FC: Our Life for Your Child | Lee, Deb, & Anna
Dear Birthmom- thank you for checking out our family. No matter how hard we try we can't really understand everything you are going though, so we created this scrapbook to let you know who we are, and answer some of your questions. We have one precious 4 yr old daughter named Anna. She is our miracle and the best thing we have ever done. We also have three furry kids, our dogs, Harper, Homer and Yoyo. We both grew up with siblings who we had fun with, argued with, and who now have children of their own. Anna enjoys playing with her cousins, but what we really want is for Anna to have a brother or sister, and the same experiences we had. Unfortunately, after years of infertility treatments, the doctors have told us that we have less than a 1% chance of having another biological child. That is why we are hoping you consider us as a family for your child. We have so much more love to give, and are excited to help another child explore the world and be loved in a secure and happy home. We feel blessed that you are reading this as you attempt to make the most important decision and gift you can ever give your child. The next few pages contain the story of our life- past, present, and future, and the life we hope to share with another child. | With deepest appreciation, Lee, Deb & Anna
About Us We met in South Carolina in 2004 and very quickly knew that we were meant to be together forever. We moved to Maine in 2006, and were married at our home on the ocean later that year. Deb is a stay- at home mom, but previously worked with at-risk teens and their families. Lee is the vice-president of product development for a bank, and we are lucky that he works from home four days a week.We enjoy spending time as a family on our boat, having barbecues with our friends, traveling, camping with friends, and going to local fairs and animal farms- all those childhood adventures. We are so excited to adopt a child as we are blessed and have so much more love to give.
Hi Birthmom . I think you would want to know that I love being a mom and Anna means the world to me. Being a mom is not easy all of the time, but her smile and laugh make up for the trying times of some whining and testing limits. Some of our favorite things to do is to cook together, lots of arts and crafts, reading, playing outside and having play dates with her friends and their families. I try to keep Anna busy, so we go on many adventures to playgrounds, animal farms, to the beach, her favorite art studio, and to dance class with her best friend. When I have some quiet time I like to read, cook, complete crafts, and just be outside swimming, walking or boating. I also recently completed my masters degree in nonprofit management, and hope to make a difference in our community. I believe that I am a good mom with so much more to give to another child- giving baths and reading stories before bed, wiping tears, working on homework, attended baseball or soccer practice, watching dance recitals- I could go on forever. More than anything, I can promise you that I will do my best to make sure your child is safe, feels secure and inspired and is much loved. | Lee's thoughts on Deb.... Deb won me over on our first date, we had planned dinner and a movie - that night she called me about an hour before I was to pick her up, but she quickly realized I had just left work. Her next words were "go home and relax for a few minutes - I'll come to you" and she meant it! Over the years I have watched in amazement as Deb fixed dinners for sick friends, never forgot a family birthday and always keeps her cool - even on the toughest of days. I was amazed with her selfless generosity from the start - years later she is still the beautiful, confident and selfless woman I fell in love with that summer night. | Favorite Things To Do crafts cooking reading beach/swimming Nascar traveling | Deb
Hi Birthmom - I am Lee and as I hope you can see, I love family, friends, and being active outdoors in the water and snow. I also like big toys- boats, cars & computers. I work from home four days a week so that I can be around Anna and Deb as much as possible. I enjoy gardening, improving our home, fixing cars, and socializing with friends. My extended family is extremely important to me - we call, Skype, or email with them almost daily. I have traveled all over the world, and I can't wait to show Anna and another child all of my favorite places. I believe I am a great dad. Anna has me wrapped around her little finger - and I love it! More than anything I want a sibling for her. Being a dad to many children has always been my dream, and I hope one day that I will have another child, and Anna will have a little brother or sister. | Debs thoughts on Lee....... I fell in love with Lee's passion for life, his immense love of family, and they way he adored his dog. He really is a big kid at heart who loves to have fun.He is extremely close with his friends- some from preschool! He is my best friend, soul mate, protector, and love of my life | Favorite Things To Do boating skiing exercising projects around the house cars & boats family activities | Lee | Family
Family and Traditions | Traditions and family are a big part of our lives. Spring means all of the cousins' birthdays and Easter egg hunts. Summer means boating and barbecues with friends and family. Fall is cousin Edward's football games. Thanksgiving is a huge feast- Deb starts cooking on Tuesday! Christmas has two trees, stories of Santa, lots of presents and making cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve. There always seems to be one wedding a year which turns into a family reunion. And dogs are always included! | GRANDPARENTS
Our ocean front home with with 2 acres on a private dirt rood. It has a room just for toys too! | Looking down at our boat and dock. A great place to camp or have s'mores in the fire pit. | Our backyard with slides, swings, monkey bars, a playhouse, and of course, the sandbox. | Our living room with wood burning fireplace. A great place to hang stockings or get warm after sledding. | Anna's nursery. Deb loves Winnie the Pooh, and now it is Anna's favorite too! | We are blessed to live on the coast of Maine in a small town of 22,000 people. The town is very active with a farmer's market, five playgrounds, an active parks and recreation department, a new high school and a new elementary school opening this fall. We are close to Portland and the children's museum, but still live in the country with all of the farms, oceanside boating villages, and safe neighborhoods | Our Home
