1: Getting there is half the fun | First class all the way
2: Campo de' Fiori Market | Local sights and color while touring Rome
3: I love Italian sausage | We sampled produce, salami, wine and cheese from one of the most famous markets in Rome.
4: I love pizza | Pasta, pasta, pasta.... | bread, bread, bread.... | wine, wine, wine and.... | ....pizza, pizza, pizza. | pizza everyday
5: St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican and Vittorio Emanuele
6: The Roman Forum | The Colosseum | The Spanish Steps
7: We tossed coins in the Trevi Fountain wishing to return again to Rome. | "La Passeggiata" or the evening stroll, at the Piazza Navona
8: After a harrowing drive along the Amalfi Coast, | We saw ancient ruins in the partially buried city of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius volcano in the distance.
9: Overlooking Sorrento on the Amalfi Coast | we arrived at the Buca di Bacco hotel in Positano.
10: Spectacular views | Spectacular company
11: We walked the beaches and the steep hills of Positano.
12: From our train, we gazed at the breathtaking landscape of Tuscany covered with | thousands upon thousands of olive trees | and rolling vineyards as far as you could see.
14: At Olmastrino Winery Lucia helped us taste, our own extra virgin casks in her tasting | in Greve in Chianti, pour, bottle and seal olive oil from the cellar. Grazie, Lucia. | Olio | Olio
15: We tasted our way through the Chianti wine region. | Vino | Vino
16: From grape crushing and sampling Chianti Classico, to their own red table wine from a... gas pump?
17: One more stop for olio and vino tastings and a tour of the barrel cellar. Then on to the Relais Vignale in Radda in Chianti.

19: Ahhh, the Brunello di Montalcino. Tuscany's best wine, and our favorite. | Laura and Marco gave us a private tour through the winery and the vineyards.
20: Laura led us through our wine tasting with a special bottle of '97 Reserve from the owner's private wine collection. Our best wine tasting ever, with cases of Brunello shipped home.
21: Lunch in Montalcino after a walk through the narrow streets of town... | ...where the dogs feast on homemade spaghetti.
22: We continued our drive through the Val d'Orcia to the beautiful
23: town of Pienza, best known for its Pecorino cheese. Mmm...good.
24: Montepulciano and St. Biago Church
25: After our plentiful wine and cheese tastings, we arrived in Montepulciano. Our stunning suite at the Relais Villa Grazianella had never ending views of the Tuscan landscape.
26: The romantic city of Venice with the Rialto Bridge spanning the Grand Canal | our Hotel Centauro
27: We spent hours leisurely sightseeing and shopping.
28: Our final day was spent visiting St. Mark's Basilica and the Piazza San Marco with nightcaps at Cafe Florian.
