FC: Tiffany & Dainian's Adoption Profile
 Welcome to Our Hearts...
Thanks for taking time to learn more about us. We’re Tiffany and Dainian and we are beyond excited to become parents through adoption! In these few pages, we will try to give you a better sense of who we are and the kind of parents we hope to be. We can’t imagine the emotion and strength that it has taken for you to work towards your decision. And we pray that you’re surrounded by love and support as you finally make it. If you think our home might be the right one for your baby, we want to assure you that we’re both committed to raising a family with the best, most loving care that we know how to give. | A Bit About Us...
 A Bit About Our Profile...
We both have so much to tell you! To make it less confusing for you, when I (Tiffany) am speaking, my words will be in pink. And when I (Dainian) am speaking, my words will be in blue. Most of the time, though, we’ll be speaking together. That’s why most of the text you see will look like this. | So! Who are we? Where to start? After much debate and editing, we've decided that there are nine things we'd most like to tell you about our family. If after reading through this top nine list you decide you'd like to hear more, we'd love to get together and get to know each other!
1 | The story of us begins with a random meeting in 1997. | Neither of us wanted to go to an album release party that night, and we only stayed for about 20 minutes. He was cute, but he was a horrible dancer! I lost points on dancing, but I think I made them up by calling to make sure she'd gotten home safely.
We talked on the phone for hours while flipping through channels and watching movies together. By dawn, we had covered everything from our families to politics and discovered a shared love for Monty Python movies. From that night on, we were inseparable! Four years later, I proposed. He tried to propose on Christmas, New Year's Eve, and Valentine's Day before finally asking one night in April when we were just hanging around the house!
Your Child Would Be Our First Child. | 2 | Rehearsal Dinner
And both sides of our family are eager to welcome their first grandchild! Both of us come from large families and we all get together as much as we can. My dad is the oldest of seven children and my mom is the youngest of seven, so my family memories are of large get-togethers, lots of activity, food, and running around with my cousins. And both sides of my family live in the same neighborhood -- literally around the corner from one another! Your baby would be surrounded by love from cousins, uncles, grandparents and great-grandparents -– even my great-great-grandmother! | Dainian's Dad & Stepmom | Tiffany's Mom and Dad
3 | Our comfy little house is on a quiet, kid-filled street in the city. | We have a huge backyard with plenty of room to play and have fun. Plus, we live a short walk away from two schools and several tot-parks. We chose our home and neighborhood because we could easily picture trick-or-treating and building snowmen with our future family. Or even just taking a simple stroll around the block after dinner.
4 | We Took A Winding Path To Adoption. | We spent the first years of our marriage just enjoying each other and our new life. When we felt we both wanted to start a family, we were met with a few obstacles. But now that we’re on the other side of our years of infertility, we can see that they strengthened us and our relationship. We are closer than ever as we now come to adoption. We have always thought of parenthood as the next big journey in our lives and we can’t wait to share our love, happiness, and support with your child.
5 | After 12 years of dating and seven years of marriage, we’re still amazed at how much fun we have together. Our favorite Sunday afternoon includes grabbing coffee and heading over to Barnes and Noble to browse the latest releases or to flip through classic favorites. Dainian’s first gift to me, in fact, was a copy of his favorite book, the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. I was hooked by the second chapter.
We Bond Over Books. :) | And I’m a huge science fiction and comic book fan. One of my most "painful" childhood memories is of how I lost my most prized comic book – the first appearance of Wolverine – to a fit of anger from my five-year old little brother. | Dainian With Dad And Brothers
We both have stable jobs in federal and state government which means that we have resources for trips to DisneyWorld and for a quality education. We both chose to attend college and would be proud to offer that opportunity to our children, as well. | 6 | We're Not Rich, But Are Financially Secure.
 Las Vegas, 2003 | Savannah, GA, 2009
7 | Tiffany Will Be A Working Mom. | At The Office | Volunteering | With Coworkers | I have always worked in public relations and media, usually as an advocate for troubled kids and families, but most recently in politics. I love my job and the flexibility it offers. I work full time now, but can eventually choose to freelance or become a consultant.
For now, my job offers a bit more flexibility so we can limit the time that your son or daughter would spend in day care. We’re also blessed that most of my family lives nearby and that several of our good friends operate day care facilities or provide care out of their home. We’re certain that we’ll have a network of safe, loving care options for our child during the day. | Getting Ready
8 | We both enjoy exploring life from other perspectives and challenging ourselves mentally. And we want our children to be exposed to all kinds of fun, positive experiences, too: music, travel, sports, books, making friends, and being creative. | We're Open Minded, Adventurous People!
Just like my dad and granddad did for me, we'll do chores with our kids and teach them about responsibility. But we'll also cook and eat together, volunteer together, and go to church as a family. We'll take road trips to new cities and explore local museums. And we also plan to visit other countries and learn about faraway places together.
9 | We'd Love to Meet You and Hear Your Dreams For Your Child. | After your baby is born, we would welcome the chance to continue building a connection with you through cards, letters, videos, and photos. If you need things to be a little more distant, we’re open to that as well. The most important thing that we want to tell you is that your child will grow up knowing the love you have for him or her and the care you took in finding the right parents and home for your baby.
Our Promise To You | As eager as we are to meet you, we know that the next move must be yours. And we wish there was more we could do to help you in this process. Like we said, this is just a glimpse into our little family; we’d love to share more. When we think about becoming parents, we think about providing the same unconditional love and stability that our families gave to us. The same profound love you are showing in considering an adoption plan. As adoptive parents, we promise to forever honor that love. If you think our home might be the right one for your baby, we promise to raise him or her to understand and always respect your courage and selflessness. Above all, we want to welcome you into our lives and wish you the very best, whichever path you choose.
