Dear Colonel, thank you for... Teaching me how to be a leader. Having faith in me. Always being supportive. Never giving up on us. Knowing when something was wrong. Your patience. Outstanding D.C. trip!! Unforgettable memories and experiences. Love, Victoria Crumb | Colonel Garrah is such an inspiration to his students and fellow teachers. His teaching abilities are endless and more than anything he truly loves each and everyone of his students. He is willing to go beyond what is expected of a teacher to ensure his students will get everything they need to continue their journey after high school. I personally am honored to have had him in my life and has made me a better person inside and out. He has helped me not only in the classroom but out and took interest in me when I had troubles at home. Colonial Garrah is not only a teacher, a friend, a father figure... But a hero to me in every way. Thank you colonel for being there for me and making me the person I am today. I love you dearly and God Bless! :) -Alex Morris

Titan Battalion 2011-2012 | Colonel, you are one amazing person to look up to. If it wasn't for you and your support, I probably wouldn't be where I am. All the experiences with JROTC and you will be some I'll never forget. Thank you for everything! -And let me tell you why- (You say this all the time, it's my favorite Colonel phrase!) -E. White

Thank you for being the best dad I've ever had. The past four years have been some of the best and I owe that to you, so yes, I will pay off your house. -Mosquera

Colonel, thank you for being a father figure for not only us in staff, but all of us cadets in the entire battalion. -J. Goveia | "Let me tell you something, put that money in your pocket and grab a candy bar." You're awesome Colonel!! -Alex Lopez | Colonel you're awesome. Thanks for everything you have done. You're my second father. -Natalie Sanchez

Colonel!! It was a true pleasure to be one of your cadets in such an amazing program. Thanks to you and Sgt. Major i was able to get rid of my shyness and figure out the definition of "leadership" and not just that, but also the definition of "influence". I've never looked up to anyone the way i do to you and Sgt. Major and just watching how little by little, step by step your influence reaches out the community just amazes me. Yes, we have amazing cadets in our battalion, but that is only because of the great leader that we have. Thank you, Colonel... For helping me be a better citizen. -Alberto Garcia

Dear Colonel, Thank you for helping me realize I had the potential to go to college. Your favorite son, Yoel Garica : D | Thanks a lot for everything you have done for me. You're like a second father and a really good friend as well. I'm gonna miss you a lot when I graduate, take lots of care and always be happy :):) -Daniel Nava

Dear Colonel, Did you know that you're pretty darn amazing? I bet you've been told a whole lot of times, but I just want to take some time to remind you. You've been like a father to me. You watched me turn from a giggly freshman to a dependent senior. Without your help or encouragement, I seriously don't know what would have been of me. Thanks for keeping me in line. Thanks for adopting every cadet and helping them improve themselves. We are all more than lucky to have met you. You don't get enough thanks...words will never be able to explain our gratitude, but we can keep trying. Please stay awesome. Much love, Ana Mozo | You're the best dad ever. -Matson

"Sherly, how is it that you always manage to hurt yourself?" Thanks Colonel for everything. Even though you don't know it you give me hope when I lose all hope. -Sherly Latortue

Few people have ever made an impact in my life, and none have influenced me the way you have. To this day I think back to the way my life was going and wonder where I’d be if I had never arrived into your classroom. You have aided me in molding my future, and you have given me advice that I will never forget. I thank you Colonel, for everything you have done. You have become a second father to me, and I’ll always strive to make you proud! -Hooah! Paulino Barbosa | I got to say Colonel, ever since I met you, I never thought I was going to be in this position, in college and going towards the military, but you did teach me a lot in the few years that I was with you and the program, and I wouldn't change that time for anything! Especially our favorite time in Washington DC, haha. As always you will be our DC dad, and even our second dad, because you have always been there for us and taken care of us no matter what, and we are very grateful for that. Thank you Colonel! -Jeffrey Cespedes

Col. You have been my father, mentor, and one of my best friends. You have guided me through so much. We have had our share of funny moments to. Thank you so much. I love and miss you. You're the best. - your son Jonathan Artaud

Dear Colonel, there aren't enough words to say how thankful we all are that you are one of our instructors. You've taught us so much and i can honestly say that you're like a father figure to most of us. JROTC has given me some of the best memories and I have you to thank for that! You push us and influence us to strive for greatness. If it weren't for you and SGM this battalion wouldn't be as great as it is. I can also say that most of us wouldn't be where we are without you. Thank you so much for all the time and effort that you put into your cadets and the battalion. -FemGuz :D
