4: First Birthday and Second Christmas... Grandma Armour came to visit....she was one of his favorite ladies!!

7: PJ was a happy child...He brought so much joy to our lives. At 13 months, we were still waiting on his hair...at 4 it was thick and blond! And still adorable in Kindergarten!

13: It was an adventure traveling from N.Carolina to N. Dakota for the Wedding. We traveled in our old pick up truck with attached camper shell...our version of an RV! No air conditioning and a broken gas gauge...we were young, stupid and poor! Ran out of gas somewhere desolate, and the Minnesota mosquitoes had quite the feast on us! 14: From Birthdays to all other Holidays....We had fun. We spent most of our childhood in North Carolina. We loved living there and the freedom we had. We were true country kids!

20: Juliana joined the family in 1991. PJ loved being a big brother and was very involved in the girls' day to day lives.

25: The Soldier Paul joined the Army after graduating high school. He attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and further technical training at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. | He was employed as an Intelligence Analyst during while in the Army. He was stationed at Fort Benning, GA with the 3rd Infantry Division and also served a 4 month deployment in Kuwait.

31: November 1999
32: Christmas 1999 Christmas was spent in Washington. We took in some sights and explored the outdoors while getting to spend some quality time with the family.
33: Family was very precious to PJ.
34: We adopted Cody from an animal shelter in Benld, IL in February 2000. He was 3 months old at the time, as was Seth, so it seemed like a perfect fit. Paul picked out his name; he thought Cody was a great dog name. They were always pals!
35: Cody always had a fascination with Seth's pacifiers, so one day Paul decided that we needed a picture with the guys and their pacifiers.
36: Spring 2000
37: In August of 2000, we drove to Indiana to see Philip and Valonne. We had a great weekend visit with them and then stopped on the way home for a horseback ride. Seth had a blast riding Tumbleweed.
40: Washington Visit 2001 | We had a great visit to Washington. We enjoyed a little carnival, Northwest Trek and a visit to Mt. St. Helens.
41: In the summer of 2001 we came to visit. Tyler and Seth had fun playing around. Tyler enjoyed his time with his Uncle PJ the most. He was always willing to get down and play with the kids.

44: So many good times. So many memories. Nothing is as special as my brother. Through the good and the bad... there was always love.
45: Halloween 2002 Seth was a big fan of Peter Pan. That year, and only that year, did we all dress up. Courtney made costumes for her and Seth, while Paul went all out on a rented Captain Hook.
46: Florida January 2003 | We went on a road trip to Florida for a week of fun with grandparents, Disney World and exploring.
47: Cera joined the family in August 2003. While we were visiting in Carlinville one weekend, Paul kept hearing a cat meowing outside. Just before we left, we started following the little cries for help and found him stuck in a tree. Paul got him down and he followed us back to the house. He was just too cute and helpless to refuse, so he came home with us!
48: Summer 2003 Another visit and more fun together. This time Miranda was there to enjoy the fun too.
50: Christmas 2003 We spent one week in Hawaii for Christmas. We got to see many of the spots that Paul enjoyed as a kid. We took a flight from Travis AFB, CA to Hickam AFB for free, staying in base lodging. We went to his old house and school, lots of swimming, visited Pearl Harbor, climbed Diamond Head and took in the views at Pali Lookout. It was a busy, but wonderful week touring the island. The return flight, however, didn't go as smoothly. We ended up buying one way tickets home because the pilot decided to leave early, but it was worth it!

53: December 2004 we had a Holiday visit. PJ had bought Courtney a new wedding ring. What she did not know was he was beyond nervous about his choice. I tried to convince him she would love it.....and when she opened it she loved it. Such a special moment.
54: Another Baby Makes Four! Lydia Abigail May 9, 2005 | We fully anticipated another boy, but were pleasantly surprised by her arrival. She was Daddy's little princess!
55: August 2005
56: Fun in Texas We really enjoyed our first stay in San Angelo, taking trips to San Antonio and surrounding areas. We explored and had lots of fun. Most of all, we enjoyed being together in our one bedroom apartment!
57: December 2005 | We took a road trip to Florida to have a little fun and spend some time with family and friends. We stopped in North Carolina to see where Paul grew up and reconnect with friends before heading on to Florida for more visiting with family.We even got to spend New Year's Eve at Disney World!
58: February 2006 | The whole family attended a special ceremony for Courtney's promotion to Senior Airman. Paul even got to help tack on the new stripes!

60: In April 2006, Julie came for a visit. We had a great time with her, showing her around Maryland. Our favorite was the visit to Fort McHenry.
61: May 2006
62: We went to Washington to attend Christy's high school graduation in June 2006 and had a great time visiting with everyone. We took our usual trip to the Children's Museum and rode the Chehalis steam train, just to name a few of our activities.
63: June 2006 | We also visited Mt. Ranier. We loved the beautiful scenery, especially Narada Falls.
64: October 2006 We loved going to the pumpkin patch to get our pumpkin and we visited this particular farm several times. There were hayrides, pony rides, slides, corn maze, great food, but most importantly, family time!

67: We were all together for Thanksgiving, a rare event. PJ was always goofing off.
68: November 2006 After our visit at Wendy's house, we drove down to visit with Courtney's family for Thanksgiving, followed up by a surprise 25th anniversary party for Courtney's parents.

71: We had a lot of great times while living in Maryland. we visited Fort McHenry, spend lots of time at Six Flags America, and took trips to see family in Pittsburgh. It seemed we were always doing something! | Living in Maryland 2005-2007

73: September 2007 A photographer came to the house to take some pictures of the entire family. We then headed out to the Chesapeake Bay for more photos.
74: October 2007 Our last trip before leaving Maryland was to New York. We visited with family and went to Niagara Falls and Fort Niagara. We even made a spontaneous detour to the Gettysburg battlefield on the way home!
75: Fall 2007 We had a great road trip on the move from Maryland to Texas. We stopped in Kentucky to visit and see the sights. After that we headed on to Illinois for some more family fun before finishing the journey to San Angelo.
76: April 2008 We took a weekend trip to Canyon Lake, TX. We towed our boat down to the Jellystone Campground for some tent camping, swimming on the lake, drive-thru safari and even got to visit with Christy.
77: We got to spend more time with family in Washington. We had lots of time visiting, but got out to enjoy several of the local festivals and events as well. | June 2008
78: July 2008 | We always enjoyed the amusement parks, so spending the weekend in San Antonio, TX to go to Six Flags was not uncommon. We even took advantage of the hotel pool!

81: Paul was always a whiz at teaching the kids how to ride their bikes. All he needed was an afternoon and he would have them on their way. | We had a great time riding the steam train in Grapevine, TX.
82: Florida August 2009
83: We spent one week at Disney World, jumping from park to park. We stayed at Fort Wilderness in a rented RV that we towed all the way from Texas. We also made a stop at Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay. The best part of it all, though, was getting to visit family and friends.
84: Paul was always so soft-hearted when it came to animals and Cookie was no exception. He and Lydia found her wandering a street on the north side of San Angelo in October 2009. She was severely neglected and in much need of love and care. We took her in and cleaned her up; she became part of the family and the little lap dog Paul always wanted to have.
85: Fall 2009
86: Winter 2009 We spent Christmas in Washington, including taking in the sights of Seattle and celebrating Paul's birthday.
87: Hannah Ruth July 12, 2010 | Paul was so thrilled to add one more kid to the family. He loved being a dad more than anything else and he was great at it.

92: Living in Texas | Texas was probably Paul's favorite place to live. He spent so much time exploring forts and historical sites. He was a real cowboy at heart.
93: He also just enjoyed some down time. Whether feeding ducks at the Concho River, snakes at the nature center, or exploring Galveston Island, he always knew how to have a good time.
94: Washington Trip July 2011 | We took a trip to Long Beach, WA followed by a quick stop in Astoria, OR to see the sights.
95: We had a lot of fun getting out and exploring the area, indoors and outdoors.
96: Playing Around | Paul was always crawling around on the floor, wrestling around with the kids. He loved playing around with them.
97: Paul entered us in a miniature golf tournament in August 2011. Our team name was the Peanut Putter Sand Wedges (Paul came up with the name). We were up until about 1 o'clock that morning making these shirts. We were a hit and won a $25 gift card to Olive Garden for the most creative team name. We weren't great golfers, but we certainly had fun!
98: Grand Canyon September 2011
99: We spent a couple of days exploring the Grand Canyon. We hiked some trails, watched the sunset and just enjoyed being a family. After our visit to the Grand Canyon, we stopped at Bedrock Village. It was tons of fun and we got to relive another one of Paul's childhood memories.
101: There was nothing more important or valuable than his family, especially his children. They are his legacy and they will carry him on as he is forever a part of them.
