6: Never Forgotten At one point in my life I only had one pet. These pets have hard shells with yellow spots and lines on it. They are turtles. The only bad thing about them is that they like to go on little adventures, my turtle Marshall especially. The other turtle, my little brother's, on the other hand does not. He always gets scared of anybody he sees. Sometimes I wonder how our turtles are even brothers. They are so different. My brother's turtle is named Sherman. I call him shy Sherman. When we first got Marshall and Sherman, we thought they were girls. Marshall was Quizzy and Sherman was Shy Shy. I thought we should have left Marshall with his old name, but my sister said that it was a girly name. Of course we couldn't leave Sherman as Shy Shy because that is just a horrible name for a boy. Sherman did not know what my brother would do to him, but he soon found out. I always tried to stop my turtle from playing with his turtle. It was so horrible; he would bounce the turtle on the super bouncy trampoline, slide him down the bright orange slide, and make him stay in the muddy sandbox. He doesn't do this now, thank goodness, he is a little bit older. My brother has learned his lesson big time. One day I went outside to feed the turtles. I was really the only one who fed them and gave them water. I looked for both of them and I only found one. I thought I was hallucinating. You are going crazy! I told myself. Maybe I should look again. I looked and I only found one turtle yet again. This was not good because that missing turtle was mine. I was responsible for it and it's gone. Gone! During this time in my life, I was only 6 or 7 years old. I thought this turtle was very important. It was to help prove how responsible I can be with a pet. If I don't have the turtle, how am I supposed to prove I can take care of a pet? After I checked the most obvious places for the pet to be I ran into the house. "Mom I can't find Marshall!" "Did you look everywhere?" she questioned me. "I think so," I answered. I didn't know this, but I forgot one place. It was the strawberry patch. I had to check there because the turtles love to go in there and eat our strawberries. When I went over to the strawberries Marshall wasn't there. I got so sad all of the sudden. It felt like a ton of bricks just hit me. With tears welling up in my eyes, I knew I had to be tough. It was just a turtle that I lost. No big deal. Now I realized that he was more important than anything. He was a cute little friend that I always had. He was always happy to see me when I fed him because he would crawl over to me. What if something bad happened to him? I really wanted him back. Now all the happy times and him are gone. It feels like whatever I get attached to is going to be gone. He always looked at everyone with interest, he never got scared, he always ate his food, | was an expert at climbing, and loved to explore. This turtle was the only pet I had besides a fish. He was a part of the family that we lost. I hoped that my neighbors or friends would call saying that they found my turtle. There was no call that day, or the next, or the next, or ever. If you love something, spend more time with it. Someday it will be gone. Marshall is still missing to this very day. I don't know what happened to him, but what I do know is that I will never forget him.

14: The Harp Fred is an explorer. He has brown hair, and eyes as blue as the ocean. Fred is also a good natured guy. He loves to go and find things that are thought as myths. The quest he is going on, takes him to the beautiful mountains. He is trying to find the magical harp that makes the land stay beautiful forever. The trick is that you have to play the harp in order for it to work. To get to the harp, Fred did research and found a map to it. Cooper, Fred’s enemy, was also looking for the harp. Cooper was ruthless, and in search of more power. Cooper has jet black hair and green eyes. He thought that if he had the harp, people would pay him money to make their land beautiful. Sadly, this would never work. Fred started his journey on a beautiful day. The sun was shining brightly, and the air was crisp. The sky was like a crystal ball, and the clouds were huge and fluffy. During his journey, Fred ran into Cooper. Neither of them was happy to see each other. Cooper asked Fred where he was going on such a fine day. Fred said he was going to the harp. Cooper said that it was such a coincidence because he was going to the harp too. Then, being as evil as he is, Cooper challenged Fred to a race. He said that whoever gets to the harp first gets it. Fred took the challenge on, and continued on his journey faster than ever. Just as Fred made it to the harp, he thought it was a dream. It really is true. The harp is real! There was a river right by the harp. The sand on the shore of the river was like pixie-dust. Off in the distance Fred could see Cooper. Fred grabbed the harp, and hurried home. When Cooper got to where the harp was he was so angry. He said he never should have raced Fred. When Fred got home he played the harp. When he was done the land around his house was so beautiful. It stayed that way for the rest of Fred’s life. | The Harp Fred is an explorer. He has brown hair, and eyes as blue as the ocean. Fred is also a good natured guy.
