2: "You are never far from thought and always close to heart." | Shirley Hallock Shirley Hallock of Hillsboro, New Hampshire went to be with the Lord on June 16th, 2011 after a long illness. She was born Shirley Helen Reck on December 21, 1926 in Bridgeport, CT to Paul and Helen Reck. Growing up in Fairfield, CT, she graduated from Fairfield High School and went to medical laboratory technician school in Boston, MA. After graduation she moved to Daytona Beach, FL and worked as a lab tech at Halifax Hospital. It was in Daytona that she met her future husband, Robert Hallock, and they were married on October 6th, 1949. They started their married life in Miami, FL where she raised four children while moving around the Southeast following her husband’s career in the airline industry, finally settling back in Miami in 1960. As the children got older she went back out into the medical world working for several years in a physician’s office. In 19xx they retired to “Windsong” their home in Hillsboro, NH.

3: You Are Always in My Heart | Shirley had many passions. She loved to travel the world with friends and family. She loved music and was an accomplished organist and singer, and was most proud of her concert alto solos in Handel’s “Messiah”, and of course, the Bell Choir at Smith Church in Hillsboro. She loved books and looked forward to her weekly work at Fuller Library. She loved to create, and was an ardent knitter, seamstress and crafter. In later years she became an avid gardener as she developed the grounds of her home. But most of all she loved interacting with people, she loved a good conversation, and not many people could escape her charm and sense of humor. There are many who will miss her. She is preceded in death by her husband Bob. She is survived by a brother Paul of Mill Valley, CA., children Bob Hallock and wife Ann of Savannah, GA., Jo-Ann Pinna and husband Bill of Miami, FL, Paul Hallock of Bell Florida and Susan Whitley of Hillsboro, NH. Grandchildren Eliza Hallock, Sean Pinna and wife Melissa, Tina Flowers and husband Billy and great grandchildren, Morgan and Taylor Pinna, and Tyler and Skyler Flowers.
