2: CHina In central china, the Yangtze river is east to the yellow sea. The Huang He river flows in the north of China. The Buddhist religious beliefs and ideas traveled along Central Asian trade routes in China. China's government is in a communist state. One of China's newest technology is the 968 kilometer high speed "WuGuang" train located in central China.
3: China In china, they use a writing system called sinograply, using Chinese characters. There are four major social classes in China. The highest class of people were the scholars and officials. The lowest was that of the merchants. China is fourth largest country in the world.
4: Mesopotamia Mesopotamia is a Greek word meaning 'between the rivers' Northern Mesopotamia is made up of hills and plains. The earliest form of writing was based on pictograms. Cuneiform was used by people throughout the ancient Near East to write several different languages. One of the most important technology contributions was the ability to control the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.
5: Mesopotamia At the top of the social classes were powerful government officials, priests, and soldiers. Mesopotamia was not a nation or a country'; it was a region between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. Mesopotamia was civilized by the Sumerian's which had a religious belief of many gods. Mesopotamia is modern day Iraq. Mesopotamia is located in the Fertile Crescent.
6: Egypt Egypt is divided into four main parts; The Nile Valley, The Arabian Desert, The Libyan Desert, and The Sinai. Egypt is 50 feet below sea level. The area of Egypt is 386662 square miles. By 200 BC, the tools changed from bronze tools to iron tools, which helped them build great monuments. The most famous of all ancient Egyptians scripts is hieroglyphics.
7: Egypt Egypt is governed under the constitution of 1971 as amended. The Pharaoh had the highest social status in ancient Egypt and was head of the country. Prisoners and criminals belonged top the lowest class of Egypt. The people of ancient Egypt were polytheistic. Some of the gods they worshiped were Anubis, Set, Osiris, Iris, and Horus.
8: Indus River Valley The Indus valley is located between the Indus and Ganges rivers. The environment in the Indus valley consists of seasonal monsoons. Technology in the Indus Valley is plumbing and sewage systems. Written language is also a part of Indus Valley's technology. The Indus River Valley government was ran by religious leaders.
9: Indus RIver Valley The Indus river valley feeds the Indus submarine fan located in the Arabian sea. From about 2600 B.C to 1700 B.C a vast number of settlement were built on the banks of the Indus River and surrounding areas. The cities of the Indus Valley were well organized and solidly built out of brick and stone. Their drainage systems, wells and water storage systems were the most sophisticated in the ancient world. Unlike some other ancient civilizations, we are still unable to read the Indus River Valley's writing.
