FC: Nadiva Abramowicz
1: Nadiva Abramowicz was born into a very religious family on May 26, 1928.
2: Nadiva grew up in Paris, France surrounded by a large family but was closest to her brother Caleb.
3: Nadiva's life began to change when her family was taken out of their home by SS Officers. Luckily the fake identity papers given to all the children by their parents allowed them to escape the concentration camps and get jobs in various warehouses.
4: Nadiva was sent to work in a warehouse of electrical materials.
5: g | This was where Nadiva first met Elie Wiesel and treated him like family when he was beaten by their supervisor.
6: In 1945 Jews everywhere were being liberated from the concentration camps and Nadiva was finally free from the warehouse .
7: After the Holocaust, Nadiva moved back to Paris and married Oren Berkowitz.
8: A few years after Nadiva and Oren got married they had their first son, Isaac on January 1.
9: Isaac was quickly followed by twin girls named Devorah and Nita on March 8.
10: Though many years had gone by since the Holocaust Nadiva never stopped looking for her brother.
11: On a family trip to New York to see A Living Memorial to the Holocaust, Nadiva saw the last person she expected to see, her brother Caleb.
12: The one thing that tore her family apart also managed to bring Nadiva and her brother back together.
