Immigration. Are they kidding?? | We spent a day in Belize , located in Central America. We took a tender from the ship , which flew over the water causing nothing but terror on the faces of the passengers.

A variety of beautiful foliage in Belize, brilliant in colors. We took a bus to this location, which was stopped by armed guards and greeted by locals.

We spent the day climbing around this ancient Mayan ruin. Hmmm..?? Notice the gift shop in the top left corner and the FritoLay chip stand to the left!

After the day in Belize a cocktail party made us ALL HAPPY! | Elizabeth presented Scott with a moose hat from Alaska...and of course , he wears it very well!

While we play the cast is hard at work in rehearsal. Scott decides he won't watch the rehearsal but does pose for a pix before show time.

No kidding....this crew worked everyday to make certain the show is FABULOUS! Elizabeth loves this!

The port of SantoTomas was a welcome day of relaxing and swimming in a tropical setting. The port was lined with fancy palms and tourists on cruise ships are a Big Event | Santo Tomas is one of the most important port cities in Guatemala. It is located in the eastern Gulf of Honduras coast on the Amatique Bay. Santo Tomas Guatemala was originally settled in the 19th century by Belgian pioneers. The port here was built in the 1960

Costa Maya, the newest port in the Western Caribbean, may be located on a peninsula but in effect it feels more like a private island created from scratch expressly for cruisers. Costa Maya is located on the Caribbean Sea approximately 100 miles south of Playa del Carmen and quite close to the border of Belize. Costa Maya is what you'd expect if, say, Disney World decided to create its own private island in Mexico: a man-made tourism village with bars, restaurants, shops and pools at the ready. The faux village itself was created solely to woo cruise passengers and it has a myriad of facilities -- pools, restaurants, bars, shops and a small beach (though it's too rocky to swim). Since Costa Maya first began accepting cruise passengers in February of 2001, the developers have added a beach house and water sports area, which is actually well away from the main village and is typically used by cruise lines as a shore excursion option. Beyond that? What's interesting is that in developing an entire destination out of scratch in a place whose only settlement was the nearby village of Mahahual, 200 residents strong, the folks who created Costa Maya had to build everything. They worked with Coca-Cola to install water sanitation systems (and yes, it is safe to drink water within the Costa Maya confines). They built brick-paved roads and concrete cottages for the employees who pretty much all come from elsewhere and needed housing.

This was a very short day in the port ..spent shopping and enjoying the water. Pirates with monkeys greeted the HAL ships. The color of the water is gorgeous! | Smile | The Ryandam | The greeting committee

Towel critters made by the staff | Every night a different one..even with eyes | We all enjoyed the room, the view and the cruise. Elizabeth made herself right at home and loved being in a room bigger than a twin bed

Thursday is formal night and we really dressed up. Elizabeth had a show but was able to join us to celebrate | Scott was really in step with his white dinner jacket and popsicle green accessories.

The cast poses for photos with family and other cruisers on the last evening. Elizabeth kept saying "Hurry Up" as the hat she has on is very heavy! She is posing with two friends, Angela and Paddy.

Backstage tour includes a look at the costumes racks and prop stands. Above are Elizabeth's wigs. | It is a very small area...can you imagine it filled with girls and make-up?
