4: William Howard Wrenn was married twice. First to Connie Lee Weaver on Feb 3 1923 Howard and Connie had 7 children. The first child was a little girl who didn't make it through the day, They named her Annie May Wrenn. I would almost bet she was named after Daddy's aunt Annie. She was born and died on Nov 23, 1923 in Guilford Co., NC They also had a set of twins. I can't find any record of them in Guilford, Alamance or Rockingham Co's. Warren, Wallace, and Marie remember them being born so it must have been before 1930 and even a few years before for Marie to remember them. I understand that they also didn't live through the day. 16: Lambeth Wrenn and Parthenia I have found no birth or death date for these two. Also I have found nothing on Lambeth. Except for being named on his son's marriage certificates there would be no proof that he ever existed. Parthenia finally shows up in the 1880 Census with a fourth son. Her age is given as 53 | Except for Thomas, the other three children were raised by other family's in the same Rockingham Co. area.

Mrs. Wrenn spent a good part of her time in Asheboro with her daughter, Mrs. M. C. Spoon before her death, and had many friends in town. Mrs. Wrenn was born June 11, 1841 at Worthville. She was a devout member of the Worthville M. P. Church, and a good Christian worker. The children of Mrs. Wrenn, who survive her are; Mr. Will Wrenn, Cedar Falle; Mr. Jim Wrenn, Worthville; and Mrs. M C. Spoon, of this place.

34: Confederate Service Record of Samuel STEWART/STUART of Alamance County, NC from NARA in Washington, DC Film Number M230 Roll 38 SERVICE RECORD OF SAMUEL McCLELLAN STEWART CONFEDERATE NORTH CAROLINA TROOPS 44th Regiment, North Carolina Infantry 44th Infantry Regiment completed its organization in March, 1862, at Camp Mangum, near Raleigh, North Carolina. Its companies were recruited in the counties of Granville, Edgecombe, Pitt, Chatham, Montgomery, Beaufort, and Franklin. It served in the Department of North Carolina, then was assigned to General Pettigrrew's, Kirkland's, and MacRae's Brigade, Army of Northern Virginia. En route to Gettysburg the 44th stayed at Hanover Junction to guard the railroads. Later it fought at Bristoe, The Wilderness, Spotsylvania, and Cold Harbor. It was then involved in the Petersburg siege south of the James River and the Appomattox Campaign. The regiment reported 23 killed and 63 wounded at Bristoe, sustained heavy losses at The Wilderness and in front of Petersburg, and surrendered 8 officers and 74 men on April 9, 1865. It commanders were Colonels G.B. Singeltary and T.C. Singeltary; Lieutenant Colonels Richard C. Cotton, Elisha Cromwell, and Tazewell L. Hargrove, and Major Charles M.
