8: What I learned about Appalachian State University that I did not know before is that the tuition was so inexpensive compare to the room and board. Room and board definitely outweighed the tuition. It seems great that the college is in a highly populated area of the mountains. My least favorite aspect is the distance from home. I want to be able to visit home and not have to drive for extended amounts of time. Also the cold weather would bother me. I would like to go to Appalachian State University because of the low prices. | Reflection

17: What I learned about Western Carolina that I did not know before is that they have a bowling team. I was also surprised to see how inexpensive the in-state tuition was compared to the out-of-state tuition. The fact that Western is a smaller college is what invites me the most. It seems as though there would be less crowded. I do not like that it is in such a rural setting. It would be hard to find anything to do outside of the campus. I would like to go there. I have visited before and stayed the night with a friend. I had a good experience of the life of a college student. | Reflection
