A Winter to Remember - Page Text Content

BC: Aaron and Lauryn......taking a spill! | Renae and Drew, speeding down the hill. | It was a ton of fun to have our own snow hill on our street, daddy did a great job of making HUGE pile for the kids to enjoy! | Hold on!!!!..... | Everyone pitching in to dig a trench for the fort.

FC: A Winter to Remember | 2010

James is very easily entertained by Jonah, which is VERY helpful to mom when she needs to get some things done! Thanks Jonah!

James and Daddy......always having a good time together! Whether it is snuggling, goofing around or being carried around like a dog, Daddy can being a smile to James face, anytime!

James' favorite game! Peek-a-boo! I love the his face as he waits for the blanket to land on his face, and don't forget his "flapping wings"!!

Living is this house, James really has no choice but to LOVE hunting! For some reason he is happy when he is holding this gun, and snuggling is his camo gear from Uncles!

James was so so sweet this night, he was sharing his pipey with daddy and then he would take it back and throw it on the floor. This went on and on, can you guess who got tired first? Hint: his name does not start with a "J".......

James and Drew have fun together after the older boys go to bed, this night Drew was running up and tickling James and James could not get enough! I love the look of anticipation on James' face as he waits.

Drew in his "big boy" under wear! Being the big boy that he is, he like to attempt to get himself dressed, good try buddy!

Drew by the fire. Daddy showing Jonah a new trick. Daddy pulled out Jonah's 4th tooth, a 1st for daddy! Our new favorite game is Trouble, we play a game or two every night. The boys were fighting like crazy, so I put a movie in so they could chill, I found them sitting like this--funny how they got along so well all of a sudden!

"Seriously, who took my snack?? " James is good at loosing his puffs, I think he is wondering why we are all laughing!

James is 9 months already! | Drew riding his bike in the snow!

Big brothers are SO much fun!! James is easily amused by Jonah!

even James gets in on the fun! | One of the great perks about the unfinished basement is that the boys can ride their bikes down here.......

James, at 9 months, is going through a VERY crabby and sick time. He is spoiled from being held, and cries when not being held. So in the bottom left picture daddy is giving James a little talking to before devotions. He has trouble with allergies, eczema, and needed a breathing treatment, on top of all that he had bronchitis and an ear infection. No wonder he was crabby and got spoiled!

We had so so much fun on a hike behind our house! Drew lost his mitten with-in the first 2 minutes of the hike---good we found it. (Top left) Everyone wanted to take a picture, that is why some of crooked or our heads are cut off. (Left) How could resist doing a snow angel on fresh, never walked on snow?!?!?

Jonah was trying to shoot down the geese. Drew got tired near the end, so mommy carried both boys. Drew had a hard time settling down for a nap when we got home, he was busy watching the 4-wheelers outside.

The "storm of the century" Feb. 1-2, 2011. | The buried canoe, shows just how deep the snow was before the wind picked up and moved it all over! | We attempted to play in the snow, but we did have a hard time walking but it was a blast anyway! | The view out of the basement window, we were buried!

 Sledding in our front yard.

We were excited for the "snow storm of the century"!! We were not let down! It started the afternoon of Tues. Feb. 1 and went to late afternoon of Weds. Feb. 2. With a great deal of wind to follow the next day. We got about 22 inches! School was canceled for 2 days and daddy was out plowing for days!! Some drifts were up to 5 feet! The kids LOVED all the snow and the huge snow piles that daddy made for them with his plow!! We were snowed in for a couple days, as you can see from the page before, our windows downstairs were nearly covered with the snow! | The cool cool tunnels that the boys made! Hours of fun! Keagan, Jonah, Kent, Drew and Aaron

Having fun with the Ward's and making snow angels!

WOW! Look how tall the snow pile next to our driveway was!

One of the nights when daddy was out plowing we had dinner by the VanOverloop's. It was fun! Nice to get out of our "snow cave." Kendra really was happy to see James. Drew and James were pretty interested in the music that Trevor and Ryanne were playing. | James LOVES his blanky (or should I say blankys, he in not particular to any one of them.)

Hofstra Family Ruenion. Grandma-Great's family. James was quite taken with Aunt Char and Aaron enjoyed playing with her granddaughter Sophie. James was busy learning how to cruise around in a new walker---with the help of one of his 3rd cousins.

We cannot talk about the winter fun we had without mentioning Shelby's PRECIOUS puppies, that we ALL fell in love with! They were born end of January and we loved going to visit them. She had 5 brown girls and 5 black boys!
