BC: Created by Jennifer Boylan with photos from everyone
FC: Bahamas 2011
It all began on August 6, 1961 when Bob Smith wed Sheila Rabinowitz. | Sidney and Teddy Smith, Bob and Sheila Smith, Sylvia and Abe Rabinowitz.
We gathered in April, 2011 to celebrate Bob and Sheila's 50th anniversary. These pics are from dinner out our second night at the Bahamian fish fry where lots of locals dine once a week.
The little cousins played ring around the rosie (Tanner tackling poor Aven).
From left, Kyla Quinn (2), Zoe (3), Aven (1), and Tanner (2). | We dined on two kinds of fish, conch fritters, and conch salad.
On April 20, 2011, Terrence turned 43. We celebrated with a fishing themed cake. Then we had a second cake the next night thanks to a fortuitous duplicate cake order.
 Communal Bathing
The boys chartered a fishing boat. It was Jamie's first time out with The Men.
Zoe and Tanner hanging out in Grandma and Grandpa's suite. | Tanner loved riding in the backpack. Especially at 6am.
A typical day: some time at the beach and some time at the house. The herons liked our pool.
 And now for the shirts . . . .
Thanks to Monitor Premiums, we had special t-shirts made to commemorate the occasion. We wore them to dinner our third night as a surprise. Pebbles (right) photographed our group.
 Hanging out in the house,
We took lots of photos, and then we feasted. We had Norma cooking for us most days, which was a total luxury. It made vacation feel like a vacation.
Brett's iPad has Jamie's full attention.
Fruit Ninja Jamie | Crib escape artist Tanner
 Soaking up the sun!
Five cousins in a row, from youngest to oldest.
Bob and Sheila took one day to to birding with a guide. Afternoon naps were popular with everyone young and old.
 Jamie read The Four Questions.
We celebrated passover with a seder, complete with several bags o' plagues.
We rented No. 2 Spanish Main in Freeport, Bahamas, owned by Tony Sullman. Our house had a pool, dock, beach access, and a guest house where Brett and Elisa's family slept.
 This way to the beach
 Another perfect Bahamian beach day
Staying cool by the pool was a favorite afternoon past time while the little kids napped and before dinner.
Chef Dave grilled for us one night. The scene below right was a common one: everyone glued to an iPad.
The kids showed off their swimming talents each afternoon in the pool. | Michele, looking very relaxed
The ladies took a shopping expedition towards the end of the trip. | Pretty Kyla
Many a fish were caught from our dock which gave us access to a salt water inland canal.
 Kyla catches a fish

Last day of vacation | woo hoo!
