BC: In the end we were travel weary, but the experience was priceless! Philip and Nancy said they could cheerfully live there (Mwanza), but Bob and Pat agreed it was a great place to visit to encourage the missionaries, but it was time to get home to Murfreesboro, TN.

3: Saturday at the traditional site of Samuel's home in Ramah; Christians, Muslims and Jews use the building. | According to Bob the coffee was a minus 3 on a scale of 1-10 ! | Sheep being herding nearby.

5: Sunday am meeting was conducted in Hebrew with some English. | The Orthodox Jews persecute Messianic Christians to the point of possible job loss, hence no faces. | Sunday worship with the church in Jerusalem

7: Tuesday we headed north for Meggido which is still being excavated.
8: From Meggido on the way to Tiberias we stopped at the Goat Cheese Farm of a Jewish Christian family and also visited with another isolated Christian family. Life for a Christian in Israel is hard and subject to persecution. | Traditional site of Sermon on the Mount
9: Joe gave us a special treat at the Roman Hot Springs at Gadara | We made our way on to Dan where we enjoyed a delicious fish meal on the River Dan near the ruins of Baniass (god Pan) near Caesarea Philippi. | Traditional site of the Sermon on the Mount | The next day we flew out of Tel Avid back to London to catch our flight to Mwanza!
10: Waiting in the airports was a part of the journey ....Next time we will get a better travel agent than Pat :) . | The long layovers were not much fun, but friends manage! Israel was our first stop-- now on to Mwanza, Tanzania via London Heathrow.

13: Chairs were brought by bicycle for us, then returned to the church for the meeting | Calvin checking the road on the way to church | We ate this meal while waiting for the church to gather. | There is a baby on her back. | Our meal was prepared in this hut. | Sunday to meet with a church --a 1 1/2 hrs drive one way! | The "Cho"
14: Meeting with this church took some 'doing', but it was worth it to have fellowship with them. A cripple lady walked five miles to get there. | It was a short walk to the building.
15: On Monday Aaron and Marisa Bailey and Lazaros showed us around the town of Mwanza.
16: On Tuesday Calvin, Bob & Philip took the rest of the grain to famine victims on the other side of Lake Victoria. We four girls enjoyed an Indian meal in town.
17: Safari in the Serengeti with Calvin | We failed to get a picture of the very large alligator that was sunning right beside our vehicle. That was really scary!

20: Headed for Home via London... | Energy levels after Sunday meeting.... | As Pat was pulling out her passport, something hit the floor--Someone said, "look, a washer!" It was her wedding ring that had been missing since we were at the Spa in Israel.
