86: JessicaÂ’isms - 3 YEARS OLD I informed Jessica today that we were having a party for her Birthday. She said, "I want to come". I said "It's your party". She said "No, My Party". I said "Yes, Your Party". She said "No, My Party". I left it at that and said "Yes". LOL I took Jessica to the Mall today. I told her I had to get money. She wanted to bring money too. So, Dad had her pick out one of her purses and he deposited some coins in there for her. She carried that purse over her shoulder all over the mall. The mall has a little area where kids can ride mini rides for 25 - 50 cents. I had been pulling quarters from my stash for her to ride. When Mommy ran out of quarters which was all the rides took, I told her no more money. She remembered the money Daddy put in her purse and decided she wanted to spend it to ride more! It was very cool that she remembered, but the look on her face when I had to explain to her that the only money the rides took was quarters and she didn't have any literally broke my heart...her face dropped in such disappointment.....poor sweety. I'm thinking a roll of quarters for a present is an awesome gift for her! Jessica exclaimed the whole way home at each light..."Red, Stop"..."Green, Go". At one light traffic was backed up pretty far. The light turned green and I heard "Green, Go". Pause. "Come on Guys"! Jessica got her sock stuck in the 'lift lid peddle' of the trash can. I hadn't noticed right away, but when I did, her sock was pulled half way off and I laughed heartily. Jessica, very mockingly said "Ha-Ha Mom!" That's the first time I've heard her give a sarcastic laugh! We were doing our usual 'try to go potty' before bath. Jessica tore a piece of toilet paper off the roll, wadded it up, and exclaimed, "SNOWBALL!" Very creative, my dear! Big Girl Panties! No more Diapers! You were 3 yrs and approximate 2 mo old. I picked up Jessica at school and they were outside playing. She had just gotten off of the swings and ran over to me and said, "Mommy, I'm flying!" Remember what it feels like to fly on swings forever, my darling...I love you! We were looking at a house with Mema and Pa in Berthoud. The owner of the house left their very large kitty at home. After much, much coaxing from Jessica saying, "Hi, Kitty". "Here, Kitty". "Come on, Kitty". She said, "Kitty's grumpy." Jessica got a fuzzy purple monkey. The fuzz was falling off onto the floor. She said, "Look, Monkey feathers!" Jessica's nose has been running. I said do you have green boogers. She said, "No, Blue!"
87: Jessica plays air guitar and jams out to Ted Nugent's "Stranglehold". That's our gal! We were having breakfast watching morning cartoons. Jessica pulled her pajama pants off. Inspected the inside and said, "No, No fart in there." OMG....So Funny! Jessica and Dad went to the park and brought me home a surprise. Pine Cones! We had to cook them for Sid the sloth (Ice Age Movie). Jessica now shops in stores. Picked out her own outfits. Modeled them for Daddy when we got home. The funny part...She had to wear all of them at the same time. The following Monday for school, she had to wear all of them again. Her teacher said she didn't last long, rosey cheeks from being so warm! On the way home today, I asked Jessi if she wanted to have a party with Mommy this weekend. She exclaimed, "YEAH!". I said, "What kind of party do you want to have?" She said very enthusiastically, "A CHOCOLATE PARTY!" Jessica spent a day at Mema and Pa's. She had a slice of bologne at lunch. Relayed from Mema: She took one bite and said, "Oh, a boat." She took another bite and said, "Oh, a bigger boat." She took another bite and it ended up in two pieces and she said, "Oh, two boats." We were coloring at the kitchen table and we were going through colors we wanted to color with. She grabbed one and I said, "Are you going to use brown?" She said, "Silly Mommy, that's chocolate!" Jessica has been drinking out of big kid/adult cups. I told her to be really careful and she said, "I hold cup. See, I have BIG Hands!" Key phrase of the month: "It's o.k., it's an accident." We found some of Jessica's dress up clothes and she asked me to put on her clip earings. After I did I said, "You look so cute!" She said, "I cute always." Jessica tucked me in at night, got me a pillow and her favorite bunny. It was 11am and we were still in our jammies. I told Jessica to go get dressed. She came out of her room all dressed with her backpack, purse, and baseball cap on. She said, "I get dressed all by myself! Even my underwear! I'm ready to go!" I said, "Oh are we going somewhere?" She said, "Lunch and Shopping." We went to Chick-fil-a, Target, and Kohls...Fun girls day.... I was so exhausted after work and team building at the Rockies Game that I came home and plopped down on the couch and watched kid movies with Jessica. I think she was so happy that I 'chilled out' with her. She kept saying, "Thank you, Mommy". Then towards the end she said, "Mommy, youÂ’re my best friend'...Heart strings... Jessica had a smudge of dirt on her cheek. I licked my finger instead of grabbing a wipey to get it off her face and she said, "No Mommy, my teacher says we don't put our hands in our mouth and share! There are germs in there!" She made an 'O' with her mouth and said, "See, Germs"! Jessica told me she had monsters in her room. I said, "Show me." She turned on her Buzz Lightyear night light and pointed at the shadow of her rocking chair. She was excited to get rid of that chair in her room! Jessica sang "Rain, Rain, Go Away, Come again another day" in the shower. While Jessica and I were playing babies, one of her babyÂ’s talks and the other baby doesn't. Jessica said, "Don't play with that one Mommy. I like quiet babies." Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!
