Put your head up Eeyore, Keep yourself focused You now know what you're meant to do Lean on the Holy Father above And let your magnificent light shine through.

LAKESIDE October comes – fall is here I always look foreword to this time of year The girls get together for laughter and fun The weekend is full – always on the run We watch funny movies and play lots of games No other weekend is ever quite the same We eat little sandwiches served on rye bread We stuff ourselves silly, definitely well fed Popcorn and soda, nuts and candy Were not short on anything – this party's a dandy There's nothing like friends all getting together Burping and farting in all kinds of weather The weekend goes quickly the air turns cold I wouldn't trade our weekend for an ounce of pure gold One more walk around town, one more trip to the pier Hope to see each of you again, the same time next year!

NO ONE LIKES 2 BE ALONE Although why – I can not say After a long and drawn out day When everything is quiet – And everyone's gone I stand firm in belief – Nobody likes to be alone Just to unwind – let down your hair Blow off some steam – with someone who cares Read a book – maybe watch some T.V. When you do it alone – you remain lonely Pick up the phone – and call a friend But once you hang up – you're alone again

There's comfort and contentment Knowing someone's there – to support you Or just listen - when you feel the need to share know it may sound – like an old cheesy song If you believe otherwise – tell me I’m wrong But nobody likes to be alone Yet everything is quiet – everyone's gone So much to share – Yet - all alone

FOREVER TIED We once had a thing – you and I It wasn't that great – but we got by Two lonely people – unsatisfied Didn't want commitments - didn't want to be tied Guided by friendship – rather than love We had not a clue – it was planned up above But for some unknown reason – which was meant to be Our caring relationship – turned into three Two lonely people – unsatisfied Not wanting commitments – forever tied You've been gone for so long A lifetime – or it seems Is it even possible to start over? Or just a little girls dream Two lonely people – unsatisfied Not wanting commitments – yet forever tied
