3: Above the Influence This symbol is important to me because I do not believe in underage drinking or at anytime in life doing drugs. I believe it is very wrong and unhealthy. It's a symbol that represents a part of my life. | Volleyball This symbol is important to me because the sport of volleyball plays a huge role in my life. I love to play volleyball, and the sport has made it so easy for me to not fall under peer pressure to drink or do drugs. This volleyball represents a little of who I am. | Basketball This symbol is important to me because it's a sport I love to play. I love the competition that basketball brings, and it's a part of me. | Breast Cancer This symbol is extremely important to me because a loved one in my life was diagnosed with it. I admire her for being strong and surviving from it. It's a huge part of my life and culture today.

5: Respect One of my values that I have in my life is respect, and it's very important to me because I believe that to get respect you have to give it. Respect is so important because you have to be respectful of people in order to be successful in life. | Honesty Another value that I have in my life is honesty. Honesty is the value that I believe is the most important. Without honesty you never know who you truly are or what you're really capable of. You can't go through life faking who you are. | Kindness The next value I believe is important in my life is kindness. I believe that simple acts of kindness as I go from day to day could change someone's life. I think that if I can do at least one act of kindness a day, it means that I am living my life to the fullest. | Integrity The last value that I think is extremely important is integrity. It's not enough to do things because you know it's right and that people know you are doing it. You have to understand that doing things when no one is watching is a true sign of good character.

7: Dogs A material culture that my family and I believe are an important part of who we are are our dogs, Sophie and Mya. They are extremely important to us because they provide a sense of comfort to our home. They also eliminate the feeling of being alone. | Laptop A technology item that defines me is my laptop. My laptop helps me to stay in touch with new technologies, and new ways of communication. I love being on the computer, and it's one of the technologies that defines a little of who I am. | Camera The last technology that's important in my life is my camera. My camera allows me to capture moments of my life that I always want to remember. It's a form of capturing my memories so they're never forgotten. | Phone Another technology item that's important to who I am is my cellphone. I can never go anywhere without it, because I always want to be able to have to option to communicate with my friends and family if I need to.

9: Family Family means so much to me in my life. My family is the basis of who I am and they're always there for me. Family will never leave you and they will always be by your side no matter what happens, and I try to hold on to that in my life. | Friends The friends in my life make my life what it is. They show me what friendship really is and what it means. My friends make my life interesting but I don't know what I would do without them. I appreciate everything they do for me, and they are really important in my life.
