3: We went to Safeco Field on Friday, May 6 to watch the Seattle Mariners vs. the Chicago White Sox. We got seats at the 'Hit It Here Cafe' which included food & drinks. The Mariners won 3-2.
4: Pikes Place Market The open air market was a highlight for all of us. Fresh produce was displayed like a piece of art work and vibrant flowers littered the shelves in every color.! Fish, nuts and pasta lined the aisles. We even sampled a bit too.
6: Juneau, Alaska is the only capital in the US that you can not drive to, you either need to fly in or take a boat. With a population of 30,000 it's top employers are Government and tourism.
8: We went on a whale watch tour in the capital city of Juneau. We witnessed hump back whales, sealions and bald eagles. We enjoyed a private tour of God's beautiful creation on our first excursion.
10: The Mendenhall Glacier is in the Icefields of Juneau. It is the source to over 40 large valley glaciers and 1oo small glaciers. The face of the glacier is 1.5 miles wide & 12 miles long. There are so many beautiful views at the visitor center. *Notice how small the people in front of the waterfall & glacier are.

13: We watched hump back whales from the ship throughout the cruise. We didn't always have a camera close but we did get some good pictures! The scenic views from the ship were beautiful, like nothing we've ever seen before!
14: We spent 2 hours taking in the breath taking views of the Hubbard Glacier. We are still about 4 miles from the glacier which stands 300-400 ft. tall and the face of the glacier is 6 miles long. It is fed for 76 miles from Mt. Logan. The mountain in the backdrop stands over 10,000 ft. tall. | Hubbard Glacier

17: When the glaciers calve, large chunks of ice fall off and icebergs are formed. Our ship was the first of the season to break through the sheet of ice to get closer to the glacier. The shades of blue are incredible!!
20: We had a great time bonding and making memories as a family! We all enjoyed the trip & our time together!
22: A dormant volcano, Mt. Edgecumbe, stands 3200 ft. as a beautiful backdrop for the O'Connell Bridge and rests in Sitka which is the city with the largest land area in the US.

25: Sitka is such a beautiful little town. We walked 1 mile & visited the Sitka National Forest which houses 23 totem poles from the Tlingit Tribe. We discovered some beautiful houses on the islands scattered around the coast. Sitka also inhabits a lot of wildlife and an eagle sanctuary. There's a lot of history in Sitka too.
26: The Bering Sea crab fishing vessel, the Alleutian Ballad, seen on the 'Deadliest Catch' season 2, took us on a 3.5 hour tour of the sea just off the coast of Ketchikan. They pulled in pots of snow, king and Dungeness crab, octopus, prawns, and more. The crew told of their adventures of crab fishing on the BeringSea, that was a highlight!
30: We sat at the same table each night for 11 in the Main Dining Room. Eddy and Hendra were our severs and they were delightful. The food was wonderful and the desserts were spectacular! Everyone looked so nice!

33: Some of the activities we enjoyed were the spa, hot tub, food, games, towel folding, ping-pong, food, relaxing, whale watching, more food, evening entertain-ment and family bonding time.

36: Every port we chose different excusions. Boes walked 7 miles to the the Mendenhall Glacier & then walked on it in Juneau.That was the highlight of their trip. In Sitka they went to the eagle sanctuary while the Ymkers and Brian went kayaking for 3.5 hours. We all walked in the National Forest area & found crawdads.
37: Brian and Hayley went on a zipline in Juneau and a jeep tour in Ketchikan. Hayley was in her glory because she got to drive the whole time!
