2: A Texas A&M University Football Football, Team Texas A&M University is located in College Station, Texas. The school's supporters are called Aggies. Their mascot is a Collie. Texas A&M's color is maroon. The head coach for the football team is Mike Sherman.

3: B Baylor University Women's Soccer Soccer, Team Baylor University is located in Waco, Texas. Their mascot is the bears. The soccer team just finished the most successful season in a decade. The school colors are green and gold. The Betty Lou Mays Soccer field is the field that the Bears play on.

4: C The History of Cycling Biking, History The history of cycling dates all the way back to the 1800s. Although, in the 1400s a man named Giovanni Fontana invented the first human powered land vehicle. In 1817, the first bicycle was developed. Since then, the popularity of bikes has increased majorly. In the year 1986, cycling was the third most popular sport in the U.S.

5: D Dallas Rowing Club Extreme, Team The Dallas Rowing Club is located in Dallas,, Texas. The Dallas Rowing Club boathouse is located on Shorecrest Drive at Bachman Lake. The general location is north of the Dallas Love Field Airport. The Dallas Rowing Club pays special attention to youth. I costs $375.00 per year for a family membership.

6: E Frank Erwin Center Sports and Music Venue The Frank Erwin Center is a venue located in Austin, Texas. The Frank Erwin Center is a sports venue as well as a music venue. The Frank Erwin center was constructed in 1977. It cost $34 million to build! The first event ever to occur was UT Men’s Basketball vs. The University of Oklahoma.

7: F UIL Track and Field Track, Competition The University Interscholastic League was created by The University of Texas at Austin. It was founded in 1909 and has grown to be largest inter-school organization in the world! There are UIL competitions for athletics, academics, and music. UIL participants are in middle school and high school.

8: G Gregory Gymnasium Sports Venue The address of Gregory Gymnasium is 2101 Speedway Austin, TX 78712. This gymnasium is named after Thomas Watt Gregory. He was one of the thirteen graduates at UT in 1885. The Gregory Gymnasium was built in 1930 with a cost of $500,000. In December of 1995, the gym was closed for a 26.3 million dollar renovation.

9: H Houston University Volleyball Volleyball, Team The address of Houston University is 4800 Calhoun Road, Houston, Texas 77004. Their mascot is a cougar and their school colors are scarlet red and albino white. On April 23, 2011 the Cougars added four new members to their roster. The head coach is Molly Alvey and the two assistant coaches are Nicole Miller and Steve Vencl.

10: I Canyon Creek Indoor Doubles Classic Tennis, Competition Canyon Creek Indoor Doubles Classic is an annual tennis competition. This event takes place on January 1, 2011. In order to pay, one has to pay a fee of $54.25. This event takes place in Richardson, Texas. The director of this event is Sally Frame.

11: J Jeremy Hills Football, Individual Jeremy Hills is a "running back" for the University of Texas football team. His hometown is Houston, Texas. He attended Alief Elsik High School in Houston. Hills stands 6 feet tall and weighs 202 pounds. He attended UT because "he likes winning and they are winners."

12: K Kyle Owen Classic Soccer, Competition The Kyle Owen Classic is a soccer tournament that takes place in McKinney, Texas. The tournament will be held from June 24-26, 2011. The deadline to sign up is June 13, 2011. The cost is $575. The teams will be divided by gender and experience level.

13: L Lanier 50th Anniversary Golf Tournament Golf, Competition Lanier 50th Anniversary Golf Tournament was held at Avery Ranch Golf Club in Austin, Texas. The tournament took place on May 14, 2011. The entry fee was $100 per person or $360 for a team with four people. When the tournament is concluded there will be a dinner buffet. The charities are Lanier boys/girls benefiting golf teams.

14: M Minute Maid Park Baseball, Venue Minute maid Park is located in downtown Houston, Texas. The address is 501 Crawford Suite 400 Houston, TX 77002. The capacity of Minute Maid Park is 40,950. The total square footage is 1,263,240 square feet. The first game ever played at Minute Maid Park was between The Houston Astros and the New York Yankees on March 30, 2000, with Houston winning 6-5.

15: N The History of Netball History, Netball In 1981, a 30-year-old Canadian, James Naismith immigrated to the U.S. The Boston YMCA asked him to invent a women's version of basketball. The game was brought to many countries by the 1900s. Women liked the game, but they found the long passes difficult. They modified the rules somewhat and changed the ball to a smaller ball.

16: O Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Extreme, Competition The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show takes place in Katy, Texas. It has grown into the oldest and most prestigious horse show in the country. Pin Oak raises millions of dollars for Texas Children’s Hospital and The Ronald McDonald House of Houston. The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show is held over a two week period at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center.

17: P Lost Pines Golf Club Golf, Venue Lost Pines Golf Club is located in Bastrop, Texas. An annual membership costs anywhere from $500-$575. Every Thursday night there is a golf tournament. It starts at 5:30. The address is Loop 150 and Hwy 121 Bastrop, Texas 78602. The course manager is Robbie Robinson.

18: Q Quincy Aldridge Football, Individual Quincy Aldridge is a football player for Texas Christian University. He is 6-2 and weighs 195 pounds. His hometown is Whitehouse, Texas and he attended Whitehouse High School. He is currently a freshman at TCU. He is one of the "strikers".

19: R Retama Park Extreme, Venue Retama Park is located in Selema, Texas. It is 15 miles north of San Antonio and 60 miles south of Austin.The gates open at 10:30 a.m. The Turf and Field Dining Room is located on the top floor and has a panoramic view of the racetrack. Races are grouped into categories, such as: Thouroughbreds, Quarter Horses, and Mixed Quarter Horses.

20: S Lara Slesnick Swimming, Individual Lara Slesnick is a competitive swimmer for Texas A&M University. Her hometown is Austin, Texas. She is a graduate of Lyndon B. Johnson High School. She holds the records at her high school for the 500 yard free-style swim and the 500 yard butterfly. She chose A&M because "On my visit, I loved the atmosphere of both the team and the school. The coaches are serious, yet extremely fun. Everything here is just wonderful!"

21: T Track/Field History Track, History The history of track and field dates all the way back to 776 BC. The Ancient Greeks held Olymipcs. Only men participated in these events. The Olympic games died out, and it wasn't until 1896 that it grew popular again.

22: U TCU Basketball Basketball, Team Texas Christian University is located at 2800 S. University Dr., Fort Worth, Texas 76129. Their mascot is the horned frog. The school colors are purple and white. The men's basketball team's average points during a game is 67.8. The women's basketball team average points per game is 67.7.

23: V Volleyball Volleyball, History In 1995, volleyball was 100 years old. There are more than 46 million Americans who play volleyball. Volleyball originated in the United States. In 1895, William G. Morgan, an instructor at the YMCA in Holyoke, Massachusetts, decided to blend the elements of basketball, baseball, and tennis to create a game that would demand less physical contact than basketball. What he came up with was the game of volleyball.

24: W Lily Weeks-Murphy Extreme, Individual Lily Weeks-Murphy was born in Los Angeles, California. She lives in Austin, Texas. She will be attending St. Edward University in Austin, Texas. Murphy plans to start a riding club at this college. She teaches riding lessons at Switch Willow Stables.

25: X BMX Biking Biking, History BMX, which stands for bicycle motorcross bikes, have been found in races and events throughout the world. In the late 1970s, BMX Biking was founded in Southern California. In the summer of 2008, BMX officially developed into an Olympic game for the very 1st time. BMX Biking is categorized into five different types - dirt, park, flatland, street and vert.

26: Y Yao Ming Basketball, Individual Yao Ming plays for the Houston Rockets. Ming was born on September 12, 1980, in Shanghai, China. He was not interested in basketball until he was nine years old. By the time he was twelve , Ming became serious about basketball. His parents sent him to Shanghai's Provincial Sports Academy.

27: Z Kim Zmeskal Gym, Individual Zmeskal was born on February 6, 1976, in Houston, Texas. She began gymnastics in 1982. In 2005,she was a balance beam judge for the U.S. National Gymnastics Championships.She and her husband Chris are co-directors of Texas Dreams Gymnastics. She coaches gymnasts and choreographs floor and beam routines.

31: Dear Coach Kee: Thank you for a wonderful experience this year! I really enjoyed your class. You made it interesting and enjoyable! The LTTS and WOWs were helpful for a warm-up because they prepared me for class. I hope you continue to show "Roots" for your future classes because I I gained a lot of knowledge from it. I hope we can stay connected when I move to Southlake, Texas! Good luck next year and all of the years to come! I will never forget you and your class! ~Christie Byrne~
