Beevis Makes a Friend by Lisa Larsen
Beevis was not like other dogs. She didn't like to run after cats or bark at other dogs.
She liked to dance and chase shadows instead.
When she was a puppy, other dogs teased her and this made her very shy and nervous around them.
So instead of running after other dogs she liked to daydream and play with her stuffed animal friends.
Together they had wonderful adventures. They learned to tango...
They went on long walks around their neighborhood.
They jumped in mud puddles and got soooo dirty.
They rolled in the powdery snow and made castles as high as the sky.
When they got home they did Beevis' favorite thing: take long lazy naps.
It was after one of these naps that Beevis met the great, wise and lazy Magnificent Kitty.
 She loved to nap.
 ...and nap
 ...and nap.
The Magnificent Kitty was old and wise and taught Beevis to be true to herself and friends will come.
The Magnificent Kitty introduced Beevis to her friend Spunky who loved to nap and lay in the sun.
Together they ran in the backyard and played make believe games.
 and then they napped.
 They were friends ever since.
