3: Led was used for pencils until scientist found out it was poisonous. They started using graphite instead of lead. Graphite is a metamorphic rock. | Marble is a type of metamorphic rock. It is used for sculptures and counter tops. Slate is used for roof tops.

4: Igneous rock forms when magma cools quickly. Granite is also an igneous rock. It can be changed through weathering and erosion or heat and pressure. | In the picture the doctor is using a obsidian surgical blade. Obsidian is a type of igneous rock. | Igneous rock

5: Granite is a type of igneous rock. It is used for counter tops. | The type of rock depends on how fast the magma cooled or what rock was melted and cooled. | Basalt is another kind of igneous rock. It is used for road construction.

6: Sedimentary rock | Sedimentary rock forms when other rock sediments gather up using weathering and erosion and harden. They can change through melting and cooling or heat and pressure. | Sandstone is a type of sedimentary rock. It is used for headstones.

7: Limestone is also a type of sedimentary rock. It is used for children sidewalk chalk. | Coal is a type of sedimentary rock. It is used for energy and heat.
