BC: She loved to laugh When it hurts too much to stand When you double over and catch your breathe When you hold on to the person next to you She loved to smile At a new face at the door At Sunday gatherings of family at sundown At the neighbor tending a garden She loved to dance With swinging arms about With toes floating on wooded floors With the crowd of a celebration She loved to sing To the boy turning one year older To the faces of fellow carolers To the man dressed in red and white She loved a feast A table full of delectable delights A mess of tables and chairs A gaggle of uncles and aunts on the first day of a new year | She loved the world The sights and the sounds of unfamiliar villages The excitement of boarding an aircraft The destination of possibilities She admired strength The career woman in the mirror The undeterred will of her children The setting of levels above and beyond She loved her family Her son beaming with pride Her daughters full of inspiration Her grandchildren with a legacy of hope Her life required... No long faces No tears No sadness For she was the life of the party She was the life of the party --Derick | Life of the Party
