BC: The End
FC: One unusually cheesy Valentine's! Three flights to SF: Erin from Colorado, Andy from Arizona, and John from Florida with Jill & friends for a fun weekend | San Francisco Valentine's Weekend 2011
Mozzarella making party at Amanda's house. The first batch did not come out. We are waiting on more milk to try again, while Carlo sings to us in Italian. Bellissimo!
How many people does it take to make one batch of mozzarella? One to make it, one to sing for it, two days, and at least three bottles of wine to wash it down.
The second night, the process is working! Dominico gets it down just right. No singing this time, and less pressure. We are ready! | Are we there yet? Do I look skeptical, or what? Andy is making a Mr. Grumpy face! Tough crowd! Is Andy gripping the door frame to keep from strangling Dominico?
Lending a hand to drain the whey and getting soaked in the process. But I don't cry over spilled milk! | Yummy! Put a fork in it!
Amanda gets a chance to wring out some mozzarella. Time to test it out. It is good! I'll drink to that. John is pleased that the wait is over!
I'm so hungry, I could eat bamboo shoots! | A lovely day to be "hanging out" in the Haight. | Always use caution when spending time with John. | Not bad for a self portrait!Good and goofy!
Good Morning! I love all the neighborhood restaurants in SF. Here we are fueling up before wine tasting! | What's better than breakfast with friends? Breakfast with lots of cheese, of course!
We will drink no wine until it's Cline... or Schug... or Viansa... | Clearly we have already been to Schug for a tasty taste or two... or five? | Say cheese and wine! | Here they are: The Schug Wine Club Elite Members. Jan, Terry, Andy, Jill and John show me how it is done; with snobbery and panache.
We purchased kibble for the fish to nibble. A little post-wine entertainment! | Look Out Below! | Watch out for the Mud Sharks! John prepares for the attack!
SF Farmer's Market! So many good things to try! | We have traveled far to sample your fares. | How long do we have to hold this smile? | "Please, Fricia... buy me flowers!" | John pretending to be our tour guide! | And here we are in front of the... wait, what is this?
The Tulips were Too Pretty! We also admired all the blooming twigs and bouquets of beautiful flowers. The Farmer's Market was in full bloom!
Remember: Ray guns don't kill Zorgons, Zorgons kill Zorgons! | Rocket... Yeah! Really... how many photos do you need?
Here Tricia and Jo await their turn on the Gothic Raygun Rocketship to Far Off Distant Lands. They packed light and ate sparingly. Good thing they remembered to wear their laser deflecting sunglasses. To Infinity and Beyond! | Why is John smiling? After he took this photo of Andy and I, he tried to charge me $50 bucks for it? I know it was cute and taken in San Francisco... but that is just highway robbery! I was forced to strangle him.
Who knew we had to take a rocket to get to the farmer's market? Such a beautiful day for flying... or riding the muni, as it were. One always gets a little more diversity than expected or imagined while riding the bus! All good fun when shared with friends.
Jill in all her glory: with family, friends, and sunshine in her favorite city, in one of her favorite places, the Farmer's Market with a beautiful bouquet. You win the prize, sister!
To market, to market to buy us some twigs... home again, home again... like a bunch of school kids.
This is when Jill and John slyly make a run for it in the rain, and go nosh something really yummy without Erin and Andy. Looks good enough to eat! | See their smug little faces? Well I've got news for you: Andy and I wouldn't eat at this crab shack anyway! :)
Even with my beautiful Rockies, I will always feel the pull of the Pacific Ocean. Love the breeze! | We liked the Java Stop near Amanda's house. A great place to get a snack & watch surfers!
Can't forget our house mates: Turbo and Bailey. Bailey had a lot to share. | Amanda and Lukas admire the seals near Stinson beach. It was a beautiful day to have lunch and a stroll. | Amanda took this shot and is cleverly hiding the couple behind us in chairs! Good to get a little sand between the toes.
