FC: Happy 30th Birthday Carrie

Dearest Carrie, First and foremost you are a friend like no one else compares to. You are truly the most giving and selfless person I know. Always putting your own needs second and bending over backwards to make everyone else happy. You have been such an important influence in who I am today. Without your courage and resourcefulness I could have never trusted in packing up the Uhaul and moving down to Southern California without a job but with a zip code that read: Newport Beach, CA. Who cares if we were the “hill people” and could only afford one beach cruiser at first so we used to ride each other on the handlebars down to the bars. I will never forget asking boys to be our sponsors at the bar and succeeding and frequenting dives like Malarkys (hot lap), Sharkees (drink hook ups), Blue Beet (need I even mention why we liked it here?), and Chester Drawers (Check for Sores). Even though you had a boyfriend you would always set aside time to spend just with me usually drinking 2 Buck Chuck, erasing old friends from our phones, and getting ready to go out listening to the rave 24/7 radio station....shiny disco balls. My early twenties belonged to you and I would never have them any other way. But our friendship started much before our adventures in California. In our favorite town Pullman! Through Delta Gamma I met my best friend. The one I would hang out for hours at in the ATO boiler room, the one I would seek out for drives to Moscow, and for a crazy spring break with fake i.d.s in Arizona. The best friend that would hide out in 4th floor ghetto sitting in chairs on the balcony watching the world go by...running down to riots in our pajamas or starting to drink champagne for breakfast in our pajamas and never changing. Valhalla had the best bar staff and I will forever be grateful you got me my first bartending job. I am smiling on the inside thinking about how we always had so much fun. I can't believe where our lives have taken us now. I was honored to have you by my side when I married Justin and to stand by you while you and Randy exchanged vows. You threw me the most amazing baby shower and I am honored to do the same for you. I cannot wait to meet baby Jake and hope that I can be half the Aunti that you are to Jackson. I can't believe we're about to be mommies together. I am so blessed to share my life with you and I will forever be your best friend. I love you more than you could ever imagine. My Boozie! Happy Dirty 30.! Damm you’re old.!!! xoxo Love Tara

Carr-Star, my dearest BF. I don't even know where to begin describing how much you mean to me and the impact you've had on my life. I've always believed that everything happens for a reason and that God intends for certain people to cross paths and that couldn't be more true when it comes to you and me. It definitely wasn't a coincidence that we became friends. My entire life changed for the better when we met. If it wasn't for you I would still be miserable in rainy Seattle...gross.! Over the past 5 years we've created so many memories2 pac in the closet. Drunken push-ups on the dance floor. Road trips to SF. Big vagina lipped girl. Tiger Horse Tiger. Drunk dialing after smoking pot in Palm Springs. Drunken bike rides at the Parker...let me rephrase, drunken bike crashes at the Parker. You peeing your pants at the Parker. Your amazing wedding. Smoking cigs in my hotel room at your wedding. Holding back the tears as I stand next to you as your Maid-of-Honor. And those are just a few of my favorites! Thank you for being the most amazing woman I have ever met. I Can't wait to be old sitting on your front porch talking about our younger years our days at Landmark, and how those horses made of Ivy are still crooked after all these years because we decided to hump them on a weekly basis after a drunken night at the bar! You truly are a beautiful person inside and out. And it’' been so much fun seeing you go from a strong, single woman to Randy's gorgeous wife and now Jake's mother! I am so honored that I've been there with you every step of the way. I truly feel like God had me in mind when he created you he knew he was creating my best friend for life! And although you're about to pop, and you can't drink, and you have a penis and balls growing in your belly, I still hope you have a AMAZING 30th birthday. And don't worry we'll celebrate this summer when you can BUZAR it up! I Love you more than Margaret loves pizza and that's a whole lot! Who's better than us?? NOBODY! Hugs and kisses, Dana a.k.a Dane-Star

Carrie! You are such an amazing women, I am so excited for you to become a Mommy... I know we never spend much time together, but whenever we do I have such a great time with you.. You are so sweet, fun, and loving, oh yes, and lets not forget drop dead gorgeous. I hope you have an amazing dirty 30 birthday!! We will have to celebrate after the baby is born... Congratulations on the baby and Happy Birthday Darling! Hugs, Jessie Blyth | Dear Huzar - Happy birthday and welcome to 30!! It seems like just yesterday we were hamming it up at Delta Sigs and falling down hills together (in cocktail dresses, no less). Now we are entering the wonderful realm of mommyhood! You are an amazing person, one of the most down to earth, wonderful women I know. I hope that your 30th is filled with love, joy and celebration (and hopefully some really good food). Love, Leah

Carrie, First of all, let me say HAPPY 30th!!!!! It has been such a blessing to call you a dear friend. And I feel so privileged to share in these big life moments with you. Your beautiful wedding, your 30th birthday, and now watching you become a mother. Even in the very beginning of our friendship I felt a special bond between us (my fellow Pisces) and since day one we’ve had some big laughs and have created some stories for the record books For example, one of my fondest memories is of the 4th of July, loooong loooong ago. We watched the fireworks at Stacie's, stormed the bars of Kirkland and somehow ended up in Tay Tay’s bed (who knows where he was).ringing any bells? And instead of going to sleep like good girls, we started talking..and talking turned to giggles and then giggling turned to laughing.and then more laughing(this may have been where my snort was born).and then crying from laughing so hard.and then falling out of bed bent over in hysterics. I'm not going to say exactly what it was that we were laughing so hard about but I will leave you with this, picture teeeeny tiny feet hanging off the foot of a bed. I wish so much that I could be there in person for your Birthday and for your son's Birthday but know that I'm always just a phone call/plane ride away. And I can't wait to see what the future holds for you and your family. Love love love! Annie B.

Dear Carrie, Happy 30th Birthday Friend! What a big year for you entering in to a new age bracket (30-35) AND having your first baby! Although we haven't seen much of each other since our SoCal days, I wanted to wish you the very best this next year and look forward to getting lots of baby updates! My favorite memories of you are from Cali! It was so great getting to know you better after college. So many absurd nights out in San Diego or in Newport you and Tara coming to stay with us at the beach going out to PB Bar & Grill or the Poon Saloon (Typhoon) all of the Booz Bus WSU games where I was mostly unconscious (woops) but still remember laughing and drinking on the bus and cheering on the Cougs! When we all made up man names which I cannot for the life of me remember anyone's but Steph's – Stan, and I was of course just Marge the super fun trip we all took to Palm Springs for Fizzy's bday and polished off like 4 cases of wine then created “Tit-Soup”. and Coffey became Coff-roach gross but hilarious. So many other fun times, I could go on and on. Now we are all getting older, starting families and doing out thing! I will always remember those days very fondly and you will most certainly be a part of those memories for me J All the best to you on your 30th! XOXO - Margie

 life after college...

 Out in Seattle...

Carrie, It feels just like yesterday that we were entering junior high together and now we are 30! I will never forget those days and all the laughs we shared. Whether it was perfecting my escape tactics from your house before the ‘rents’ got home, taking up a new hobby of kick flips and chasing skater boys, our tags of Jupiter and ‘bush’, getting into Nick’s Drakkar, dressing up for photo shoots, laying in bed while you were the good kid getting up to go wake boarding with my parents and just simply laughing until our bellies hurt. The list goes on. One thing I remember clear as day was when I moved away and thinking that I would lose my friend Carrie forever. Little did we know our paths would soon cross again at WSU. While we didn’t spend much time together through the college years I have and will always hold a special place for you in my heart. Childhood friends just feel like family and you truly were a part of our family. I am so glad we have reconnected over the past years and only hope to continue to share all the adventures that lie ahead. I could not be happier for you and Randy as you welcome baby Jake into this world! Motherhood is the greatest gift and I cannot wait to watch you blossom into this beautiful journey. Savor every single moment as it truly flies by. Happy 30th birthday and cheers to the next chapter! Love Always, Misty Carpinito

 Mexico...

Boozar, Well, what can I say, we haven't seen each other since my California days, and even then I didn't get to see you as much as I would've liked, but I still remember all of our crazy PiPhi/ DG times at WSU (or more specifically, ATO's and Vahalla) together fondly. Wow, that was a long time ago! It's been WAAAY to long since we've all been together, I think a big reunion in Pullman is much overdue. You're such a beautiful girl, inside and out, and I am positive you'll make an excellent mommy. I am so excited for you and can't wait to see pics, this baby is going to be a stunner for sure! Wishing you the very best on your 30th birthday...and even more for the birth of your baby. Congratulations!! Much Love,...Grout

Living on Newport Beach's Peninsula... Dirty 39th Street

Dear Carrie, I know its only been 3 years since we met, but I feel like I have known you a lifetime. You are such a wonderful person, and have that special knack for always making people feel welcomed and cared for. You are surrounded by such fantastic friends and the fact that you have included me in that category is truly an honor. I want you to know that I will always be here for you for the joys and hurdles that life may bring. Both you and Randy are going to be the most amazing parents for baby Jake and it will truly be a joy to watch your family grow through the years. Your friendship is very special to me and I look forward to a life time of memories! Love you, Nikki

CARRIE HUZAR BOOZAR!!! HAPPY DIRTY THIRTY!!!!!!!!!!! Seems like yesterday that we were skipping out on Rush events to hit the river- literally (remember when I got a concussion wake boarding) I still use that as one of my excuses from time to time for stupidity. But seriously you took such good care of me! I remember you saying in a calm voice, "you have a concussion" I need to drive and we are going to the hospital. Then the doctor starting asking me how much I drink per week and asked me to recite Lincoln's speech- What an asshole! Then there were the countless trips up to Silver and Schweitzer. What fun!! Do you remember when I flicked Jon's booger at Jesse and it stuck to his ear and was dangling like an earing. He was soooo pissed! And our trip to Whistler! When we were suppose to be chaperones and we got high and patrolled the halls. I think I may have laughed so hard that I peed my pants... Seriously Huzar, I don't know what I would have done with out you in College!!! Really you were like my big sis and are such a good friend! I miss you tons and every year I wish that we could take some turns together! One day I am going to get you up to Alaska for some heli skiing! I am sooooo excited for you to become a mama! You are going to be such a wonderful Mom, just as you are such a wonderful friend! I can't wait to hear all the stories and I am hoping that we can set up a pre-arranged marriage between our kids! My advice is to get a journal and start writing to your baby when he is born. Tell him about the changes you see, the silly things he does, and the way that you feel about him ect. You will be blown away when you look back because you really do forget all the little stages they go through and when they start (babbling, eating food, rolling over, crawling, walking, talking) it all happens so quick! But if you keep a journal you will have all those special memories recorded and it is a nice gift for your child. (I have a friends whose mom passed away and the journal her mother gave her from her first year of life is her most precious gift!) You are in for the greatest experience yet! Wait till you get blown away by the greatest LOVE of your life! Enjoy every minute! Trust yourself! Trust your instincts, and rest whenever possible! It's all about the moment(s) and they are fleeting! Also don't forget to make time for you and Randy- a date night once a week is a must!! Carrie, I love you and can't wait to meet the little bambino!! Here's to a quick and easy labor and delivery! XOXO -Mitch (AKA Laura Crist

Dearest Carrie, Where would we be without SeaFair? It is so crazy how we met in Seattle but both lived in Orange County and now, 6 years later, here we are! We came into each others lives at such an important and special time – a crossroads of two girls entering adulthood, both of us energetic and excited of what might lie ahead for us and getting to know each other on such a level that many friends never get to experience. So many things happened for us at the same time like we always hoped would (kind of like two little school girls talking about their dreams and watching them become reality). We got married at the same time like we always hoped we would and now we will have babies just 5 months apart! I have a feeling our 30’s are going to be very good to us – but our 20’s were pretty fun! I will never forget all the great times we have had together. New York was such an amazing trip we shared and Chicago was even greater! We took both of those towns by storm just like so many other things we do together in life. I am so grateful for the amazing friendship we have and I am so proud of the woman you've become! I look forward to many wonderful memories we still have to make as friends and as families, with our husbands and kiddos in tow. Ella is so lucky to have the love of Auntie Carrie around her always. I can't wait to love Jake just as much! I love you to pieces and thank God everyday that he brought us together that August day in Seattle. Happy Birthday, My dear, darling Carrie. I love you always! 43: Happy 30th Birthday, Carrie!! When I look back on the 12 years of friendship with you, a few "great times with Carrie" come to mind: Our drives into the Palouse with a Jack Russell Terrier named Eddie wearing a bomber jacket sleeping in the back seat Leadership class with Noel and her stories about her preacher boyfriend Joy riding down Linden Street in a chariot and being pulled over by B Jacobson - both of us lying about our names and me getting caught :) The drive from Wazzu to OSU - a little fuzzy, but so much fun! You have also introduced me to a few new things - my first gin and tonic, spin class (where I thought i was going to throw up), "steaming" With so many friends coming and going, I'm so blessed that you have remained in my life. You are one of the most giving and loving individuals that I have ever known. I have so much fun with you whether its going out to dinner, having a cocktail or 5, or just lounging around.
