S: SIR GAWAIN AND THE GREEN KNIGHT
FC: Sir Gawain and the Green Knight continued... | By Nolan 8-3
1: As the Green Knight left, Arthur sent a scout to follow him to find out where he lived. While they were waiting for the scout to return, Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table were discussing on what to do. Would they wait for the day to come in one year and one day or send a raiding party of knights to kill the Green Knight? "I will keep my promise to the Green Knight to keep my honor!" proclaimed Gawain. Arthur agreed to this. Two days later the scout returned and told Arthur that the Green Knight lived 7 miles from Camelot in a small hovel in the dark woods.
2: When the day came for the Green Knight to come to Camelot and repay the deal. Arthur and the Knights at the Round Table are planning an ambush on the Green just as he is to leave his house in the woods. Arthur has sent his best nogotiator to talk Gawain into not going through with this bet because the Green Knight is immortal. King Arthur sends his second in charge, Sir Lancelot to take a handful of knights and siege to take care of the Green Knight.
4: Sir Lancelot set off with 20 highly skilled knights, 15 Long bowmen, 2 Ballistas and 1 catapult in hunt for the green knight. They get to the little house and surround it so there are no escapes. Lancelot sends a fast archer to check if the Green knight is inside. The archer sprints back to Lancelot to confirm that he is inside. Lancelot orders the catapult to fire first then the ballistas then the archers shoot when he is in sight. The Knights go in to make sure he is dead, if he isn't then they will cut him up into pieces. They travel back to the castle and they feast upon the death of the Green Knight.
